"It was...peaceful." Stigma would say, not at all echoing their guesses.
"For the most part. There was no Qi before our appearance, and little violence. Many of the children were placed in an orphanage or academy of sorts and some years later people from a our world...or one like ours appeared. We were treated like prophecized heroes by some and like a plague by others. All the buildings are in tact. There's electricity. And order. The sort that won't let the likes of us leave town."

He was confused slightly, cause he thought if anything the one constant would of been the end of the world.

It was odd, but probably the right move in Lucien's mind. Unpredictable people from another dimension with powers beyond anything the world had seen before. He wondered if this world would of reacted any differently.
"Well, we can cross that bridge later. Let's get home, get a meal, report what we found, and wait for Shana."

Rose holds her baby close, closing her eyes and continuing to be oblivious.
"Okay..."
Stigma would nod at the decision, glancing out the window at the difference in worlds. Sure she was born here...but her memories were mostly of the other place. It was almost shocking to see it this way. Sad, even.

Rose would head inside, happy to be somewhere safe with her kid(s).
"Mom, we should really talk-" Stigma would start, but Rose acted like she didn't hear her, heading off to find a place to sit with Thorn.
It...hurt.
Stigma would watch her mother go, not really looking at anyone for fear she might get emotional if someone gave her any pitiful looks.
"Mom is...rejecting me..."

Elias gets out, then watches the interaction between his family. He bends down, picking Stigma up and putting her on his shoulder.
"She needs to get used to it. It doesn't help that your brother isn't being as mature as you."
He looks at her from the side.
"It's not easy to get used to. For anyone. But you're still our daughter."

Lucien would pat the toddler bodied Stigma on the head and nod with a smile.
"Just smarter than we remember."
Heading off into the kitchen he'd try to put together some food with what was rationed to his house out of the reserves. Mostly canned food and preserved meat like jerky and smoked fish. Meat would soon become a delicacy, so Lucien saw it best to not end up having to fight over it.
"We can rest for a short while, though don't expect to catch a nap or really recuperate at all... Sleeping near the chains does something to you."

Stigma would give a soft smile and a nod, hoping they were right. Her mom had to come back around at SOME point...
Rose would look surprised at the sleeping bit.
"Is it dangerous?"
She'd look down at Thorn, furrowing her brow and moving him around here and there so he wouldn't fall asleep.

Thorn looks up at Rose, then nods.
"I won't sleep."

"It isn't dangerous, just makes restful sleep or really replenishing your strength difficult."
