“So what is your super power anyway?” Derik smirked.

"I have a few abilities. But I mostly use the ability to control my blood, and-"
He would point to his eyes.
"I can see, and manipulate souls and spiritual energy."

“That’s why you are saying you see me as being half dead?” Derik asked curiously

"Yeah, your soul looks it started to leave your body and then shoved it back in."
He would stare at the point.
"But not perfectly."

“Ah... I don’t know much about that but I do know I’m not going to be hurt very easy. My Qi allows me to... forego the part of my brain that tells me I’m at my limit. I’ve broken all kinds of bones and I’ve hardly felt it. Takes them a while longer to heal tho. It’s like I’m half alive... kinda like a zombie.” Derik chuckled.

"Uh... huh... So, that's what an undead soul looks like. Good to know. Next time I see a soul like your's I'll be sure to shoot them in the head first."
He would roll his eyes. Just how many freaks were there...

“Next time I meet a Dick like you maybe I’ll just kick him in the balls.” There was a sly grin on his face. The kid could take some insults it wasn’t but dust on his shoulder the way Drake was judging him.
They were arriving at the Grand Watson and it was simple from there to hop on a elevator through the lavish and well polished lobby. High ceilings and decorative pillars in with dark green and gold accents to compliment the light cream marble that matched the rest of the place bell hops greeted them and the desk men and women smiled their customer service faced with friendly hellos and welcomes.

"At least then you would be more interesting... before I killed you."
He would say staring daggers. As he followed the boy.

“You must be down right bored after coming from a world we’re almost everyone has super powers and stuff. People here make us hide or do terrible things like that riot.” Derik shrugged

Drake remained silent for a moment before answering.
"Trust me kid. Even with people acting out of fear like that riot the other day. You're lucky to have grown up here. You may have this delusion about hero's and super powers, and how great and good it all is..."
Rai would stare at Derik.
"But what it actually was, was war, death, destruction. No where was safe from an attack by a rival army, bandits, or mutated beasts. You couldn't trust anyone because people you grew up with and knew from the day they were born could turn on you in the blink of an eye because they had changed, either willingly or unwillingly..."
He shook his head.
"There was nothing about fairy tale about where we came from."

“That’s what Dad says, I just think it would be nice to have more friends like me without worrying about these monsters. I can spend more time with Professor X and the kids there but dad prefers if I stay close unless I get the chance to find an excuse to get this far from home.” He shrugged.

"Stop being a daddy's boy and do what you want then."
He would shrug.

“You wouldn’t e saying that if you knew who he really was...” Derik eyed him. a little wide as the elevator dinged signaling they arrived to their floor which didn’t open up to the hallways of the norm but straight to the suite living room. There was two standing by who had welcomed them one impartial gave Drake a stern expression.
“Derik, what have we told you bringing strangers around.” The suit he wore was pristine and his balding head was silvery and thin but well combed back. Drake might be able to note his tone and ire was directed towards Derik rather than having anything to do with Drake personally.
“Alfred, it’s okay he is from the metas like me.” Derik tried to defend himself.
“That matters little, you aught to be more cautious about any one who may do you or your sister harm.” He turned to drake. “Forgive us, he barely knows any sense of personal safety or of those around him if he forced or persuaded you to come you may leave at your convenience. Otherwise we’d be happy to have you as a guest under watchful eyes.”

Before the doors opened Drake would scoff.
"I fear no being. I met a divine and spat in it's face and I'm still alive. I couldn't care less who your father is or what fears you have. If you want to be the best you have to surpass those that would hold you down."
When the doors open he would stare into the soul of the man standing there...
"Then be aware I agree that the boy here should be more mindful of who he meets on the streets, and how he treats them. Which is why he and I are heading to, I believe he said the roof? So that I can teach him a lesson. Which will mostly consist of me causing him physical damage. Though as I understand it. That isn't a big deal for him so long as I don't impale his head."
He would chuckle.
"But I have no interests in his sibling, parents, or you. He picked a fight, and I accepted his challenge."

“Neither Dad or Sis need my protection.” He had a very certain look in his eye about that. In his mind he was even more certain that whatever was going to happen Drake would be more in danger with either of them than he would be with the 8 year old that stood before him.
The Man in the suit sighed long and in heavy exasperation. “Do you mind signing a waiver then?” He would ask Drake pulling out a paper and a fountain pen from a leather bound folder in his hands, it was as if he was very prepared for everything going on almost as if this certainly wasn’t the first go around of problems this boy has given these people. “Just a little something for our lawyers. We’ll treat and pay for any injuries you may sustain but we’d rather not have a big lawsuit should you decide to go public with the boys abilities or try to blackmail us for anything.”
He would give time for Drake to look it over should he choose.
