Kaia tries not to look too grossed out by the offer.
"No thanks. That'd ruin me."
Wait, what were hey doing again?
"So wait, what now? We going in or someone meeting us out here?"

Cain hates smoking. The very thought hurts his lungs, so he shakes his head.
But as long as Kaia was going to move along, he would too.

She snickered and gave a shake of her head, slipping the pack back into her pocket. With that, she turned and pushed open the door to the warehouse.
Inside was a large room, filled with bodies in various stages of illicit activities. There was a thick smoke hanging in the air, but it most definitely did not smell like cigarettes. Dog led the way through the haze without paying any mind to any of the people around her. Across the room was yet another door, and she was heading right towards it.

"Well this isn't sketch at all." she'd say, looking around curiously. So much law breaking.
She keeps her eyes on the door they're approaching, after.

Cain is wary of smoke, since that fire.
But he continues to follow regardless.
"What's this meeting about?"

"Power," Dog said, simply, and gave a shake of her head. She led the way through the smoke-filled room, through the people indulging in whatever activities struck their fancy, and straight to the back door. There, she stopped, turning on her heel like a trained soldier. She looked both of them over and nodded.
"They're inside, waiting for you," she said simply, before leaning back against the wall and pulling out her pack of smokes once more. Once she put one in her mouth, tugging out a lighter, she spoke around it, "Go on in. They're waiting for you."

Kaia heads in first since she's the one they're waiting for. But also because naturally.
Time to see what this is all about.

"Waiting for both?"
Cain asks, even though apparently he's not going to wait for an answer because Kaia's already goddamn walking in.
He follows.
Grumpily.

Dog said nothing as they left her presence, entering into the room. It was a large, square room, with high ceilings. A man in a smart, black business suit sat in what looked to be a simple throne. He had one twin on each of his side, the girl lazing about on the armrest with her arm thrown casually across the back of his throne. The boy stood at his other side, looking paler than he had on the roof, his hands clasped behind his back. At his feet, a bored looking boy sat, a sucker stem sticking out of his mouth. He sat up a little bit straighter as the two walked in, offering them both a nod. "Ah, there you are," the leader said with a brilliant smile, standing from his throne. "Welcome, welcome! I see you brought a friend with you. Probably smart, considering our lovelies here went a little overboard with everything." He smiled, but the kindness, the friendliness, did nothing to mask the waves of energy that rolled off of him, filling the room. He held up his arms and motioned for them to come closer. "Please, take a seat." He waved almost idly towards the other chairs, all replicas of his own throne, that lined the room.

Why does this man have people just crawling all over him.
Kaia would cross her arms and cock a hip.
"No thanks, I'll stand." she'd reply, mostly on guard based on what Drake had been yelling about. That still didn't mean she didn't want to know what's up.
"I'll go first. What was the point of that little game? It sounds like you're recruiting, but, you just pissed people off."

Cain meets the eyes of any who look at him, but his glare is centered on the twins, especially the girl.
He's not happy about this, not one bit. But there's no reason to repeat Kaia's question.

The girl smiled at Cain as soon as he glared at her, wiggling her fingers in greeting.
The leader seemed oblivious to this exchange, sighing softly. He sat back down on his throne. "The twins got a little carried away," he said, to answer Kaia's question. "I asked them to go and see which of you at the Apartment might have the potential to keep up with our group here, but they opted to go a... less direct route." He glanced over at the girl, specifically, who gave a little shrug.

"And what are you looking for in terms of potential?" she'd ask, assuming it was mostly any hint of perception. It would explain why it was all about who could find those two.
There was likely more though.

"Why are you thinking we'd have to keep up with you?"
Cain folds his arms.
"I was under the impression your world didn't have Qi."

The man gave a very slight shake of his head. He motioned towards the twins. "These two in particular are from your world," he said simply, offering a smile. "They were brought here and left on my doorstep, with no explanation, years ago. There are some others with abilities as well. All of the ones who have managed to excel in my company have abilities, to some degree or another. Dog, I'm sure you could tell, has her own set of abilities as well."
He glanced down to the boy that continued to play with the stem of his sucker, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else but here. "We've bene gathering people with Qi, only the most powerful, in hopes of making the best of this world. Of figuring out why we are all here. This world despises Qi users, and they have for years."
