[Gidget]

Gidget was standing outside of her room, plastered against the wall to avoid the crowds. She caught sight of Drake and tried to jump up and down so maybe he could see her.

"The hell is going on??"

Dj would run down to the lobby, making sure that the horde coming at least didn't clog up the doorways.

[WR Harthe]

WR eventually gave up trying to guide people to the exits, and instead started shoving them aside in search for... well, something. They were close to igniting to force people to give them room, but due to the circumstances they decided it best not to.

"Gidget? Drake?" They called out, squeezing up another set of stairs.

[Fell]

The door to the bathroom was locked. It was the only door closed in the apartment itself, but it was impossible to tell if the crying was coming from within with the noise that people were making as they searched the room, pushing and shoving each other.

The majority of the mob stood with statuesque stillness in the doorway; only the two leaders approached, and they paused just outside of Soni’s range. They were staring at her through their masks. “Return to your room,” they demanded in unison, their voices almost impossible to identify. They allowed her only a few moments to respond before lifting their guns and pointing them at her, repeating their order in the same monotonous tone. “Return to your room.”

Cain successfully managed to punch his way through the floor! He only managed to get onto the second floor, however. He found himself in another apartment, but this one was eerily empty. There were no knick-knacks or furniture. It was just an empty room. Looking up, however, he’d notice the hole he had just fell through was gone!

Julius found himself near the stairwell, where people were beginning to scream. The smoke was making it almost impossible to see down the stairs themselves, and people couldn’t seem to decide whether to push through or to try a different route. Somebody grabbed onto him in a panic, and fists began to fly as people tried to fight their way towards their chosen direction.

Adelaide was successful in attempting to help people, but she would notice the growing unease in the crowd. People all around her were starting to fight in an attempt to get to wherever they thought was safest! A fist came flying directly at Adelaide, though the assailant was simply a frightened Meta.

As soon as Avice opened the door indicated, she would find herself in another room. It looked exactly like her apartment, and turning around, she would find her door, not the door she had just attempted to go through. She was back where she had started!

Dime would find that most of the doors that were not already open were locked, and nobody would answer no matter how much she knocked.

DJ managed to make it to the lobby! He would see Soni and the strangers in their black hazmat suits, two of whom were pointing rifles at the girl. They were blocking the exit.

WR is able to push and shove their way through an increasingly panicked crowd.

The smoke has filled most of the lobby, making it difficult for anyone on the first floor to breathe! People on the second floor find it more difficult to navigate as the smoke continues to fill the building.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would drop his invisibility from where he was. Yelling out to the 2 blocking the door.

"Hey! We need to clear the way, there is a wave of people coming and clogging up the lobby is going to be dangerous in this smoke!!! Please!!!"

[Drake]

Drake would rush over to Gidget.

"I don't know and I don't get care we're getting out of here. Hold on!"

He would say as he picked up Gidget and started making his way to the roof!

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would whip out her Bat and start bashing at the doors trying to bust them open!

[Avice Locke]

She bared her fangs at her door. They want to shun them for being who they are but use their power against them at their own convenience. Her rage flared quick.

“Lupin...” her companion needed to appear before she lost her shit. “Got any ideas on how we get out of this building? A lot of people are in danger.” Her voice was low and trying to remain calm.

-He can easily help Avice escape any confinement, shackles, or capture. As well as get her into locked places or safes.

*Lupin III will not help if Avice intends to kill people without attempting non-lethal means.

[Cain Rhamos]

That fucking does it.

Cain spins around, noticing the lack of anything in this room. If he was in the hall, he should've fallen into another hallway. This just confirms the screwy nature of whatever was happening.

"Show yourself, whoever you are. I don't fucking like games."

He reaches out with his senses, trying to find the source of whoever's been messing with his escape attempts.

[Kaia Galanos]

Without regard for anyone else, Kaia would try to kick down the bathroom door. If it's the only one that's shut, then it needs to open. Everyone else could have checked the other rooms by now.

[Soni Vox]

Despite her heart racing and blood freezing at the sight of the guns, she swallowed her fear and held her ground. She tried to listen close so she could record one of their voices and use it, but their unity made it too difficult.

"I don't live here idiot. My-" Soni began to cough with her words, breaking up her sentences. "room is out, there!" she'd point behind the mob. "So if- you want me to- return to my room-, let me through!" The mask was helping a tiny bit, but it was definitely getting to her, as evident by her hand covering the mask and her eyes squinting and blinking.

[Julius Kane]

Shouting "Get off me!" Julius shoved the stranger off him.

Screw this.. he thought as he headed back toward the nearest window to see what he could see. Anyone that got in his way was either shoved out of the way or punched if they were looking for it.

[Dime Price]

She pulled closely her hood as things were getting too hard for her. To see she took on the age of an old hag in the process but she looked around to see others struggling to do the same as she and tried to get a clue as to what was happening.

[WR Harthe]

WR finally caught sight of Gidget and Drake, calling out to them through the swarm of people. They were relieved to see that they were both completely unharmed, aside from the mutual shock that was plaguing everyone around them.

"Yo! You guys got a plan?"

Their shoves would become much more aggressive as they trudged their way to their friends.

[Fell]

The two people inside the lobby remained focused on Soni, but the group waiting just outside the lobby doors – the ones actively, bodily blocking the way out – raised their guns in response to DJ’s sudden appearance. They did it in perfect unison, as if moving as one. Their faces were completely obstructed by the tinted face shields they wore as part of their gas masks, not even their eyes visible, but DJ would be quite aware that he had dozens of weapons aimed straight for his head.

Drake and WR both managed to get to Gidget, and the group remained surrounded by people who were panicking as they tried to find a way out. A few returned to their rooms before, suddenly, reappearing in the hallway once more.

Adelaide managed to get the doors open with her bat! However, within every one was the same eerily empty apartment, with no furniture or decorations.

Avice would not see her little Qi sprite. She would be able to hear his voice, but it was muffled and distorted, filled with confusion. He would not appear around her, nor be able to assist her!

Cain would suddenly feel as if someone was seeing into his very soul. A moment later, he would see an oversized pair of eyes staring at him, one an ocean blue and the other a burning red. They would be completely disembodied, and each about the size of a medium dog. They blinked, slowly, and he would hear a pretty, feminine voice purring, right next to his ear. “Ah ah ah… This is too much fun~”

Kaia managed to break the door open, but the moment she stepped through the threshold… She would find herself back out in the hallway, right in front of the door she broke down. However, most of the people had gone inside the apartment, leaving her area of the hall mostly empty.

The two people kept their guns trained on Soni and took a single step, perfectly in sync, towards her. They said nothing, obviously meant to keep the Metas inside the building rather than to hurt them directly.

Julius managed to get to the window, but not without taking a few people down along the way. It was difficult to see through the smoke, but everything looked fairly normal. There was no movement whatsoever: no cars, no people, not even wind.

Dime would notice that the vast majority of the people around her were unfamiliar to her. In fact, they all looked so average, so common, that they were almost like… well, NPC’s in some nameless video game. The more she looked, the more she realized there were only about ten people, but that they were repeated, over and over again, until the hallways were full of bodies.
