WR almost fell off the car as the scream rang in their ears. They jolted their head toward the apartment as they slid off the hood.

"What the hell?" They tilted their head and began walking toward the building, popping the collar of their jacket as they scanned the vicinity. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary...

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would instantly stop. He would quickly turn invisible and start to run around the building, hoping to locate what floor it was coming from. After making it to the top floor, he would try and hone in to find the crying.

He wasn't sure what this was, but he was sure it was something bad.

[Gidget]

Gidget paused her game, cocking an eyebrow. She had no idea who the scream belonged to, and crept carefully to her door, peering out of it without actually entering the hallway.

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain drops from his chinups, walking swiftly out of his room and into the hallway outside his family's apartment.

Once outside, he closes his eyes briefly, trying to sense where the scream is coming from.

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia would catch the pillow, glancing at her door after the scream.

Part of her contemplated leaving it alone...but she'd recently made an agreement about helping these people. So...she gets up and heads out into the hall, listening for any other sounds that could help pinpoint where that was from or where it may be going.

[Dime Price]

Dime dropped everything and left her apartment hands at the ready for anything.

[Avice Locke]

Avice hadn’t left her apartment but she would heighten her senses and see if she could sense anything extra.

Zero Ability: The Jagan is able to release limiters or add limiters on a person they can see or the wielder themselves. Making the person capable of far more powerful attacks, greater durability, or any number of things. This ability adds the Jagan user's energy stat to any target's stat, or lowers that stat by the Jagan user's energy. Minimum 1.

Zero Ability: Inhuman; Not instantaneous, but bruising and minor cuts heal in a matter of hours. Broken and fractured muscle and bone will heal in a day. Takes lots from the body and makes body sleepy and need sustenance. Compensating senses; heightened senses sight hearing, smell, taste, and touch. 50% perception increase.

[Soni Vox]

Soni's face immediately filled with concern. She looked at the front desk person. "What the hell was that?"

Waiting for her response, Soni turned on hear hearing aid and focused. There was thing she learned how to do once, and she hadn't done it in a while, but they had honed it a little more at the academy. It was time to see how well it worked. As she tried to sense out where the scream came from, she searched her surroundings for a vibration signature that matched the direction it originated.

Hearing-Aide: +2 Per; Once activated Soni can hear the heartbeat of her opponent which allows a guaranteed hit on her target with any Sound based ability, however, she damages her own ears with the sound of her attack making her lose her hearing the very next post.

Soni can now see an individual person's vibration signature at almost any distance giving her +10 Per.]

[Julius Kane]

Julius's eyes narrow, in concern but mostly confusion.

Casually opening the door he peaks around in the hallway.

[Fell]

In the hallways, confused people milled about, most seeming to head up the stairs and to the top floor, where the scream had originated. Everybody looked confused. The crying could be heard behind a door leading to one of the empty apartments.

Cain, Avice, and Soni would all feel a rush of raw danger coming through the building in its entirety, originating from the lobby itself. A wave of energy seemed to pass through the building itself, filled with oppressive heat that would beat down and dull most people’s senses.

Smoke began to fill the lobby, billowing and nearly black. It smelled like burning wood and plastic, and began to leak through floorboards and up stairwells, reaching through the floors. It wasn’t quite thick enough to make navigating the hallways difficult, however!

Soni in particular would be overwhelmed by the sounds of nearly two dozen hearts beating almost in sync from somewhere right outside of the lobby doors.

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia heads up with some of the others, pausing in front of the door where the crying could be heard.

"Move away from the door!" she'd demand, sending a powerful punch to bust it open. She didn't have time to check if it was locked or not.

[Cain Rhamos]

No doubt, someone in the lobby was causing this.

Rather than just run down the stairs and get caught in whatever trap was happening, Cain heads back inside towards his room, sprinting as fast as he can to get through few rooms.

Only to leap right out his window, heading for the street below.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would be waiting with the group of worried people. Though it quickly became evident that there was a fire in the building.

He would yell out to to the group, still invisible. "TRY TO STAY CALM! THERE IS A FIRE, WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE! USE THE FIRE ESCAPES, FIND THE EXTINGUISHERS."

He would then start going down as quickly as possible. If fire blocked the way he would make his way to the fire escape on that floor.

[Avice Locke]

Avice would rise and leave her place to find the nearest fire alarm and pull it. There would need to be proper measures including more than one fire escape right?

She would head to the emergency exit on her floor.

Dime started ushering people in their panic to an emergency exit.
