Soup Chef (Dime)

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would be back at the apartments after separating from Shiloh and WR. She was already nervous because the last time she spoke to Dime things... went south faster than a ton of bricks tossed off a cliff. She sighed. Still, this was for Shiloh...

[Dime Price]

Dime was near where Adelaide found her. Across from the apartments and cleaning off some counters. Upon seeing her Dime hadn’t been sure how to start up the conversation considering she obviously said a bit too much last time. How she would be chill to the bone if she brought her own Father with her.

“Welcome back.” Was all she managed to let out and even then it was a careful and gentle phrase. Almost as if she’d think the girl would crack hearing anything Dime had to say.

[Adelaide]

"Hey... yeah."

She would rub the back of her head.

"I, uhm, I'm sorry about last time... its just... not everyday you find out that you've got a doppelganger roaming the streets..."

She would say nervously.

[Dime Price]

“I too am sorry, it might not have been my place to say so much to you of all people about any of it.” She put down her washcloth and took of a pair of rubber gloves. “Some at the apartments are playing with the idea that there are possibly others out there with our own faces. I mean I don’t think your father would be the only one to have a match with one of our world. Still knowing you are not actually Drake maybe it gives theory to the likelihood that it might not be exactly wholly mirrored here. It might give comfort to say you certainly shouldn’t be worried he is you or that you two are the same in anyway. Your fathers have the same name and face but certainly they are not the same... they can’t be.”

Saying that might have been a convincing argument for herself as well as maybe for Adelaide.

[Adelaide]

Adelaide shrugged.

"Well... I can honestly say that I doubt my father would choose some lame ass nickname like 'The Blood Dragon' so... I guess thats true..."

She still seemed uncomfortable talking about the subject though despite her lame attempt at a joke.

[Dime Price]

Dime made a gasp but a smile crept on her lips. “I’ll have you know it was a proud and wonderful territory and he was a most powerful ruler.”

She chuckled. “Still was that the reason you made the trip here again or was there another?”

[Adelaide]

Adelaide chuckled as well.

"Sorry, yes, so... This might be kinda dumb to ask but... My... friend wants to do a soup kithen for Tent town here in a few days, but we don't really know how to cook. I saw you helping out here the other day and figured maybe you knew? If so we would really appreciate some of your time to help us out, I can even pay if you would like?"

[Dime Price]

“Oh, simple things I can do for sure, considering my ritzy upbringing I wasn’t in the kitchen much but I have a knack for throwing a few thing in a pot and making them filling and taste well enough. More so I’d be happy to help, maybe it will bring us metas into a better light, you think?” Yes in one life Dime was one of the last few in her territory to defend the blood castle but the life she remembers is a life before her territory was left to rot and fall into war her rich family and powerful business owning father with a spoiled favorite brother and she who was a second born with little to nothing to claim.

[Adelaide]

"That was what I was thinking as well, and we have a recipe and ingredients for a Cheddar and Broccoli soup."

She would add helpfully.

[Dime Price]

“The least I can do is follow a receipt. I’d be happy to help and get some of the others who are here to join in as well.” Dime placed hands on her hips proud of what was happening but her shoulders dropped slowly. “I’m actually surprised with the impression I left last time you’d actually come back to ask me of all people to help. It’s almost hard to tell who is doing who a favor with the hope of helping metas resting on this situation. Is it all because of your friend?”

[Adelaide]

"Yeah, you could say that. She is really important to me and she wants this to happen, and I'll be damned if I let awkwardness or stupidity stop me from doing everything I can to make what she wants come true."

She would say with a nod.

[Dime Price]

“A bond like that will move mountains.” She placed hands over her chest and made the most awed face. Dime just couldn’t help but be moved by such devotion. It was something she could relate to. “Alright tell me day, time, and place, I’ll most certainly be there... would you prefer I called you Miss Sudeki or...?” Dime was not sure how familiar she aught to be with the girl. Even if it was a different Sudeki line and time this one was still a member of a higher class and Dime was used to upholding those formalities.

[Adelaide]

"Nah, Miss Sudeki was my mom, and I'm not exactly as amazing as she was."

Adelaide would say with a sad smile.

"But no Adelaide is fine. What would you prefer to be called?"

[Dime Price]

“Dime... my father was Dollar Price, my brother was Quarter Price, I’m Dime Price. You can kind of see what motivated most of my blood relations. But you can call me Dime.” She grinned a bit

[Adelaide]

Adelaide nodded.

"Ah, yeah, damn. That's a bitch. Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Dime."
