A fresh start

[Hibiki]

Hibiki already moved into his me new apartment a few days ago. The town was a diffrent from where he grew up. There was so many people, big buildings, alots of cars, and alot of people where new looking clothes while he was just where some five doller stuff and his straw hat that his mother gave him. While walking down the shopping area, he passed by alot of stores with nice clothes, odd smells coming from some, and alot of places with people eating good looking food. He was winbow shopping at them the most. Sometime drooling over the smell or look of the food.

He just never seen such nice food bad and wanted to try them. But he only had enough for rent and things he would need. Not enough for nice looking food like he sees. With a sigh, he lowered his head as he kept walking. But soon raised his head as this was a new thing for him and he was going to enjoy being in a huge town.

It was 5 O clock Saturday afternoon.

The downtown was bustling with people wanting to buy things, eat things. And on the ocassion steal things.

Even when people were dirty down to the last quarter.

Cody had just finished another strong 5 hours at the local gym working himself out. He was rather tried from doing punches, jump kicks and you name it exercises for 5 straight hours. He grabbed his towel after having a shower and changing out of his gym clothes back into his normal attire.

His white undershirt.

His ripped blue jeans.

And his orange prison shirt that said "Metro City Precinct" on the back.

Of course, this shirt wasn't his. It was his father's after he'd been arrested.

As Cody walked out the door he knew that it was time for major buisness everywhere.

Cody walked through the city streets being pushed and shoved by people and finally made it out of the crowd when suddenly he bumped into someone else. A guy in a straw hat and what looked like a red torn vest.

"Excuse me...Sorry about that.." He sheepishly smiled.

As he walked down the streets, he felt a bump. Turning his head to see who bumped into him. Looking at the guy, he seemed to be a good person and Hibiki just smiled back at the guy. People always bumped into him when he came to town, but he was the first to say excuse me. It was nice to hear as he thought that all big town people were rude about things. Hibiki stuck out his hand for a hand shake.

"No problem. It's so hard to move in this big town. I am Hibiki Kaze, nice to meet you."

Cody felt rather stupid. Naturally, he'd shown his manners but he couldn't help but still feel a little stupid for being less alert. He'd expected a fight to start after bumping into someone so forcefully.

Boy, was he wrong.

"No problem. It's so hard to move in this big town. I am Hibiki Kaze, nice to meet you."

Hm? What's this?

Someone in this town that actually has manners[/B] other than the girls?!

Cody was pleased. He felt like this was a special occasion.

He reached out and grabbed the other male's hand with much enthusiam and shook with great strides.

"Nice to meet you Hibiki, I am Cody Travers!"

He felt good about meeting someone new seeing as he only met one or two people since he'd moved here. Most of them girls.

In fact..

*BANG*

A door slammed outside where they were standing. It was the door to Lao-Chao's Bistro and Wings. A famed resturant for his Meatloaf dish. Standing there was the owner holding a paycheque.

"Hey Cody! You forgot your payslip from last week from helping me repair the place!

Cody held out his hand but in a stop position.

"No thanks bud, I don't need money." He smiled. "But, how about you make one of your famous Meatloaf dishes for me and my buddy huh?"

"Whaddya say, boss?" He turned to Hibiki. "You hungry?"

After the handshake, Hibiki just laughed a bit as he couldn't believe he found someone with life. WHen Cody told Hibiki his name, the door near them open wide and a man stood out. Trying to give a pay check to Cody. When Cody turned it down and wanted the so called Meatloaf. He didn't really know what a meatloaf was but sounded good and the smell from the place was good too. Feeling hungry, he started to drool from the smell and wanted to eat.

With the sound of Cody's friend making free food, how could he turn it down? Hibiki loved food and eating too.

"YAY! LETS EAT!"

He yelled out with both arms in the air and a big anime like smile on his face.

Cody smiled at the young man's exclamation.

"Alrighty, let's go."

He waved him in the back door, past all the cooks and such to the front dining room.

A waiter was already positioned there.

"Ah! Master Cody!..And aquaintence...Table for two?"

"Yes please James."

James the butler led them to a table in the middle of the resturant. It was a big, fancy resturant. Cody was repairing the place from a recent breakin the past few days, The break in was staged by the Mad Gear gang. Cody took his seat at the table.

"Two Coca Cola's?"

"Yes please James."

"Right away."

James left them from the table.

"So, Hibiki. What school you going to? You said you were new."

[Hibiki]

Following Cody to the back, he found himself in the kitchen of the place. He could smell and see all the food they where making. This just made Hibiki's mouth water and couldn't wait to eat. He does enjoy eating anything that smells or looks good. This would be his first time eating in a place like this as he always ate at home or at school. But never in a place like this. As they walked out of the kitchen, he followed Cody to the table where the guy that was leading went off to get coca cola.

There was a happy look at his face as he looked around the place. It felt nice and cool and the chair wasn't half bad. Leaning back, he started to rock back and forth with the back two legs of the chair. He then heard Cody asking him about the school.

"Well my older brother and dad sent me here to go to Public Highschool number 259. Name that is a long name."

Placing the chair back on all fours, he just laughed at the name of the school as he haven't even heard of such a long name for a school.

IC: He shrugged.

Cody wasn't much for long explanations either. He diecided to hang back and take a sip of a his coke.

"I see.." He whispered. He wasn't very fond of people who had fathers. Mostly because his had betrayed him, little he cared about it though because it was in the past.

Time ticked away slowly as people chatted and filled the resturant with a dinner special coming along. He stirred his coke around and he waited for his food.

"So.." His voice rising with questioning. "Do ya like video games?" He asked a little bit as his handcuffs clinked together at his beltside.

Finally, the dinner arrived. Cody smiled in delight as he picked his fork up and delved himself with a polite manner.
