Kaia would crouch down, holding her head.
"You can't even comprehend my feelings right now! You're given a chance and you defeat the unbeatable monster. You find a powerful weapon. You meet with Ares and the worst thing that happen to you is he scolds you a bit and you lose something you don't even miss."

Cain frowns, listening to her and somewhat... not understanding, but at the same time, it made sense.
He crouches next to Kaia, not touching her.
"Kaia. Think of how many times you've beaten me, compared to how many times I've beaten you. We're mostly even."
She might be winning.
"If I could manage to come back and do all these things, then you could too. Whatever infinite chances you had was probably some illusion shit. Like, think about it. You supposedly couldn't change anything here, but you didn't end up here, you were back in that other world."
He shrugs.
"It was fake. Don't take it seriously."

“Credit for what?! Failing over and over? Being put down at every turn? Getting stomped on when I was already feeling vulnerable? Having to give up completely in order to get out of that nightmare? Seeing a phantom shaped like my father calling me a selfish child and admittedly feeling hurt by it? Giving up completely because that’s all I have? Thinking I had at least one person in the world that understood what I was going through and finding out he left me behind and that were not, in fact, on the same level at all?!”
She finally looks up at him, a mixture of frustration, anger and hopelessness. If anything the only thing she managed to control were the tears forming in her eyes.
“You and I are not the same.”

That hurt sucks all the anger out of Cain, and he frowns bitterly.
"...I didn't leave you behind. Not on purpose. I was thrown through something I had no control over."
That part stuck out to him a lot.
"I guess I underestimated how awful that mental shit was. Whoever did it deserves to get their ass kicked. So... I know it's not something you can just get over, but let me tell you this. No matter what you feel right now, I know you're at least on my level. You're just as good as I am, Kaia. Even if you're feeling like shit right now. Even if you don't believe it. I do."
