Shiloh's fear reached a new level, and her speech was quick and quiet, almost a whisper, as she took another step back. She was quivering, Drake's warning vibrant in her mind.

Xapham. She recognized that name. He was the most well known of the Metas, the "face" of their people. Her heart was pounding. If he knew...
She gave a fierce shake of her head. "I don't know what you're talking about."

She paused a moment and looked at him. Why was he hurt? She took a deep breath. He terrified her, the fact that with a flick of his wrist he could take everything away from her...
She tried to steady herself, but refused to look at him.
"I'm... not like you, Mister Xapham."

She tried patting herself, though she knew that would do no good. She was fairly certain her Qi wasn't activated, but it was extremely easy for her to lose track.

Xapham sighed. This was going no where. He was used to the distrust... just not from his own people.

With that he would turn to leave.

She watched him go, and her heart ached. She shook her head. He could have answered so many of her questions... but she couldn't ask them. Could she?
Shuddering, Shiloh turned to try to find some wall she could sit against to curl up... and text Drake.
