Soni couldn't take it anymore. She was so tired, and could hardly breathe. Taking all of her focus, she tried to treat her wounds one last time before passing out completely.

Soul's Song: After spending time with Drake, Soni's learned how to hear the sound and feel the frequency of people's soul's! Due to this she can now create a frequency that is soothing to the soul. Once Soni sings to a person's soul, their body can be healed for 25% of the last attack they received.]

Julius stood back but kept a careful observant eye on the attacks.

[WR Harthe]

WR stood by, staff in one hand and the other held outward in front of anyone who may have been behind them. It took every muscle in their body to stop them from lunging in with the rest of the attackers, but they thought it best to stay back for now. Worst case, they get caught in the crossfire and jeopardize the whole thing.

Plus, they didn't know how big of a threat the brats ACTUALLY posed.

[Dime Price]

Dime would stare at Adelaide for a moment before bringing a skilled hand to pinch a nerve in her neck and bring the girl into a sleep before trying to hoist her over her shoulders and carry off. Hopefully she was unhindered through the rest of the trek up.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would appear and immediately start breathing heavy, observing his surroundings and trying to figure it out.

He noticed the people and quickly a wave of pain rushing through his chest. He had to react quick.

He was going to let his eyes glow as threateningly as possible. He would shakily raise his hand at her brother and let it glow, hopefully distracting her long enough to get hit.

[Fell]

The girl looked as if she were about to say something to Kaia when Cain and Drake both attacked. The piece of the door came flying through at the girl, who braced herself for some kind of impact. She took a deep breath, and Cain would feel pain rip through his frame. It was a crippling sort of agony, enough to take most people’s breath away, as if every muscle in his body was cramping, simultaneously. There was no source of the pain, no wound, and no physical damage done, but the pain was still there, nonetheless. As soon as the wood hit the girl… she turned to smoke, black and pungent. With no one to protect him, Drake managed to get to the boy, and as he swung his scythe, there was a loud, cracking sound. His attack landed, and the boy was severed in half, before turning to smoke, just like his sister.

The roof of the building cracked in half, the fire rising up from the lobby to swallow everyone still in the building or on the rooftop. It burned higher and higher, sucking them all in…

Only to have everybody wake up exactly where they were before the fire started.

Adelaide managed to break through the window, and falling through it, she woke up in the lobby, flat on her back.

WR was in the lobby as well, just inside the doors, lying on their stomach.

DJ was surrounded by his clothes, having somehow sewed the sleeve of his shirt into the sewing machine.

Drake was on his bed, his blankets tossed around him.

Soni was in the lobby, also on her back.

Julius was on the ground of his kitchen, his eggs burnt.

Gidget was in her computer chair, her screen flashing at her.

Avice was on the floor of her apartment, Lupin hovering above her, staring at her as if she were crazy.

Dime was in a pile of clothes, all the ones she had folded wrinkled and tossed around.

Kaia was facedown on the floor of her apartment, her pillow a few feet away from her.

Cain was on the floor of his apartment, sunlight shining through his window.

Every injury that the Metas had sustained was healed, though the pain from the smoke inhalation would continue to affect them (lung pain, 2 threads following), and those that had experienced the more severe pain would feel a soreness (Soni – bullet wound pain, though no wound, 3 threads following ;; Drake – arm pain, no wound, 2 threads following ;; Avice and Soni, severe lung pain and slight disorientation, no wound, 3 threads following). All who had utilized their Qi found themselves exhausted, as if they had strained themselves.

Kaia, lying in her room, would hear a whisper of voices, the twins both speaking to her at once. “Come find us… You have proven yourself worthy. We have things to discuss with you.” She would feel a draw towards the tent city, where the homeless gathered only a couple of blocks away from the apartments.

Cain would hear the little girl speak to him, as if she were still there, just beside him. “That was fun. Come find us.” He would have no direct sense of where they may be, as if this were a continuation of the game they had started during the fire.

Drake, WR, Julius, Gidget, and DJ would all hear the twins voices echoing through the apartment: “Come play with us. Forever and ever and ever…”

Avice, Adelaide, and Soni would hear only cackling laughter that faded away, mocking them.

Dime would see two pairs of eyes as soon as she opened her own, staring at her, seeing her. They seemed to look right through her, before blinking and disappearing altogether.

Kaia would grimace, glancing towards the part of the city she was feeling a pull towards.

Dusting herself off she'd leave her apartment before practically kicking Cain's door down.

"Come on, loser. We have something to do."

