[Adelaide]

"Oh. My. God. You gender really is fucking Male isn't it?"

She shook her head.

"PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN ASS!"

She said through an empty soda can to hit the wall beside DJ's head, hoping to shock him back to reality.

"The reason that I'm saying you are going to do that, is because if you want her to know you're sorry, then you're going to be a fucking man and tell her your damn self, I'm not YOUR messenger bitch to send away with your apology to her. You don't know shit about me so how about you keep your assumptions to the minimal. I'm trying here. That just now was my sense of humor, and it might be shit, but if you and I are going to be family, then ya better get used to it."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Ah... that's my fault, I'm not good with jokes when I'm stressed." he'd say looking down. He did feel bad for missing the joke, but wasn't going to worry when all he could do was take accountability.

"I'm not sure how long you were there, but I did message her before I left. I was under the assumption initially that you were here to beat me up. Then under the assumption you were actually about to force me to go meet with her when I am way too scared about hurting her for that to be healthy."

He'd turn to her again, "In all fairness, my last interaction with you lead to you giving a lot of assumptions and threats. To which my next image of you was enraged and filthy, with a bat covered in a red liquid. In my world that means I'm going to be beaten within an inch of my life."

He'd finally smile again, looking at her and saying "Though, I guess that's a part of getting to know each other. Learning to put the assumptions of our pasts behind."

[Adelaide]

And she was called out just like that... he face would turn a few shades redder and she avoided his gaze.

"Yeah... I ain't perfect. I'm a little hot headed, and mean tempered. Shiloh doesn't ever believe me when I say it though. She just... has a way of getting the better parts of you pull out. I'm sorry for being harsh to you its just... she is someone that I would protect to the very end. Shes special... even if you take my feelings out of the equation she is... I don't even know how to describe it."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"You're just damaged. In your own ways. Like she is, like I am, like everyone is. We all let it out in different ways. It doesn't make you any less of a badass nor any less of a wonderful person." He would smile big, his warmth returning.

"Shiloh is very good at detecting what people are like underneath the flaws, and works to bring that out of those blessed with her presence. She's perceptive and thoughtful like that."

He would stand up and offer his hand to Adelaide, aiming to help her up. "It is admirable your dedication to her. It's one of the many things special about you."

Finally, he'd say "And being a man doesn't mean you didn't spend any less time staring at my legs." with a wink.

[Adelaide]

She would accept his help to stand up and chuckled.

"You may be on to something there."

She would say with a nod, then she would lean closer to his ear.

"And if you ever repeat that statement to anyone, I will become the monster that you thought I was when I showed up tonight!"

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Ah yes, the fearsome species of angry white women. Consider it our secret." He'd say playfully.

"Want me to walk you to your place? I am well aware that you are more physically capable of protecting us than I am, but being able to turn invisible and not deal with it at all is pretty damn nice after a long day."

[Adelaide]

She raised her eyebrow but... relaxed her shoulder and yawned.

"Actually, that sounds nice. Finding your ass took a toll."

She would say nudging him playfully.

[Djoser Aneksi]

His eyes would glow as he chuckled. Nothing seemed to change to Adelaide, she didn't feel different at all.

"We are totally undetectable now." He'd say smiling.

"Not bad mr magic man. How long can you keep it up?"

She would playfully jab.

"As long as I am awake and stable." He'd say with a sly look.

"There is really no strain in maintaining it, but there is a strain in creating it."

"I guess that makes sense."

She would shrug, what did she know.
