[Drake]

Drake would smell the smoke before he could see it, this was going to suck, but he was at least going to get to Gidget and make sure she was safe. If he could find out who screamed then he would try to help them, but Gidget first!

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would cover her mouth and start coughing as the smoke set in! She started to panic before calming down. First things first, help people get out, and there was chaos, first screaming, then smoke... people where in a panic.

"EVERY ONE! STAY CALM AND EXIT THE BUILDING BE MINDFUL OF YOUR NEIGHBORS AND HELP THOSE WHO ARE STRUGGLING!"

She would call out as she traveled through the group of people leaving helping out anyone that seemed to be having issues with the crowds!

[Gidget]

Gidget was standing in the hallway, looking around. Smoke? Fire? She blinked slowly, trying to figure out what was going on. This didn't make any sense, as far as she was concerned. She moved towards the staircase, trying to find Drake and WR.

[WR Harthe]

WR's eyes widened at the sight of thick smoke dispersing from the building. Fire? Explosion?

"Oh fuck," They growled and clenched their teeth, running up the stairs to the second floor and calling out to all the panicked civilians running around the halls.

"EXIT'S THIS WAY!" They waved people over and guided them out. When the hall was mostly cleared, they ran up another set of stairs, looking for more people to escort, the source of the smoke, or the culprits behind it.

[Julius Kane]

Seeing all the people go upstairs to take care of the chick who screamed was relieving; it meant he didn't have to worry about it.

Then he caught sight of the smoke rising. His heart skipped a beat for a second, but after the initial shock he just sighed in annoyance. Great... Turning around to look at his room, he evaluated what all he needed to get out of there. Thankfully, he hadn't been there long enough to really amass many belongings. So he threw a bag together and started heading downstairs to get out.

Hopefully he could get out before the fire got too bad. And, hopefully, those people heading upstairs for the chick would get her taken care of and out of there quickly.

[Soni Vox]

Soni's heart beat rose exponentially as everything came all at once. The heat, the smoke, the people, the heartbeats...

She was normally not one for a potty mouth but she did curse under her breath, three times in succession. As she quickly, though cautiously, headed outside to see what the heartbeats were, she pulled out her phone. She fumbled with her phone in her shaking hands, attempting to call Lorelai. If she answered she would blurt out to get Haku and head over. Something was about to happen. 

[Fell]

Kaia managed to get the door open with one attack. It splintered and swung in, hanging slightly off the hinges. People immediately began to push by her to try to get into the apartment and find the source of the crying, but were met with… nothing. There was no furniture and no appliances: simply an empty room. The crying was definitely coming from inside, somewhere, but it was difficult to figure out which of the two bedrooms, or the bathroom, it might be originating from. People were mindlessly swarming inside, calling out to the woman.

Cain managed to get through his apartment and out his window with ease…
Only to land in the hallway of the apartments, right outside of his door. Looking through towards the window, he would see it unbroken, everything just as it had been the moment before he attempted to escape. He would be surrounded by people shouting and trying to get either up to the top floor or down to the lobby. They seemed oblivious to him.

The fire had not quite reached the stairs, so DJ would be able to try to coax the mob down to the lobby. People were pushing and shoving, however, cursing at each other as they tried to be the first ones to freedom. A few were listening to his advice and searching for the fire extinguishers, most often kept in little locked boxes along the walls of every floor. However, they all seemed to be missing.

Avice managed to get to the fire alarm, and as she pulled it… Nothing happened!

Drake managed to get to the next floor by sheer willpower.

The crowds seemed to be crowding the staircases, making it difficult for anybody to get down to the hallway. WR’s tiny size allowed for them to push through the crowds and make it up to the second floor, where more people had entered into a mob mentality.

As Soni began to try to head outside, she would see a group of people, dressed in all black hazmat suits, blocking the exit. The two that were closest began to enter the building with large rifles at the ready. They were obviously preventing anyone from leaving. IF she continued to attempt to reach her phone, she would find it dead, despite having charged it.

Slowly but surely, the smoke began to get thicker. It would begin to make it difficult to see, even on the upper floors. [Everyone takes -10% to Perception. Anyone in the lobby takes -15%.]

[Kaia Galanos]

"Sonuva-" she curses to herself as everyone just shoves into her. She follows the flow of people so she can get in herself, annoyed they were so noisy. How are they supposed to pinpoint anything with them not shutting up? Fuckin' amateurs.

With no real clues, Kaia would just shove her way through the people and check the bathroom first. That's always a nice place to cry. Or scream.

[Soni Vox]

Soni stopped and backed up a bit at the sight of the men, and took a look at her phone.

Dead?? What? she thought to herself, presssing on it repeatedly to make sure it wasn't just a glitch. With a frustrated sigh, she shoved it back in her pocket.

Noticing the smoke getting in her eyes, the young woman cast a sound aura around her, in an attempt to better her vision.

"Who are you guys?" Soni demanded at the suited men, cautiously standing at the ready.

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain lands much sooner than he expects, and it makes him pause for a second in confusion.

"...the fuck?"

He looks around, noticing where he is, then frowns. Something was very wrong if he was being sent back inside somehow, and the people weren't reacting to him.

"Fine. I'll take the direct way."

Cain kneels and slams his fist into the ground, looking to just punch right through the floor and bypass the stairs entirely.

Drake would immediately begin looking for Gidget!

Julius attempted to get past people the best he could. He wasn't going to be rude about it, but every gap he saw he quickly filled. Otherwise he'd just patiently, though angrily, wait. He just wanted to get down the stairs and out of here.

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would keep fighting the crowds working to make it as safe as possible for those that couldn't keep up the mayhem.

[Avice Locke]

Avice shoved through panicked people and saw signs on the wall indicating safe measures which pointed to doors with big labels. Heading to the nearest one and shoving it open she would examine the outside.

[Dime Price]

Dime was going to go door to door and make sure everyone was coming out of their rooms and further more of any were unable she’d try and aid them or get them aid.
