Keeping Up (Cillian/Kaia/Daniel)

[Brianna Valdyr]

Brianna brings up an arm, his hit landing on it bas she tried to deflect Daniel's arm to the side and steps closer, following it up with a punch of her own to his face!

[Gunslinger]

Daniel gets drilled right in the face, causing his head to spin to the side.

Then his body.

He spins all the way around, aiming to catch Brianna with an elbow to the side of the head!

[Kaia Galanos]

To keep it interesting, Kaia would let him follow through with his arm lock, partially to see if she could find a way out of it. It was practice after-all, what better time to try something out?

As she leaned forward to relieve some pressure, she'd send a kick backwards aimed at his knee or lower leg. Whichever part she could connect with. If he happened to fall towards her as a result, she'd send her head back to connect with his face.

The kick would indeed get him to lurch forward into her head bash. Though thankfully he head the presence of mind to turn his head so it wouldn't smash right into his nose head on. He'd try to twist her arm in his hand to put more pressure in the lock, bringing his leg forward to try and swipe her leg out from under her to drop her to a knee. He was going for a submission tap out for the first round.

[Brianna Valdyr]

Clever boy. The full body spin surprised her, and though she brought her hands up towards her face, it wasn't fast enough to stop Daniel's second strike. Sparks light up in her vision as it landed, a reminder that this wasn't one of the others they helped in the gym.

She kept her weight planted so she wouldn't step or be knocked back, moving closer to bring herself to a closer range for an upper cut.

[Gunslinger]

Daniel is momentarily surprised by the fact that Brianna is moving even closer, and her uppercut catches him right in the side, causing him to grunt out in pain.

He goes to turn more fully towards her, aiming to kick her right in the side of the knee!

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia was surprised he was still holding on. Most people would let go after that. Since she was still in the arm lock, Kaia would reach back with her other arm, grabbing at the locked arm's wrist and pushing down so he can't keep applying upward pressure against her, and also to fight his grip on the arm in general.

The moment he raised one foot to try and trip her, she rams her body against him to knock HIM off balance.

Maybe he was tougher than her normal sparring partners over the past two years. But he'd been trying to keep in shape and fighting shape. Kaia was quick on her feet though and Cillian would be knocked off balance. His free hand would reach out to try and pull her down with him as he fell back, his leg shifting to wrap around her waist to keep her pinned to him!

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia dead-weights her fall, just so he pays for taking her down with him.

She stares up at the ceiling and kinda laughs.

"Looks like we're past flirting, huh?" she jokes. She's not entirely convinced she can't get out of this, but, she doesn't mind spending a moment of two on figuring out her situation. This was about trying something new rather than brute forcing everything like she usually does.

Or playing dirty.

[Cillian McWolfe]

"Is that your way of asking me to dinner?"

He'd ask with a smirk, letting go of her arm as he wrapped his other leg around her waist, his own arms trying to get her into a chokehold!

[Kaia Galanos]

"Hah. Takes more than that to win a date with me."

She'd raise her free arm to try and keep his from wrapping around her neck, slowly trying to unpin her other one from between them by wiggling side to side.

Just to be cheeky, she'd shake her head, causing a pile of hair to fall right in his face. See how long you can survive THAT.

[Brianna Valdyr]

Brianna gets kicked in the knee! She goes down, drawing her other leg down and out. She pushed up, kicking at Daniel's leg to get some space so she could get back on her feet!

"Nice shot."

[Gunslinger]

Daniel steps back with the kick, catching a glancing blow on his shin but definitely opening up the space Brianna had wanted to make!

"Thanks... you too."

He has to admit.

"I've trained with some special forces, so the fact you're keeping up is impressive."

[Cillian McWolfe]

He snorted. "Not a no then."

He'd squeeze his legs to try and keep her in place, letting her hair cascade over his face. His non grabbed hand would attempt to punch her ribs to get her to loosen up on his own arm!

[Kaia Galanos]

"It's a-ugh!"

Oh yeah, they were fighting. Kaia struggled to keep his arm in her grasp, pushing herself to try and lift up a bit before sending the back of her head for his face again.
