Having finally traveled allllll the way from Olympus, Elias leads both Rose and Faye through Lightning Country's borders, intent on looking for his father who's supposed to be watching over his children.
And see if he can figure out what's happened since he was stuck trying to hold his realm together.

The chains of the world had wrapped around and the tower in the middle of Lightning Country. The infinite storm usually raining and thundering above seemed to be frozen in the sky by more chains falling to the earth. The usual denizens of Lightning Country were beaten to shit. Wounded, tired, and most looked half dead. One Man would approach Elias and Rose. Elias would recognize him as one of Leon's inner circle of warriors named Aqua. Like a Knight in his court. "Hello there, sorry for the state of things, but it's been pretty constant bullshit around here. If I may ask, what brings you here Lightning Apprentice?" |

That was strange as hell. Elias finds himself staring at the sky for a few moments before looking down at the man who approached.
"It's like this everywhere, I think. Well, other than Dirt."
He's lying, but that's beside the point.
"I'm looking for my father, and my children. Do you know where they are?"

Aqua frowns a bit and nods.
"Everyone of importance was moved away from the Tower and to a sanctuary at the barracks since it was easier to defend and the chains didn't target it."
He would lead the way there, but look back as he spoke.
"But I wont waste your time. Your children are not here and neither is your father. He took a force of soldiers and has been leading suicidal expeditions into the world to find them... All the children in Lightning Country vanished when the Chains sprung up. No one here is younger than fifteen."

"With what very little communication we have had with other places. It's the same story. There are no children left in our world, including yours. Your father has been trying to find them or what happened to them."

"Wh-what is he saying? H-hey....what does he mean?"

He'd watch Rose's reaction a little pained by it himself.
"Around the same time as the chains sprang up. We were moving civilians and families to the barracks and fighting back against the monsters. Then all the children vanished in a plume of light."

He turns to look at Rose.
"Someone stole our children. I'm going to kill them."

Rose brings her shaking hands up to her head, gripping and pulling at her hair. She doesn't really know how else to react, but, the distress is clear.

She just kinda mutters the words under her breath over and over.

"That is basically what your father said. He is scheduled to come back today to resupply and probably get more volunteers."
He isn't prepared or able to really address Rose.
