Just a Beach... Right? (Yanmei/Open)

[Qi Yanmei]

“Well. Was your father born that strong or did it take him time to get there?” She’d ask, forgetting about not floating and just sitting while levitating in front of him.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike shook his head.

"No he wasn't born as powerful as he was. His life however was consumed by the desire to be that powerful. He had nothing but combat and life or death survival battles against strong opponents... I just think there is more to life."

He'd put his hands on his hips and grin.

"Like good company, and happiness."

[Qi Yanmei]

She just giggled and nodded.

"I was going to say, it's strange to put that much pressure on someone's offspring when the man in question was not born strong, either."

She'd just shrug it off.

"You, however, are very right. Is that what you're trying to accomplish with your new life, here?"

[Sage Sudeki]

He'd contemplate the question for a few silent moments, unsure.

"This new life feels... Fake. Like it's meant to make me drop my guard to reveal a real ugly plot when I least expect it. I would love to just have good company and happiness with this life, but there are still people from my country who ended up here who look to me for leadership now..."

He'd shrug.

"It's not a huge burden, it's just more weight than I expected. Now I've got some businesses running and everyone is taken care of, so it's less of a worry now."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Leadership in what?" she'd blink.

"Aren't we meant to follow whatever those in power here want? That's why we can't leave, isn't it?"

[Sage Sudeki]

"They want leadership they know. Trusted voice that can tell them when not to act. Instinct makes the lot of them want to fight against the government here and force their way to freedom."

He'd fold his arms.

"That would only cause all the unknowns to spring up. How do they plan to keep super powered people in a city by force? Why do that at all? Besides that the leader of TSI seems easily confident that they are somehow stronger or more capable than us. They have had 8 years to prepare for us. We are playing catch up."

[Qi Yanmei]

"So you're saying you're suspicious and that you want to find out what's going on?" she asks.

[Sage Sudeki]

Grinning wide he'd scratch the back of his head again.

"Yeah, that's the current goal. I just needed a day off, so I came here."

[Qi Yanmei]

She gives an exaggerated sigh.

"You turned out to be not at all what you sounded like."

Well, if he was right, it was probably for the best that someone was looking into it. Not everyone can just accept what's going on and let it be.

"Has it been at all relaxing, at least?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Sage would laugh.

"Well you didn't end up being at all what I expected either, but I like it."

Nodding he would answer.

"Relaxing as it can be, the view is nice."

He'd stare at her.

[Qi Yanmei]

She smirks, tilting her head to the side.

"Quite right. Count yourself lucky, it happens to be a pretty rare one as well."

[Sage Sudeki]

Sage would laugh and put his hands back on his hips.

"Well what about yourself, where do you come from? Not many territories practiced the law of exile."

[Qi Yanmei]

"If I recall it was territory 63." she says, tapping her chin in thought.

"I wouldn't necessarily say I came from there, but, that's where Katsu was born so I suppose it's all the same. They're a lot like here only it was the entire territory rather than a faction of it...the people didn't much like Qi so my birth caused his exile."

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would sigh and shake his head.

"Some places had some really backwards ways of thinking. Just because of some Qi mutations you and your family got exiled... Though I have to say, I'm envious about the levitation thing. Looks like you can do that with no effort at all."

[Qi Yanmei]

"It's very low effort! Of course it helps to have wings...though I've been hiding them for a while now. I'm starting to think that's not my only tell..."

She gives a pout but shrugs.

"But as much as I love talking about me, you should tell me more about you~. What can you do, Sage? You obviously can use a sword or two. What sort of Qi do you have? Be naughty and show me a trick!"
