Mental Information

Personality: Yanmei likes to look pleased and unbothered no matter how she's feeling. You really have to knock her off her game to get that expression to seriously change.

She can be sassy, but mostly she just likes to playfully mess with people. Which may mean she does a ton of lying or "storytelling". She's also a massive flirt, preferring to target those who are uncomfortable with it but just as confident in flirting with just about anyone. She's mostly trying to annoy people for her amusement, but when it's well received it leads to amusement for her regardless. It just means that person can keep up!

In many ways she's either a loud expression of Katsu's more subdued personality, or, his exact opposite.
Recently she's taken to pretending she's human a lot more seriously than in the old world. She hides her wings, tries to float from place to place much less and has adopted a 'human outfit' to blend in. She still looks unusual, especially with those pointed ears, but can manage to go more unnoticed this way.

Mentality: As long as you're nice to Katsu I won't bite.

History Information

History:

Yanmei doesn't have a terribly long history. She didn't exist until Katsu gained his Qi, and when he did, she was born. She easily befriended him despite seeming to project personality traits Katsu was more...subdued in. Unfortunately her birth lead to his exile...something she's felt guilt over for a long time despite Katsu never blaming her.

From there she simply accompanied him through his adventures, their traveling feeding her never-ending curiosity. As a ten-year old being, she was a tad naive, however she was born with most of the knowledge Katsu already had so the world wasn't a terribly huge adjustment. It's just mysterious enough for her to lust for knowledge.

Following the end of their world and a new start disembarking the ark, Yanmei kept hidden within Katsu for a few months as they navigated their new lives. Once she understood the general feelings towards metas, she chose to disguise herself as a human to try and blend in more. It didn't always work as her pointed ears often gave her away, but for the most part she was able to live her 'human' life.

Once per thread the character may focus a single Qi ability through the Crystal for a boost of +8 to effects. Should the user keep feeding Qi uses into the ability in following posts through the crystal the boost will remain. However once the focus is no longer channeled through the crystal (IE a break in concentration, loss of focus, or the Qi flow is halted for any reason), the effect is lost.

"Empty Bottle":

Your character goes to take a drink only to find the bottle is only full of disappointment. In a fit of rage you break bottle and feel like punching something. +5 Atk for 4 post

"Strange Meat(?)" :

Ingesting this unnatural flesh causes a temporary mutation in the consumer reducing their speed by -20 and increasing their attack and defense by +15 each and granting regeneration in sunlight. (Lasts for 1 thread) (Consumable)

"Sith Holocron (Permanent Consumable):" The Sith Holocron is a device created by forcing the natural energy of everything to bend to your will granting you +24 to your energy by focusing your power through it and demanding it give you what is rightfully yours. It also allows you to add your energy stat divided by 3/4 to any GM required roll. Effect lasts for three posts. After which your energy stat is cut by 1/2 and you automatically fail the next GM required roll.

Power

Qi Name: Guardian Angel

Strengths:
When buffing, protecting, or healing Katsu; Mei's power truly flourishes. She's able to buff others as well with diminished effects, which still makes her an asset in teams. She's naturally gifted in Qi abilities, of course, granting her massive potential for learning new abilities. She also cannot die, returning within Katsu to rest when defeated.

Weaknesses:
Qi abilities are where she shines, however if she is specifically targeted without protection, Mei can easily be wiped out. Her strength and defense are quite poor, and her light weight makes her easy to knock around. It takes very little effort to get rid of her when she's on her own, and her abilities offer very few ways for her to protect herself, leaving her at the mercy of others. Her abilities also naturally offer very few ways for her to attack, making her almost purely a buffer.

Zero Ability:

Binding Sphere- Yanmei tosses a sphere of dark energy, dealing her energy +16 in damage and slowing the target by -4.

Level 1:

Slash wave- Yanmei imbues a weapon with power for one use! When the weapon is swung, it launches an energy blade that adds +12 (+14 for Katsu) as bonus damage on top of the users attack damage. Must be using a blade. (UP: 15)

Level 2:

Blessing- Yanmei inhabits a target's weapon and adds +12 to the owner's attack stat for 4 posts. (6 for Katsu) (UP: 20)

Level 3:

Elemental Imbuing- Yanmei imbues a weapon or person with an element, causing their attacks to do +12  in elemental damage of the chosen type. (+14 for Katsu) (UP: 20)

Level 4:

Faerie Circle- Yanmei creates a twenty foot circle of healing energy, healing all those within for 30 points. (UP: 25)

Level 5:

Guardian Shield- Yanmei creates a shield that can block damage up to her energy stat before shattering. If Yanmei blocks for Katsu, she can teleport over to him with the shield. (UP: 15)

Level 6:
Flight of Kings- Yanmei can buff someone's speed by +12 for one post. (+14 for Katsu) (UP: 15)

Level 7:
Link pillar- Yanmei can buff someone's defense by +12 for one post. (+14 for Katsu) (UP: 15)

OTHER Abilities

Can now, once a thread, Shift into their inner selves. This inner self has +10 in all stats for 4 posts (The inner self has the same personality it had when your character met them and must be played as such! For characters that died your inner self now has the lost trait that your character used to have!)

Power of the Longest Night [Qi Mutation]: Through inner reflection and the energy from the Winter Solstice's longest night, they become covered in raw white energy that does the users energy in damage to anyone within melee range (5ft) as long as it's maintained.

Battle Aura: The user is covered in a black flame like aura that enhances STR, and SPD by +8 each.

Switch It Up: When in a thread with Katsu, this character has the ability to swap places with him as needed so long as they can see him.

Helter Skelter, The Willing

Helter can control Yanmei's clothes to redirect projectile attack through one opening and out another in any direction Yanmei wants, up to twice a thread.

Helter can have clothes swallow an attack taking half the damage and causing the clothes to take on the attributes of the element of the attack lowering all damage from that element by 1/2 for the thread.

Helter is able to control any clothing item she is in physical contact with as if it were an extension of herself.
