Little Coincidences [Aroma]

[Rafflesia]

Time: 1268 Hours (12:68 pm)

Raff's left arm rose to brush her hair from her face as she took a slow series of steps down the sidewalk, eyes narrowed behind fairly tented lenses. This was her first real time exploring the streets of this side of the continent. She had been on the eastern coast for the majority of her life, but this was where Chimera was located... and they kept her underground for what felt like years. But she was on leave now and thinking about work was strictly against her orders!

Despite her best efforts, however, she still regularly let her mind turn to the incident that left her in the position to take leave. She still had the name from that vial back at her short term residency for the time being and had full intentions to look into it at a later date. Her destination for now, however, was simply a nice walk around Palisade City, the brutalist modern design of the buildings was refreshing in a way compared to the Victorian brickwork of her home out east.

[Aroma]

Time: Uh... I dunno, like... 13:10 or something?

Aroma cracked her neck as she walked through the busy streets, towering over the normal populace comparatively. It was a bit of a nuisance, but it did have some perks at least. Like being able to see over many people's shoulders, reaching the top shelves at the store... You know, smaller stuff like that. It did however, also come with some hang ups. Not being able to see people shorter than you if they're directly in front of you, especially if like her, you haven't even seen your feet from a standing position in a good few years.

It tended to lead to a few accidents, misunderstandings. Messes... Letting out a soft "Ugh."  at the thought of a particular embarrassing time in the past, Aroma continued wandering the streets with little aim, Having finished her daily training earlier. She tended to take walks after a long morning of training, it helped clear the mind of all the pent up aggression and adrenaline. With her hands in her pockets, Aroma suddenly felt... Strange, as if a spark triggered in her mind as she walked passed someone.

She looked... Pale, very pale. Like, if transparency were a skin tone. She would be it. Stopping in her tracks, Aroma frowned. Something seemed off about her...

[Rafflesia]

Nothing was more annoying than a busy crowd, and it didn't help matters that Raffesia was not the extroverted sort for situations like this, doing her best to keep herself and her belongings from others meandering the busy sidewalks as well. The traffic almost made her miss the sign she was looking for, a post office of all things. Pulling herself aside, just barely into the doorway of the otherwise quiet building, it was then she felt eyes on her, taking a moment to glance up at a large women looking down at her, she took a moment and raised a hand.

"Is something the matter?", was all she could get out, checking herself for some sort of wardrobe malfunction or issue otherwise that may be apparent to everyone but herself. However, something did seem peculiar about this one, Raff couldn't quite put her finger on it, but the hunger seemed to subside some when focused on this individual unlike others that she came across, so much so that she didn't have to put effort into keeping it in check.

[Aroma]

Aroma shoved her hands into her pockets as she looked down at the diminutive woman, frowning at her as a natural reaction. Coming off far more intimidating than she intended. God, what a pale woman... Like a sheet of paper, hell, transparency had more colour than her!

"You're not up to anything weird, are you?" Asked Aroma, she didn't think that this girl was outright suspicious. However, she'd be lying if she didn't think she looked out of place. She of all people knew what a look of hunger was, and this one was looking like she was at an all you could eat buffet. Until she walked past her that is.

"What is it, am I not appetising to a cannibal!?" She roared suddenly, stomping her foot down authoritively, and causing the surrounding people to walk around and give them some space, due to the... Strange outburst.

It'd surely have been a lie had Rafflesia asserted a lack of suspicion or curiosity about the mountain or a woman that stood before her, she seemed to elicit a sort of homogony with the monoplegic scientist she stood before. Taking a slow breath Raff would look up at the larger woman, lifting her arm to the barren shoulder opposed it some. "Actually quite the opposite I was looking for some-", she began to speak with her eyes still on her new acquaintance but would shortly be cut off by the outburst of the other. Had she been caught unto or did this woman know something that others shouldn't? Rafflesia had to some to come sort of conclusion on how to answer before she came off as too suspicious.

"That's quite the assumption to make from less than a minute of verbal interaction, don't you think?", she would raise her eyebrow with intent to interrogate best she could manage. But she could not shake the feeling she had from this woman, something about this whole situation felt off and she had to get to the bottom of it.
