It might be human but doesn’t look right?”

Gidget nodded. She had a feeling she knew where Rhona was going with this, but she allowed her to go through the process anyway.

Gidget ran for a few moments beside Rhona as she contemplated the implications of what she said. Willing to get to know people? Be around them? Swallow her concerns and just... spend time with people? It was an intimidating thought, but not for the reasons most people would assume. Gidget was used to locking herself away in her room, hiding from the world, and only dealing with people over a screen. It wasn't until recently that she had started to crawl out of her little bat-cave, out into the real world.
But, crawling out of her bat-cave had somehow landed her WR and Drake, and even DJ and Rhona.
"Yeah... yeah, I guess I am?" she said, between deep breaths.

“That’s great...” she paused a bit and squinted her gaze. “Hey can you see it?” She asked Gidget as she noticed the slight sea sent waft her nose and just past the apartment complex with the metas and the ark not to far to the right of the horizon from that was the sea.

Gidget looked up. She was so completely focused on her own thoughts that she had forgotten to pay much attention to her surroundings. She was huffing and puffing, but as she looked up, she caught sight of the ocean. Her eyes widened, and she did not stop in her movements. Looking up at Rhona, a smile lit her face, and her eyes shined with success.
Seeing the ocean so close made her feel, suddenly, like she could do anything. Pushing forward, she began to run just a little bit faster, grinning from ear to ear.

“Final stretch!” Rhona called and started faster after Gidget. She stayed behind her about half a stride but this was her moment and Gidget was going to have it if Rhona had anything to say about it

Gidget was grinning as they made it through the last part of the run. The second her feet hit the sand, she let out a loud whoop, throwing her hands up into the air. The sudden shift in her weight had her stumbling, and she almost fell into the sand, but she didn't seem to mind.
She was laughing, and that simple change did wonders for her: she suddenly looked younger, happier, and definitely a bit more feminine. She turned around, her legs shaking slightly as she bent down to run her fingers in the sand.
"I've never been so fucking happy to see the ocean!"

She slipped to a stop in the sand. “Breathe, the salty air is good for your lungs listen to the waves and let them relax you. If you feel your heartbeat in your ears, fingers, and eyes; you did good.

Gidget whooped and hollered a bit, jumping up and throwing her hands up again. Landing back on her feet, she turned her face up to the sky, closing her eyes and fighting to catch her breath. She hadn't noticed the ache in her muscles until she stopped.
"Fuck, this is amazing! I didn't think I could do it..." She turned to Rhona, opening her eyes again, her chest heaving with effort. She was still grinning. "Th-thanks, man."

“Anytime.” Rhona had enjoyed watching Gidget’s reaction. In a way it had been a while since she had felt that kind of elation on her own. It was hard to do now. But that mattered little when it came to Gidget’s success for the moment.

Gidget turned to look at the ocean as she caught her breath, walking around in little circles. She didn't want to stop completely, because that was when her muscles usually started to cramp up. Finally, she turned back to Rhona with a big grin.
"On our way back, when we get into sprinting distance from the school... I wanna show you something cool. I think its cool, anyway. I'm fucking FAST. Can't last super long yet, but I can sprint like a mother fucker."
Maybe she was bragging a little bit, but she looked so excited, so proud of herself, that it was difficult to fault her.

“Speed is not my strength but I’d be willing to test that out.” Rhona grinned a little cockily. “You feeling okay? If you need take a dip in the salt water it will help blood circulation and further relax your muscles.”

Gidget nodded at Rhona's suggestion, reaching down to pull of her shoes for a moment. She tossed them onto the sand and then walked out into the salt water, hissing in a breath at the cold that flushed against her skin. Letting out a laugh, she waded out until the water came up over her thighs, and she splashed the water with her hands.
She looked back at Rhona, her eyes alight with childlike glee.
"I'm loving this."
