Shiloh had invited her friends over for lunch. It was a simple gathering, a small joining of souls... and she simply needed her family around her. Christmas had been a roaring success, but there was still a part of her that the loneliness was beginning to eat away at. It was starting to make her sick to her stomach, and she just... She needed to not be alone. As per usual, Shiloh had gone way overboard. She had bought five different kinds of sodas, made some tea, and had filtered water in the fridge. She spent the entire morning making little finger sandwiches and whatever she could that didn't actively involve cooking or baking. There were bags of chips, and even some popcorn popped. She was bustling around in the kitchen, with an adorable apron on over her typical, more ratty clothes. |

Adelaide would show up and open the door letting herself inside.
"Hey girl!"
She would call out to let Shiloh know she was there.
"I brought some 'Za from our favorite Pizza place!"

Dj would excitedly but slowly make his way in not long after. He had brought a small cake from his favorite bakery.
"Heyyy!" Was all he'd say excitedly as he made his way over to set the cake down and give Shiloh a quick hug.
"How is everyone?"

Shiloh turned around to face her little family as they entered, her eyes alight. Of course they'd bring things to eat. Adelaide, at least, would be very well aware of how bad of a cook she really was.
She hugged DJ with a brilliant smile, then went over to Adelaide. She wrapped an arm around her best friend's shoulder, and gingerly kissed her cheek.
"You guys made it! I'm so glad! I made little finger sandwich things, too. I mostly just wanted to try out this apron, though." She couldn't help but giggle slightly, moving back into the kitchen.

Dj would smile sweetly at the exchange between Shiloh and Adelaide. He was super happy to get to hang out.
Then Adelaide spoke. Oh shit he forgot he was Josie when they met.
"Uhh... I am a drag queen." He'd say rubbing his head with a nervous blush.
"Is that going to be a problem? I promise it doesn't mean I'm any less pretty or my legs are any shorter!" He'd say, trying to deflect with humor. Even giving a kick into a straight split that he held as he watched on.

"An AMAZING drag queen," Shiloh called out from her place in the kitchen. She was searching through the fridge, grabbing drinks for everybody.
For Adelaide, she grabbed her favorite energy drink, which she always had a stash off in the back of the fridge. For herself, a bottle of name brand cold coffee, and for DJ....
"Hmm. DJ, what drink would you like, hon?"

"Aww, thanks love! You know you're a babe!" Dj called back with a giggle.
He would smile to Adelaide. "Does it make you uncomfortable or anything." He'd say sweetly.
"Could I get some of that tea?" He'd smile big, excited to be here but worried about Adelaide being uncomfortable.

Shiloh fetched a barely used glass from her cabinet, and then poured DJ some of the tea she had prepared. She was humming to herself as she got everything ready for her friends, her family. She seemed to be in high spirits.
Well, to be fair, Shiloh usually seemed to be in high spirits.

She glared at DJ when he called her a babe. Her attitude exiting awkward to protective.
"No. Not in the slightest."
She would call out to Shiloh, but kept her eyes dead focused on DJ.
"So, how did you meet DJ here, hun?"

Dj raised an eyebrow to Adelaide, waiting for Shiloh to go back to the fridge before quietly saying "I promise, it's just how I talk. I can cut the vernacular if you like." He would say with a concerned look. He really didn't want to mess anything up.

"Oh, I ran into 'im! Quite literally actually. You know me and my clumsy self." She couldn't help but giggle a bit at the sleight against herself, bringing DJ the tea. She was humming as she took hold of the pizza, bringing it over to her little circular dining table that she so rarely used, and beginning to move things around so the pizza took center stage.
Still humming, she would continue to do this with the cake as well.

She would say with a smile that... wasn't just a smile. Then she would get up and go, grab Shiloh and set her down on the couch sitting RIGHT beside her.
"It looks lovely. Take a break now hun."
