"Just trying to figure out how you relate with him. Why you chose Deimos."

"I've just... felt it, since I was young. When my family first started telling me of the different Gods, and I heard the name Deimos it just... clicked. Like I knew that was the one."
He shrugs.

"And you feel you personify Dread?"
He'd have thought someone aspiring to be such a God would be darker. More grim.

"Dread and terror."
Cain nods.
"The terror that every warrior feels in their heart during battle that pushes them to work harder, if not for themselves, than for those they hope to protect."

"And you think getting to the top of that mountain is going to get you closer to rebuilding the Gods?"

"...yeah. I do."
He nods.
"Most of my elders are dead, there were only a few that I saw personally who were still alive. Since whatever's happened to my Olympus probably happened here too, I figure we should pool our resources."

Mathew slammed a foot on the ground to lift up a slab of stone from the ground hovering in the air. Hopping on to it he'd motion for Deimos to get on as well.

Cain hesitates for a second. After all, he'd probably spent the last five-ten minutes getting shit-talked by this guy.
But he goes to hop on anyway.

Mathew would grab Cain by his shirt or whatever before the rock goes zooming through the air toward the summit of the mountain. Bringing them to the top with broken pillars. Dion's body on the ground with his blood covering the summit, mixed with wine a look of horror permanently frozen on his face. From the top they could see the ruins of the territory. Much if it washed away, bodies splayed and broken. The pyramids covered in strange withering vines and flowers.
It was bleak.
Hopping off of the stone slab Mathew would frown at Dion's body with a shake of his head. It was weird. Twenty years or so into his future and Dion looked the same as his world. The thrones really were something...
"Here we are."
He'd say making his way to plop onto his own throne.

Good lord.
Cain staggers a little with the sudden acceleration, but his mind is quickly occupied by the devastation he's witnessing!
"What..."
No. There was no need to ask that question. He knew exactly what happened, as it'd happened to his Olympus too. He hops off the stone after Mathew, looking at Dionysus' body as well.
"So... he didn't make it, here."

"No. He didn't. He's never been a fighter, so it's not surprising. If you saw the bodies there were a lot of fliers, probably thought it would be safer here and he could do something with access to the throne. He was probably overwhelmed by the things drawn to power or energy levels."
He'd say with a frown, his brows furrowing as his mind cast over the world feeling for pockets of conflict and war. Searching for prayers.

Cain knows full well he doesn't have a throne, so he doesn't bother looking for a seat.
Instead, he goes to kneel down to look at Dionysus, interested to see if it was the flying creatures that was the cause.
...although...
"You haven't seen a giant two headed creature that uses God Rights, have you?"

"No, I killed a giant subterranean worm that was trying to sink part of the city."
He said with a shrug.
Cain would see it looked like Dion's body was almost ripped in half!

That... doesn't tell him either way.
"Well, if you do, watch out. It can tear your powers from you. That's the thing that took my Dionysus' abilities."

"Noted. But more importantly. Why are their two mountains?"