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain lies there on the floor, and his hands clench into fists.

"....I'll show you a fucking game..."

He growls, getting to his feet before his door flings open.

"Ah!"

Wait. This is someone he actually knew, even though she makes him glare in response.

"...yeah. We do."

WR – Guardian’s Gloves ; +5 Attack, +4 Defense, When in combat, if WR is attempting to protect another character, they gain a static +15 to Attack for 3 posts. [2 Add-On Slots]


DJ – Blinding Gem Necklace ; +9 Defense, Once per thread, DJ is able to shine a bright light from his necklace and immediately draw the aggro of all NPC enemies. [1 Add-On Slot]


Drake – Bull Rushing Boots ; +5 Speed, +4 Defense, Once per thread, Drake is able to rush through a crowd or group of enemies, bulldozing them aside to get to his target. [1 Add-On Slot]
-Crafting Mat: Blue Blood – Can be utilized to infuse into weapons to add toxic elemental damage with bleed effect (as a secondary resource) or infused into armor to create a shield against illusionary attacks (as a primary resource).


Soni – Memorial Bullet Necklace ; +5 Energy, +4 Speed, Twice per thread, by grabbing ahold of the bullet, Soni is able to resist all piercing damage. [1 Add-On Slot]
-Crafting Mat: Lead Fragment – Can be utilized to infuse into weapons to add a piercing or toxic damage effect (as a secondary resource).


Julius – Followers Boots ; +5 Speed, +4 Defense, Julius is able to choose a single ally that he is able to follow around the entire thread, allowing him to gain 15% of any boosts applied to said ally. [2 Add-On Slots]


Gidget – Grav Boots ; +6 Speed, +3 Energy, The bottom of Gidget’s feet were installed with Grav-Soles, these allow her to prevent being picked up, pushed back, or tripped three times a thread. [1 Add-On Slot]


Avice – Smoker’s Face Mask ; +6 Defense, +3 Energy, Twice a thread, Avice is able to resist any sort of aerosolized negative effects, including but not limited to smoke and gas. [2 Add-On Slot]


Dime – Seer’s Ring ; +9 Perception, Three times a thread, Dime is able to call upon the powers in the ring and see through illusions. [1 Add-On Slot]
-Crafting Mat: Vial of Smoke - Can be utilized to infuse into weapons to either add a fire or toxic elemental damage with burn/bleed effect (as a secondary resource) or can turn the weapon intangible at the whim of the user (as a primary resource).


Adelaide – Glass Crown ; +5 Perception, +4 Attack, Adelaide is able to break her Berserker’s Rage twice per thread. She either gains an additional +5 to Perception so long as she exits combat, or maintains her Berserker stats while in combat. [2 Add-On Slots]


Kaia – Compass Boots ; +5 Perception, +4 Speed, Once per thread, Kaia can be led towards the goal of an event or thread. The direction is generalized and not specific, but will give her an idea of the direction she needs to go. [1 Add-On Slot]
-Legendary Crafting Mat: Jar of Tears – A jar of corrupted spirit water. It’s properties are unknown. (Contact the GM [Fell] when it is utilized!)


Cain – Adrenaline Booster [ADD-ON] ; +3 Defense, +3 Energy ; Once activated, Cain is able to resist any of the pain that he experiences for two posts. He is able to delay the damage dealt to his character until the end of the thread, but will experience the damage at 150% of the applied damage once the fight is over.
-Crafting Mat: Illusionary Wood – Can be utilized to infuse into weapons to cut through illusions or do true damage in illusionary settings (as a primary resource) or create minor illusions (as a secondary resource).

Drake snapped up.

"Those little..."

He'd slam his fist on the wall in an attempt to get Gidget's attention.

"Yo, short stack you alive?"

[Gidget]

Gidget remained curled up in her computer chair, despite hearing Drake calling for her from a floor below. She shoved her hands into her hair and tried to fight the hyperventilating as best she could.

[Adelaide]

Adelaide would shakily stand back up. What the hell just happened.. When she saw Kaia with some guy walking out she would go up to them.

"Hey Kaia! What the fuck was that?!"

[Kaia Galanos]

"Couldn't really tell ya." Kaia would admit, not really stopping her stride.

"Probably gonna find out."

[WR Harthe]

WR grunted as they crawled to their feet, their entire body tensing up as the voices rang in their ears. What the FUCK was that?

[Cain Rhamos]

"We're gonna go fuck 'em up."

Or at least, that was Cain's plan.
