Thorn nods to his sister, still not putting the tree down.

"It was burning when I got there. I didn't see anything else, I was focused on the tree."

[Stigma Wyatt]

"Let's go, then." she agrees with Joy.

[Pride]

"Toss the flaming part into the creek to put it out and let's go!"

Time to see what's up!

[Joy]

Joy leads the way on foot!

"We'll need to put out the flames." How was up to each of them, but she couldn't say she was comfortable with an unknown fire that close to home.

[Thorn Wyatt]

Thorn does indeed drop it in the creek, basically damming it with the trunk of the tree, then goes to follow the others.

Even before they can see the flames, they can likely feel the sheer heat coming from the north. Much as Thorn had mentioned, the entire area is burning, but not the black flames of the creatures they have come to know. This is a more mundane fire, aside from the sheer amount of it.

It doesn't seem to be spreading quickly, however, it is traveling in specific directions, as if directed from elsewhere.

Stigma is almost confused when she realizes that the flames are...regular flames. As if that's stranger than the black ones, now. She glances around, trying to pin-point where it traveled from and heading there. It may be best to figure out the source.

She covers her mouth with her hand, trying not to inhale too much smoke.

[Pride]

Pride follows, his eyes lighting up red once more as he tries to get a feel on if their is anything living in the distance.

This was...strange. From the fact that the flames seemed normal to the fact it wasn't a chaotic spread. Joy's frown deepened as she pulled her arm over her nose and mouth, using the sleeve of her coat to protect her breathing as her eyes glowed an unusual blue-green.

She continued to lead the way, seeking any life energy or source amidst the flames.

Ability #4: Monster vision - Joy's eyes turn blue-green, growing brighter than normal and allowing her to see the life energy of those around her on a spectrum, including people, creatures, and living objects. These keen eyes allow Joy to pick up on details she may otherwise miss (+3 Perception).

Thorn follows as well, watching the fire. He hadn't seen a problem with the flames before, but if everyone else wanted to deal with them, he would follow suit.

[Pig God, God of Pigs]

Despite the flames, it's fairly easy for those who are looking to spot a man floating a few feet in the air with his back to them, in the midst of a clearing towards the center of the raging fire.

Pride's vision is able to tell the man is healthy, but strangely enough, his lifespan does not appear.

"H-hey!" Stigma calls out, her awkwardness starting to shine again as this was a new person and new people are terrifying to talk to.

"W-what are you doing?"

What's the point in setting more fires? Those creatures did enough of that.

[Pride]

Pride would let out a low rumbling growl from the back of his throat as his eyes narrowed on the figure.

"Careful. He's lifeless."

For lack of a better term. He hadn't seen something like this, it was different than looking at a dead body. There was something there, but it's nothing that he's seen before. That meant trouble, which honestly could be pretty fun.

[Joy]

Joy grunts at the warning and nods, pupils narrowing as she looks from the floating figure to the direction the flames were spreading, looking for some sign of what might be in the way of the flames since they seemed to be going on a particular direction.

She stops as Stigma calls out to the figure, stopping shortly in front of her.

There doesn't seem to be anything in the way of the flames, but rather, they are moving as if being controlled. Specifically heading in certain directions as if guided by an invisible hand.

The man suddenly drops, and he turns around with wide eyes.

"....oh shit, you can see me?"

Thorn just watches, because his player forgot to switch accounts.

"Of course we can." she says, not sure why they shouldn't.
