Her warm smile was unwavering "Are you sure you don't want anything? I'm paying."
At the mention of meeting her cousins the tall woman would say. "Gladly, I'll give you my number and we can see if something can be arranged! Sound good?"

"R-r...r..." She paused a moment, and a look of genuine pain crossed her features. She reached one hand up from her kangaroo pocket of her jacket and she rubbed her neck nervously for a moment. "Rabbit..." she finally said, and she sighed softly. "My name is Rabbit."

Josie never once judged, and was patient as Rabbit spoke her name. She did look concerned at the pained expression though.
"Is your throat okay, you don't have to talk if your throat is in pain!"

She would try and divert the conversation, not wanting them to feel bad about their throat. "What are your cousins like beyond scary?"

She nodded, and reached out to take ahold of her drink automatically, sipping from it as she contemplated Josie's question. It seemed to do her nerves some good to have a moment to think before she needed to respond.
"They're... strong. St-stronger than me. Some of them are... hard to g-get to know... b-but there's always more than meets... the eye?"
