Dj would approach the door, a feeling of dread and anxiety mixing with the normally good feelings he gets with Shiloh. He took 5 minutes before he would knock, just getting himself out of his apathetic state he uses to respond to stress.
But, eventually he would knock, ready for what was to come.

She didn't know what to do, anymore. Her secrets had hurt so many people, and that thought was destroying her, inside. She had cried until she had no more tears left, and then slowly, she started to piece herself back together. Work helped, though not by much. People continued to ignore her, and for the first time in her life... that hurt.
Originally, she had meant to have drinks prepared, but Shiloh found she simply didn't have the energy. Instead, she had curled up on the couch, staring at nothing, for what felt like an eternity. When she finally heard a knock on the door, she looked up.
No more running away.
She unfolded herself from the spot on the couch and moved over to the door. When she opened it, there was only a faint smile on her face. She looked... tired, to say the least.
"Hey, DJ. Come on in."

Dj would start off with a smile. Then he saw Shiloh, she had been crying. Something was clearly very wrong. He would give a concerned face and give her a hug at the door.
After a moment he would break and speak softly. Just offering a "Hey." He would then walk in and motion for Shiloh to sit, worried for her.
"Can I get you something to drink? It's important to stay hydrated."

Shiloh gave a shake of her head as she made her way back to the same spot she was sitting in before. On her end side table was an untouched cup of coffee, long since gone cold. That was possibly even more concerning than the look on her face, or the way she slumped into herself.
"DJ... I need to tell you something, okay? It... I told Adel... but you need to know too... and I'm sorry for hurting you, but I... I was so scared this was going to come out... and that was..." Shiloh curled in on herself a bit more, pulling her legs up onto the couch. "I'm sorry..."

Dj would notice all the signs, and would give a knowing look to Shiloh. Something was very wrong here.
He would hear her out and just nod here, ready to let her speak before commenting. Whatever was going on here she needed to get it off her chest.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. She could see the look of betrayal in Adelaide's eyes and it sent shocks of fear through her heart. But once she started speaking, it was almost like she couldn't stop. Maybe it was because Adelaide hadn't given her the chance.
"I... I remember my family. I even remember our Territory, before we moved to Zekunft. I remember my parents... My dad, he took the move super well, but Mom... she didn't. She wasn't used to all of this peace and calm. She grew up in war... Dad was so used to hiding, and when he found out I could, too... I got used to nobody paying attention to me. It was easier if I just... flew under the radar. Back home, that was easier, because it didn't take any effort. Not like here... but one day, I... woke up, in front of the orphanage. And I lived there, all the way until... I saw them take a little boy. A little boy like me. I don't know where he went, or if he even came here. He just... really disappeared. Not like me, disappeared, but like... Poof. Gone. And I..."
She swallowed, the tears in her eyes once more.
"I've been so scared of somebody finding out my secret. It's not... easy... living like this. It's not easy when people forget about you when they look away, or when they just talk like you're not even there. The more emotional people get, the easier it is for them to ignore me. I can't help anybody, and I... I won't fight. I won't hurt people. But everyone ignoring me made it easier to keep my secret, to pretend I was... normal..."
She fell silent for a moment, the tears starting to fall. She was shaking slightly. "I didn't... mean for my secret to hurt anybody. Not you, and not Adelaide... not anyone else. I just... I don't know why I kept it to myself. Maybe I thought they'd take me away, like they did that little boy. I don't know. But I lied to you, to all of you, and..."
Her voice cracked, and she buried her face in her knees.
"And I'm sorry..."
