Gidget was, for once, sitting on the couch. Kind of.
She was upside down, with her feet high in the air and her head dangling over the side. Looking at Drake, she waved.
"If you're going to be mean to me, I'll just throw your present away. Dickhole." She snickered, but didn't move from her position. "I got you somethin'."

She shrugged, which almost managed to knock her off the couch.
"Because I was feeling sentimental. Think of it as a very merry unbirthday present or some shit."

He just stared at her in silence for a moment before shrugging.
"I'm gonna consider it late payback for all the shit I've gotten for your apartment."

She pointed to a small box on her desk. It was (horribly) wrapped in bright pink paper and topped with a polka-dot bow. She didn't move from her weird position on the couch to get it for him.
"Be careful. Its fragile."

He raised an eyebrow as he approached it.
"What kinda lame ass prank shit did you pull this time, hmm?"
He said with a chuckle as he began unwrapping his gift.

Just beneath the paper was a layer of duct tape, and beneath that, a box. Inside the box was a bunch of packing peanuts, and something wrapped in bubble wrap. It would take him a while to get through it all, so Gidget decided to give the speech she had practiced for a while. "I'm shitty at things like this... and showing people I actually give a fuck... but I wanted to do something special for the people who do special things for me. Its gay, I know, but... I don't know. It's my way of showing you that I... care." And finally, after peeling back the bubble wrap, Drake would find a glass rose inside. Gidget was practically quivering, hoping he would like it. |

Drake would reveal the flower and gasped audibly. He would walk backwards, away from the gift.

He would start hyperventilating. His eyes wide. If he heard Gidget he wouldn't respond...

Gidget froze in place, her eyes darting between the flower and Drake. She had no idea what was going on, or what had gone wrong.
"Drake?" she said, just a bit louder than she had before. She sat up a little straighter and moved forward, slowly, trying to get between him and the gift. Maybe she could find a way to break him out of whatever trance he was in, if she could make it to where he couldn't see it anymore.

Her voice seemed to snap him out of it this time and he shook his head as tears collected in the corners of his eyes.
"I, I'm fine. Sorry..."
He said as he slowly went back to the flower.
"It's beautiful... thank you."

Gidget stared at him, her eyes wide. She caught sight of the tears and immediately backed off, returning to the couch, where she could curl up a bit.
"Yeah... Sure..." She turned her attention to the flower, trying to figure out why he had reacted. She wanted to ask him why he had tears in his eyes, but for some reason... the words just weren't coming.

He would walk over to the flower and hesitantly touch it. Confirming that it was, in fact, not real. Letting out an upset sigh when he realized that it was just a fake. He knew better than to think it was really her... but still.
"I'm sorry... I was just surprised."
