A Good Workout [Open]

[Gidget]

Gidget was on the beach, hoping that the sand would comfort her falls. She already had some bruises forming on her legs, but her arms seemed mostly unscathed despite the work she was putting in. She stood still, adjacent to the water, her violet eyes narrowed in determination. Taking a deep breath, she took a step forward, her arms raised above her head...

and managed to successfully do a cartwheel! She landed with one foot first, then the next, and threw her hands up in joy. Finally! Success! Her first one of the evening! She was grinning from ear to ear as she jumped up, landing a bit wrong on one of her feet. Stumbling, she caught herself, and stood up to her full height once more. 

The baggy clothes she had opted to wear did wonders for her androgyny. She looked like a little boy, young and thin, practicing forbidden gymnastics in the middle of the evening. The sun had already gone down, but she was still out there, working. Getting into position again, she took a deep breath, trying to remember the exact moves she had made in order to repeat them again. Slowly, she put her hands above her head, and braced herself.

An evening walk on the beach was always a nice experience. In these months especially because not too many people were around. Those who were didn't usually speak.

However on his way back, he would make an exception, seeing Gidget out there having a fun time.

He would approach and say, "You seem to be having a good time." With his normal warm demeanor.

[Gidget]

Gidget jumped as DJ spoke, stumbling over her own feet and somehow managing to fall into the sand. She winced slightly, lifting a hand and shaking out her wrist. They were still a bit weak, despite her enhancements, and falling awkwardly still managed to sting.

"Oh. DJ. Yo. Didn't expect anyone else to come out here..." she said, a bit awkwardly, as she remained down in the sand of the beach. "I was just..." Practicing gymnastics? That sounded lame as hell, even to her own ears. She gave a shrug of her shoulders. "Practicing...?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would walk over and offer his hands to pick her up, giving a giggle as he did.

"Sounds awesome, I love gymnastics." He would say. On the contrary, Dj did not find it lame.

"Are you a gymnast?" He would say with a genuinely curious look.

[Gidget]

Gidget reached up and allowed DJ to help her get back to her feet. She shook her arms out and began to dust the sand off her arms and legs.

"Not... exactly. I've never really tried it before, but I've spoken to two different people who have both told me to try to use my size and my flexibility to my advantage. So, I figured... why not?" She looked DJ over a bit, before standing straight once more. "Are you... a gymnast?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would smile at that.

"I am to a degree. I am a dancer, and gymnastics was required for that. Even moreso when I was learning ariel dance and trapeeze." He would say with no change in demeanor. He was not attempting to brag. Just give an honest answer.

[Gidget]

Gidget nodded.

"Could you... tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or right?" she asked, refusing to look DJ in the eye as she asked.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would give a bit of a surprised look, then a smile.

"Of course." He would say with a slight bow, stepping back to properly observe. Hands behind his back.

[Gidget]

Gidget nodded. She stepped back a little bit and turned to face the sand. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to relax. It was difficult to do, with somebody watching her, but she had found that movement was easier when she relaxed her muscles.

Giving a shake of her head, she put her hands above her head once more, and then moved into a cartwheel. It was almost successful, but she landed a bit awkwardly on her second foot, causing her ankle to roll slightly. She stumbled and caught herself, and gave a shake of her head. "Dammit..." she whispered.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would calmly walk over.

"You are doing good, just make sure to put your balance and weight firmly on your first foot until your second foot is planted on the ground."

He would pull one arm from behind his back and do one slowly, trying to show the movements better than he could explain it.

[Gidget]

Gidget's stare while she watched him was intense. She studied every aspect of his movement as he moved through the cartwheel, giving a firm nod.

Taking a deep breath, she tried again, this time keeping her weight on her first foot like he had told her. She was a surprisingly quick learner, waiting to shift her balance until the last moment, when her body weight was mostly settled already.

Holding her hands up above her head again, an almost childlike smile lit her face. It was obvious that her success meant quite a bit to her. "Thats awesome!" She shouted, jumping up and down with glee.

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would nod and give a big smile. "It was, you really did amazing! You really are a quick learner."

Dj would then step back and say "Is there anything else you wanted to learn?"

[Gidget]

"All of it?"

Gidget laughed, giving a shake of her head. She stared down at her feet, kicking at the sand slightly. "I told you. I want to learn to fight. But I'm never going to be as strong as Drake and WR, because that's just not my... body type. So I am trying to learn how to work with ME. And I'm flexible. And fast. And that can be really advantageous. So... I guess gymnastics is the way to go."

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would nod at this.

"Okay, would you like to learn how to dance too? As for gymnastics, I would be glad to help!"

[Gidget]

"D-dance? Um... Sure? That would help me learn my body a little better, right?"

She gave a single nod, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I've never... danced before."
