Josie was waiting around outside a restaurant, seemingly waiting for someone. She had set up a poster in the front lobby of her new apartment building, advertising a lunch as a way to\meet new people from the building. It had the time and place, fun graphics and a nice message. Normally he would be going as Dj, but Josie had a show she would need to be at afterwards so he would have to settle. However, it appeared to be time now and nobody showed up early. She was okay with waiting a bit, but a small tinge of anxiety settled in. Maybe saying metas were allowed just as much as anyone else ended u dissuading people? If so, what did that say about this new building? Time would tell.

Runt was small and young, no older than sixteen, and looked nervous as could be as she wandered towards the meet and greet. She had her hands ducked into the kangaroo pocket of her hoodie, and a single ear bud in her ear. The other dangled down. She glanced both ways to check for cars before she hurried across the street.
Her heart was racing in her chest and her stomach was in knots as she approached the only person who seemed to be waiting.
"Ah... um? Excuse me?"

The woman would notice the surprisingly young girl come across the street. Just watching until Josie was approached. Was this someone who had come? Wow, so young to be out on her own! However, that wasn't important, the poor thing seemed terrified. Josie would stand, a model like beauty at 6'6" She would look to the nervous girl with the warmest, sweetest expression and say. "Hi, I'm Josie. have you come for the meet and greet?"

Runt jumped, startled, as she took in the woman's appearance. Her eyes widened. She was so... tall.
She swallowed and nodded, glancing away. She seemed skittish, jumpy... genuinely afraid. "I... Uh huh..."

Josie would bend down to eye level, giving a warm, calm expression. "Take a deep breath." She would say closing her eyes and doing so. "Take all your stress in..." she would inhale "and let it out." she would exhale and step back. "Take as much time as you need." and give her trademark smile.

Runt stumbled back a step as the woman lowered down to her level, her eyes widening. She tried to follow her example, but her breaths were shaky, and by the time she was done, it didn't seem like she had calmed down much. She kept her gaze averted.
"I... I am in the right place? Right?" She squeaked out. "I wasn't sure. And I think I'm late."

"You are, and you aren't late. It is exactly the right time." The tall beauty would say. "Let's go get a table, if anyone else shows we'll invite them over." She would say sweetly, still trying to calm the young girl.

Runt glanced back over her shoulder, as if looking for someone, but nobody seemed to be paying the duo any attention. She sighed softly and nodded, keeping her chin near her chest and her gaze down.
"O-okay. Yeah, sure. That sounds great."

"Umm. Its... I technically live with my..." She hesitated a moment, and then sputtered out, "c-cousins! I live with my cousins. Well, not my... They're not my real cousins. We are all orphans, you know? I'm, ah... I'm from the group that came a few years ago..."
She still seemed nervous, sitting at the table. She kept her hands in her pockets and stared at anything but the beautiful person before her.
"Did... you come on the Ark?"

Ahh, that made sense. Poor thing was so shy though!!!
"Fair enough, I'm very happy that you still have family. It must be nice to have someone to rely on." She was genuinely happy.
"Yes, I did." She would answer very plainly, stopping to put in a drink order.

Josie looked a little surprised at that statement. Huh... the implications may have sounded wrong.
