The park was deserted at midnight, the equipment looking almost sinister in the idle glow of the street lights.
A lone figure in a black hood sat on one of the swings, idly pushing herself back and forth with a foot.

After picking what they could only assume to be Rebel out of the valley of shadows before them, WR took a deep breath and walked toward the swing set, hands in pockets. They were dressed in all black, and wore a beanie to cover their distinctive hair. They weren't worried about her as much as they were worried about anyone who might be watching.
Thanks paranoia.
Instead of calling out to her, they decided to walk all the way. Their presence was easily announced by the distant light, as well as their footsteps. They sat in the swing next to her, wrapping their hands around the chains and staring at the darkness below.
"Name's WR."

The girl glanced up at WR with her shockingly blue eyes, and cocked a brow. The scar that traced its way down her cheek was stark against her pale skin, but she seemed confident despite it. "So you're the one that wanted to meet with me. I was expecting someone a little..." She made a motion with one hand, before putting it back on the chain. "Taller? Scarier? Something."

"Right," Was all they would say, in a raspy monotone voice. They did not avert their gaze from the ground.
"I won't take too much of your time. Just want to know more about what I'm getting into."

"Well, start asking questions. That'll be faster than just trying to tell you everything all at once."
Rebel started to swing back and forth, staring up at the night sky. It was in that moment that WR would realize that this girl was... young. She looked like she wasn't old enough to drink, and possibly not even old enough to vote (though that one was debatable).

It wasn't until the swing started squeaking that WR looked over and glanced at Rebel. She looked... young, younger than them, and it took them by surprise. But, as the questions started brewing, they averted their gaze again, and sighed.
"How long have they been around?"

"Three years ago, they started to get a lot of attention. Izzy told me once that they had been around for longer than that, but I don't know the exact amount of time... but I remember it was three years ago, now, that people on the street REALLY started whispering. In three years, they went from some weird group with a dumbass name to the biggest and most powerful gang in the game."
She took a deep breath and sighed, continuing to swing, her hands gripping the chains so hard it almost hurt.

WR just nodded solemnly and kicked their swing into motion, just enough for the chains to emit a light squeak.
"They're targeting me now. Everyone I love is gonna die if I don't play my cards right," They murmured, just barely loud enough for her to hear.
"Eventually me, too. Got any advice?" They added, looking over to her.

Rebel snickered, the sound bitter. She didn't try to deny it.
"The Droogs killed my entire gang, except a few of us," she growled, the sound low in her throat and primal with rage. "They're brutal. That bastard has a team of fucking monsters on his side, and they're vicious. My advice to you is to help us take them the fuck down before they have a chance to do to you and yours what they did to me and mine."

"Right," Was all they would say in response, returning their gaze to the ground and gripping the chains harshly while they sat in thought.
"Izzy gave me a place and time, said I might make friends there before she kills me. Think she's setting me up with someone that'll help take them down?"

She stopped swinging and turned to look at WR, cocking a brow over one brilliant blue eye. She chuckled.
"That crafty bitch," she said, grinning. She nodded. "She finds ways to help us as much as she can, without alerting that bastard. If she seems like she's being cryptic, I'd say trust her."

They nodded thoughtfully. She was the second person telling them to trust her, so they were confident it was the right call. Maybe they didn't have to worry so much, after all, but they would likely keep on edge until all was said and done.
"What's her deal anyway?"

"Izzy's?"
Rebel paused, sighing, and turned her attention back up to the sky, staring at the stars.
"That depends. What do you mean, what's her deal?"

WR shrugged. They thought the question was pretty straightforward, but they opted to specify instead of arguing.
"Pretty sure she's not like the rest of 'em, since you know, she's trying to help us. What's the deal with that?"

"I don't know for sure what he has on her. She was never interested in joining the Droogs before. She used to talk some major shit about them, actually. But, he's got some kind of hold on her that she can't get out from under."
Rebel sighed softly, shrugging. "She wants to take them down just as bad as we do, I'm sure."
