[Joy]

"I will go after Stigma." Joy gave a single nod, watching Pride make quick work of the carcass as they all called dibs on shifts. She couldn't help but relish in the small thrill of excitement at the idea of dealing with an alpha of those creatures, and a rumble in the back of her mind assured the warrior that she wasn't the alone one. Her fingers flexed in a repeated motion until the food was brought up again.

"We'll need wood for the fire." Joy's gaze went from Thorn to the trees beyond the clearing of their cabin, content to let the boys participate in that part of task for now.

She didn't dwell much on the idea of others outside their small circle of life. Whoever was out there was far enough away that they weren't a threat or a problem, probably dealing with their own troubles in this world. It was a problem for later.

[Pride]

"Works for me. We like to get up early anyways." Just before dawn most days. Ripping the rest of the hide from the carcass he'd next start on removing the organs and stripping the meat from the bones. "Wood should be dry though, hasn't rained in days." A small mercy. "We will probably want to start stocking up on wood as well. Just in case."

[Thorn Wyatt]

"I will look for wood while I'm gone."

Thorn nods, before beginning to walk off to the north.

He's content to get his watch going right away.

[Stigma Wyatt]

"As many as you can!" Stigma calls out to her brother, especially if they were going to stockpile.

She would start glancing around their 'property', thinking about the ways they could keep food for long periods without worrying about it going bad too quickly.

"We should try making a well or basement to have a cool place to store things." she'd suggest.

With strength and powers like theirs, that wouldn't take too long.

[Joy]

Another single nod as Joy eyed the creek for a moment. They had been fortunate, for now. The creek hadn't withered away, so they hadn't needed to move on. Or fight others off from it, like she'd done in the past. She could feel the protective urge grip her for a moment before she let out a long breath. Some habits died harder than others.

"A well, first."

[Pride]

"A well would be smart. And we could dig a storage for food. Or blast a hole into the ground."

He'd say with a far to wide grin.

Thorn heads off, gathering small bits of wood as he hunts for a large tree to bring back!

[Stigma Wyatt]

Stigma looks between Pride and Joy.

"We should see which one of you can make the biggest hole!"

Nothing like turning work into a competitive game.

[Joy]

Joy knows that tone. A small smirk touches her lips, quickly fading with a look of "no" to Pride at the mention of blowing up a hole to make a basement.

"One way to find out." Oh, she's down for that competition.

[Pride]

He'd chuckle.

"Hardly a fair fight. There are more of me than her. It wouldn't be one on one."

[Thorn Wyatt]

Smack. Smack. Smack.

Thorn is cutting a tree down with his hand.

[Stigma Wyatt]

Stigma would chuckle, tilting her head.

"I don't think she minds."

[Joy]

Joy's smirk grew wider.

"Excuses."

[Pride]

He gives a big shrug as if silently saying 'I told you so' before extending an arm for her to proceed.

"By all means then. Let's see it."

[Thorn Wyatt]

The length of time it's taking to cut down this tree is concerning.
