She HATED exercise.
She HATED running.
She HATED leaving her apartment.
Gidget had given herself a goal, however, and she had plenty of reasons to meet it. The sun was just barely kissing the horizon as she finally made it to the cross-streets she had decided well before she began this stupid little jog, and she was hunched over, hands on her knees, coughing. She was trying to not throw up, which was making it difficult to catch her breath.
This was ridiculous.
Standing straight, she leaned against the wall of a building, wiping the sweat off her brow. MAN her legs hurt.

There would be the soft clomping of sneakers coming up behind the girl. It halted a moment hearing the girl gagging and heaving.
“Hey need to breath in slow and deep through your mouth.” A blonde would crouch and hand the girl a small water bottle. “While running its good to try and inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. But in this moment you need to get more oxygen into your system.”

Gidget wiped her mouth with the back of her hand as somebody approached her. Some part of her immediately thought to run... but there was no way she could do that.
Somebody offered a water bottle, and she took it gratefully. Her tiny frame was still heaving with each breath as she took a swallow of the water. At least she wasn't stupid enough to try to chug the entire thing; that would definitely make her sick.
Holding the bottle up against her forehead, she struggled to catch her breath.
"H-h-how do people d-do this shi-it?" She said in between deep, gulping breaths.

“Every day, religiously...” Rhona crouched with a grin. “It’s not something that happens easily over night when one isn’t used to it.”
The short but bulky woman with shoulder length blonde hair was wearing long leggings and sneaks but she wore not but a tank as her top. Her waist was tied a jacket. If anyone knew Rhona seeing her with a jacket at all was a foreign appearance. Still her body was carved muscle and accented with many scars. She’d know.

Gidget finally looked up at Rhona with one eye closed, and her head fell almost immediately, half defeated.
What was with all these cut people?!
"Aaaaargh." She heaved again, and then started to straighten up. "This is ridiculous! Running SUCKS."

“Well you chose maybe the hardest and yet simplest things to do. Cardio no matter how good you are is hard. Something as simple as running can get the best of anyone.” She looked at the girl up and down. Pale, thin, light as a feather... Rhona got the impression she didn’t do this much. “Did you stretch and warm up before you started.”

"Did I what?" She huffed. "What the fuck do you do to warm up? I thought running WAS the warm up."
Gidget took a deep breath, putting her hands on top of her head as she fought to catch her breath.

“Running is warming up before a hard work out, to get your blood going, you aught to stretch to warm up and limber up before a run to relax your muscles and open your lungs.” She kept her bright smile under thick lips as she explained to Gidget about good forms.

"You mean I have to pre-exercise before I exercise?" She groaned noisily, continuing to hold the bottle against her forehead.
"Thats ridiculous!"

“Got to walk before you can run.” Rhona said flat out. “What’s your goal?”

"I want to be able to... keep up with people. I'm fast, but I have... Well, no stamina." And no fighting skills, but she wasn't going to admit that to a stranger, especially in this part of town. Given, it was obvious just looking at the two of them who would win, cyborg or not.
Gidget paused to take another drink of water, her breathing finally starting to settle down.

“At least you are on the right track, cardio is hard but it will get you more stamina. Do you have a pool or do you visit the ocean a lot? Swimming is a gentle cardio, you can strengthen your lungs, and you’ll be able to have less gravity pulling you down. I’ve heard of people taking basketball size boulders and walking on the floor of deeper waters to achieve better endurance. It’s extreme, certainly not suggesting you try it until you are comfortable, but it sounds like fun if you ask me.” She looked in the distance as if envisioning a dream. “Poseidon would praise that kind of strength in his waters.”

Gidget's eyes widened and she stared at the woman for a moment. Was she mad? That was a terrifying idea, tying boulders to any part of your body, for any reason. She gave a fierce shake of her head.
"I don't... really do any of that. I typically just stay in my room and play my video games."

“Oh yeah, I’ve seen some of those. Less interactive than what I’m used to but don’t they have those dancing games? That might be a good start for you too.” She was a little less confident on if she knew what she was talking about but she hoped the girl wouldn’t perceive her as a complete idiot if she was wrong.

Gidget cocked a brow. Dancing games?
"That would require I have some kind of rhythm. Which I don't. Honestly, I just want to... well, do whatever it takes. I need to get stronger, and faster. I need to build my stamina. And defending myself would be pretty fucking nice."
The second she said it, she face-palmed, groaning. The run had really taken more out of her than she thought if she wasn't thinking before she spoke.
