Shiloh squeaked out slightly as Adelaide dragged her over to the couch. She blinked, obviously oblivious to the game that was being played, and looked between her friends with green eyes full of genuine innocence.
"Are you sure? I mean, I thought that as the host, I was supposed to do that."

She would turn to Shiloh and pet her hair.

Dj looked at what happened with Adelaide. Her being forward was sweet, this was good. Perhaps he could use this game to his advantage.

Shiloh made a slight face. She had invited everybody over and didn't quite understand why she shouldn't be playing the proper hostess... but it was two against one, and there was nothing she could do about it.
"Ummm, a slice of pizza would be awesome! The place Adel grabbed from is super yummy."

"I'm happy for you babe, can't wait to try it." He'd say to Adelaide as he got Shiloh some pizza, giving her a quick hug over the couch as he noticed she was off.
"Please, I want to help." He'd say sweetly as he went to go grab himself some.

Shiloh relaxed a bit as DJ handed her a slice of pizza, and pulled her legs up Indian style. She grinned over at Adelaide, her eyes alight as she balanced the plate in one hand and grabbed the slice, taking a big bite out of it.
She munched happily, seeming to relax a little with her friends.
"I have to go back to work soon," she said between bites, "and I wanted to do a little get together before we all got busy. Just a little bit of time. I probably should have invited WR and Drake, but I thought that might get crowded."

Adelaide raised a brow.
"Did I hear that right? Is my little Shy going out and making friends?!"
She was conflicted, part of her wanted to keep Shiloh to herself, however the other part of her was so proud of the girl for exiting her shell! She couldn't help but smile.

"She really is quite the joy. It is a wonder she didn't make tons of friends sooner."
He'd say, standing in the kitchen as a place to eat, intentionally trying to keep himself there enough to keep Shiloh happy but stay as distant as possible so Adelaide and Shiloh are the focus of the gathering.

Shiloh flushed slightly at Adelaide's comment, and shoved a bite of pizza in her mouth to try to cover it. As DJ complimented her as well, her blush only deepened, but she finished chewing and swallowing before she managed to speak up.
"Honestly... people never really... paid me much attention, before. Even at work. People usually just called me 'Little Orphan Annie,' if they called me anything at all."
She winced slightly at the old nickname. It was obvious it still bothered her.

Dj would watch on and smile sweetly. He would make sure to eat and drink quietly from his perch. This was special, and he was glad to see Adelaide being more open. It is not his place to interject, so he wouldn't.

Shiloh chuckled and stared down at her hands, setting the rest of her slice down in order to grab her coffee.
She seemed to fall into an awkward silence, unsure what to do with so much positivity.

This was the time for Dj to cast an illusion. He was already out of sight in the kitchen, but he would turn invisible now. He was happy for them, and happy to remove himself more and more from the situation.
