[Djoser Aneksi]

"Yes it would. It would give you a lot of core skills and build muscles in a way that compliments your natural strengths."

He would say with a beaming smile.

[Gidget]

Gidget glanced away for a moment, thinking. She had no idea if she would be any good at dancing, and what she typically thought of was the stupid ballroom dancing in movies. She wasn't entirely sure how that would help, but DJ seemed to believe in her.

Taking a deep breath, she nodded.

"Alright. I guess I'll learn how to dance."

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj could tell Gidget was doubtful. He didn't understand, so he would attempt to reassure her.

"What could I do to prove the usefulness of this to you?"

He'd ask with big curious eyes.

[Gidget]

Gidget gave a little bit of a shrug.

"How... can dancing be useful? Can you show me?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would contemplate for a moment.

"Name something. I know that might seem like a strange thing to say, but dancing literally helps me with every aspect of my life. Combat, expression, confidence, flexibility, mobility, strength, and everything else honestly."

[Gidget]

"U-uh... Um... Well, flexibility, mobility... combat... confidence might be cool, too? But mostly, I want to figure out the flexibility and mobility, and then I can turn that into combat."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Well, would you like to begin now or later?"

Dj would ask with a curious smile.

[Gidget]

Gidget raised her hands as she shrugged.

"Now works for me. I'm a bit bruised, but I'm not really... tired yet."

[Djoser Aneksi]

"Well, then let's do some stretches."

Dj would say before guiding Gidget through stretches. Startimg easy and getting progressively more difficult until Gidget started showing signs of struggle.

[Gidget]

Gidget followed DJ's movements, watching him for a brief moment before copying the motions herself. Her quick mind made copying the actions easy to her, and she was surprisingly flexible. She moved through the stretches with ease, and even the ones she struggled with, she endured through. She took a deep breath, and her body was surprisingly willing to move how she wanted it to. Her determination helped of course.

A few of the stretches made her wince, but she wasn't willing to let that stop her.

Dj would simply smile and get progressively more advanced, trying to gage how mobile she was already. Eventually building up to a back bend into a one handed hand stand, his legs in a split twisting back and forth in slow movements. Each exercise requiring more and more demanding moves until Gidget reached her limit. Then Dj would know how advanced he could begin with.

[Gidget]

The back bend was difficult for her, mostly because she couldn't figure out how to keep her weight distributed. As soon as she tried to shift her weight, she collapsed, landing a bit hard on her back. She made a face, wiggling her legs to make sure they still worked.

"Ow..."

She was flexible, and her control over her body was remarkable for a computer geek, but her lack of experience ultimately got the best of her. She was a quick learner, but she was not able to intuitively move her body how it needed to be moved for balance. She rubbed her back slightly as she sat up.

"How do you... shift your weight like that?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

He would put his foot down in front of him and stand back up straight.

"That's what you learn when you dance." He'd say with a smile.

"It's about slowly going through the motions over and over and being fully confident with how much everything weighs. You are naturally gifted, and have the potential to be excellent, you just need practice."

He would offer his hands to help her up again.

[Gidget]

Naturally gifted? Potential to be excellent?

Gidget meshed her teeth together to force her emotions back, reaching up to take his offered hand. She had no idea why that simple compliment had affected her so deeply. Her heart was pounding and tears threatened her eyes, but she was bound and determined not to show weakness.

She couldn't remember the last time somebody had said something like that to her, with no prompting or obligation. She took a deep, slightly shaky breath, and "casually" wiped non existent sand off her face.

"So, th-thats what I need to learn. How to shift my weight, and how to... trust my body?" She snickered, but the sound was empty, hollow. She was obviously trying to compensate. "Little cliche, huh?"

[Djoser Aneksi]

Dj would give a disarmingly genuine smile. It was less warm than his normal, but it's like his perfect image dropped.

"You don't have to be defensive with me. I know you probably have a million reasons to have it programmed in you, but there isn't a need for it. You're doing great, we have no bad blood, and I am not going to ever be dishonest. Let's be honest with each other."

He would say kindly, smiling big and bright.
