[Xowie Evil]

The only consistency in Xowie's life was the amount of time she spent outside. She loved her apartment and she loved her neighbors. It was a comfortable ambiance that allowed her peace of mind when she needed it. However, the only thing she loved more than the promise of safety was opportunity, which was something that often went to waste, especially when one spent all of their time cooped up indoors.

And so, as with every day prior, Xowie found herself wandering aimlessly around the streets, armed with a childlike curiosity and the thirst for opportunity. She wore her usual red and black plaid with an added hoodie, which loosely bounced around her body with every movement. She held her head high, her sharp red gaze scanning over the faces of all the passersby, and a wide smile painted on her lips.

She had a good feeling about today. 

[Gidget]

Gidget spent every morning jogging, working on her endurance, and after a few days, she was able to go out twice. She even managed to buy herself some shorts and a couple of athletic tank tops, and a pair of sneakers. She actually looked the part.

She passed by the stranger before stopping to try to catch her breath. She put her hands on her knees and heaved, grinning. She could already tell how much she had grown.

Reading the faces of strangers around her was one of Xowie's many strange habits. There was no malice behind her arguably wicked gaze, in fact, there was a world of wonder. She oftentimes pondered the lives of those around her with just a simple scan of faces. The more she looked, the more she saw, and the more she thought.

So, as the purple blur that had rushed by her suddenly stopped, she couldn't help but look them over with a curious smile, stopping next to them.

"Hello." She bowed, somewhat mimicking the stranger's pose as she pondered their life.

[Gidget]

Gidget jolted up as somebody spoke to her, stumbling back a few steps. If she hadn't managed to catch herself on the wall, she probably would have tripped and landed on her ass.

She looked from side to side, wondering if she was trying to talk to somebody else. When she saw no one, she narrowed her eyes and turned back to the person.

"Uh. Hi?"

[Xowie Evil]

Xowie's eyes followed the stranger while they stumbled back into the wall, her smile fading at the realization that she almost made this poor person fall.

"I didn't mean to frighten you," She muttered, anxiously lacing her fingers together.

"I just noticed how happy you were and wanted to address it," She said shyly, almost defensively.

[Gidget]

"Wanted to address... what, exactly?"

Gidget's entire body remained tense as she stared at this woman. She made no sense to her, and that made her instantly suspicious. She kept one hand on the wall behind her, remaining still as she tried to determine whether or not she should leave.

These days, people didn't just randomly approach her. To be fair, they never really had.

[Xowie Evil]

Xowie stared blankly, her warm smile remaining as she tilted her head. She was obviously confused by the question.

"Your happiness,"

She muttered again, averting her gaze to her twiddling fingers.

"Smiles are rare in this city, I've come to find."

[Gidget]

Gidget shifted awkwardly from foot to foot, still not quite willing to trust this weirdo.

"Uh. Guess you haven't met the right people, then."

[Xowie Evil]

Xowie shook her head at that, her smile fading but her gaze sharp as ever.

"I don't know a lot of people. Do you?"

[Gidget]

Again, she shifted, trying to get a little bit of distance between herself and this strange, obviously unstable individual.

"Uh. I know enough people, I guess..."

[Xowie Evil]

She nodded, again, taking a single step forward, oblivious to the fact that Gidget was trying to escape her.

"You should treasure them. People are special. No two are the same...like art."

[Gidget]

Gidget narrowed her eyes at the insane person in front of her. She had her back up against a wall, and every muscle was tense. This stranger was invading her personal space... and she didn't like it. Not one bit.

"I do treasure my people... What are you even doing out here?"

[Xowie Evil]

Xowie nodding, retracting her step and smiling thoughtfully, her gaze never leaving Gidget's.

"I am looking for an opportunity," She said simply, "There are endless outcomes to every moment in our lives. Isn't that exciting to think about?"

[Gidget]

"No. Not really. I'm good just letting whatever happens, happen."

Gidget gave a shake of her head, finally able to breathe a little bit as the psycho backed away from her. She let her shoulders drop from their tense position, but she remained ready to run, should it come to it.

"What opportunity are you looking for, exactly? Or did you seriously just come out here to be aimless as fuck?"

[Xowie Evil]

Xowie frowned at her response... but she respected it, and gave a shrug of her shoulders.

"To each their own,"

They paused briefly, a finger wandering to her chin while she thought about it. Since she had to think about it, the answer was pretty clear.

"That is sort of the point. You never know what will happen on a beautiful day like this!"

She finally said, grinning enthusiastically.
