Just a Beach... Right? (Yanmei/Open)

[Katsu]

Katsu's eyes go wide from the beam, and he freezes for a second, before turning to look at Spike.

"That's... quite the sword..."

He says, laughing almost nervously. He happily trades swords again, but looks almost... giddy, at Spike's suggestion.

"A crystal sword? I would be honored. I... don't have a gift for you, though, unfortunately."

[Qi Yanmei]

"Heyyy. I want something, too." Yanmei puffs her cheeks.

[Sage Sudeki]

Grinning wide he would act surprised and hurt at Yanmei's words.

"Of course I wouldn't forget to make you something as well!"

Then he'd look at Katsu and shake his head.

"I don't have the sword yet, so if you wish to exchange gifts, it can wait until I finish forging your sword. Or you know, I could use help dealing with some of the groups kidnapping and selling children."

[Katsu]

"...who's kidnapping and selling children?"

All smiles are gone, and instead Katsu's eyebrows knit together in anger.

[Qi Yanmei]

Yanmei seems pleased until the mention of kidnapping children.

"Yeah, who!?"

[Sage Sudeki]

"A couple of underground organizations are kidnapping Qi user children and selling them to sources outside the city somehow. fought one of the organizations leaders so far... He was a Qi user, I suspect that was teleported here as a child. I took two businesses from them and move in, with a list of warehouses."

Spike would fold his arms and look down a bit.

"I expanded a lot of energy getting to the boss and wasn't able to bring him down. fear thats only the surface of the issue."

[Katsu]

Katsu frowns. He supposed that even though he expected more from someone from their own world, he had faced enough prejudice in his own territory that it wasn't THAT farfetched.

"What, then, is the true issue?"

[Qi Yanmei]

"What do people even want with Qi user children?" she'd ask, not fully expecting an answer.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike was quiet and calm for a few moments.

"Yanmei has the right of it... There are a few possibilities. Scientific dissection and gene research... But, honestly humans will do what humans do. War."

He'd look at the duo.

"The only real reason I can think of is to take them to raise them as soldiers, weapons for war. They are likely being sold in underground black markets to other countries or warlords. The real issue is they are getting in and out of the city without... Or with TSI knowing. We need to find out how and either take control of it or destroy it."

[Katsu]

That... that was truly interesting.

"Truth be told, I'd rather take control of it."

Katsu can't help it, his wanderlust is strong.

[Qi Yanmei]

"So what's our plan? We're doing something about it right away, right?"

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would grin.

"I will be assaulting a few of their bases with another team. So that we can go all out we wont hold back or preserve energy, but we also wont destroy them completely. Let them scatter and run away. Then another team will pick up the chase, they will run until they decide they need to leave the city. Easiest way will obviously be the way they are using to transport the kids."

He'd close his eyes.

"In a perfect world we stop it there and take control of the way out. However, we must be prepared to destroy it just in case."

There was more to the plan, but that's the part he wanted them involved in.

[Katsu]

"So you want us to stand by to chase those you've attacked?"

Is basically what Katsu is getting from that.

[Qi Yanmei]

"It doesn't seem like we're part of the initial assault." Yanmei nods.

[Sage Sudeki]

Spike would nod.

"I'm hoping to recruit one other to help with that part, but it's more important than the actual assault. If we miss the chance to end them or find where they move the kids to and from, we won't get a second chance."
