It was strange, the feeling of deja vu that came over Soni. She felt like she could predict the next moment, but she couldn't think in time before the feeling was gone.
"Huh, cool," was all she could think to say. "Well tell you what," she began with a small clap of her hands. "If you don't really know what to work on, let's make it more simple: do you want to work on offense or defense?"

Soni sighed. This kid really wasn't giving her much to work with. He was very go with the flow, not too particular like most of her students. It seemed she was going to have to take the reigns on this one.
With another, more enthusiastic clap of her hands the instructor turned around. "Alright, we'll work on defense then!" she exclaimed, taking a few steps away from the student before facing him again. "Any defensive abilities?"

Soni waited in awkward silence tossing her eyes around as this kid stood in front of her. He wasn't the talkative type. She sighed.
Maybe he's more about action...
"Alright, let's see what it is," she said before suddenly throwing a blast at him.
It wasn't a major one, she was sure not to mimic his frequency. It was really just a heavy gust of wind and jarring sound.

Sonic Blast: A directed blast of dense sound, typically beginning from a single point then growing outward quickly to create a funnel shape, though doesn't grow anymore than the size of your typical torso. 100% Eng in DMG.]

Drake would jump backwards as he summoned forth one of his spiritual guardians! A Bone spirit would manifest in front of him taking the blast and shrugging it off as if it was nothing!
Spirit Warriors: Drake can manipulate soul energy to take the shape of Ancient Warrior's. These Spirit creations can be infused with an element of Drake's choice. This changes the ability set and personality of the Spirit!
Defender: Bone (75% Eng in Def) (155 Def)

Soni threw two more, one towards him and one from behind him, to see if he was on his toes!

Drake would turn around and catch the blast with his arms, which surprisingly didn't hurt as bad as he thought it might. The bone spirit however would charge at Soni!

Soni's brows furrowed as the kid commanded his pet to charge. She was supposed to be testing his defense here, not the other way around.
She dashed out of the way of the beast, and dashed it even more forward by sending a blast behind it. The goal was to use his momentum to carry him into the posts of the pavilion behind her.

The warrior would run into garden the pillars and turned to dust. As Drake ran up to Soni while she was distracted and tripped her!

Soni fell quick but blasted herself back up to her feet. Stumbling back a bit when she landed, Soni looked at him with a suspecting expression. "I suppose it is..."She wasn't sure how much experience this kid had, but he wasn't a regular newbie. Either he had already been trained, or he just had immense talent. Drake would suddenly be covered in a cloud of dust that Soni launched into the air from his feet. As he was distracted, she would dash to the left of him, before running to punch him in the face, covered in a vortex of sound!

Drake would shield his eyes from the sand, but he heard the change in direction. So we're playing that game, yeah? He would stab his finger on one of the spikes on his glove and let the blood soak into them, then he would channel his spiritual energy into a surrounding field of cold and ice that would surround his body like forecfield of cold!

Soni was pushed back the second she encountered his surrounding field, and this time landed on the ground. At this point, she was out of breath and the headache was kicking in. The impact of the cold and the ground didn't help, either.
Lazily she sat up, her wrists wresting on her knees as she watched the icy shield fade away. She then stood to her feet, dusting herself off without breaking eye contact. Her instructor voice disappeared and was replaced with a much colder tone that took over when she spoke, "Who the hell are you?"

Drake got a cocky smile on his face. "I told you, I'm here to take the tour. You the best instructor this place has to offer?" He would crack his neck. "Seems to me you use sound is that right? I think I've figured out how it works... Let me try!" He would say as he rushed towards her to suddenly dodge to the left holding up his hand he would send a blast of sonic energy at her in an attempt to send her flying into the nearby shack that they probably used to put the cleaning supplies for the small pond!
