A Different Kind of Sekigahara [[Open]]

The mall had been quite busy enough, the holidays creeping up earlier and earlier every year. In fact it was barely the second week of November, and yet every other store was advertising "Black Friday Deals Now!" It was already adding to the chaos as some of the more savvy shoppers darted around.

Unfortunately that wasn't the worst of the confusion. The worst was when a magical circle started forming near the food court. The text appeared as if a layer of dirt was being wiped away from it, as if the circle had been there for ages, before even the mall itself. Then from the magical circle shone a bright blue light.

"ARE YOU READY BOYS?!"

Of course, I was at the center of the light, mounted atop my horse and flanked by my soldiers. They were also mounted a top their horses, all of us dressed of course in the armor and uniform of Oshu soldiers.

"MORI! SHIBATA! You're on Nova duty! Itsuki, Kojuro you've got Aurora! I'm going to get my wife that pressure cooker she wanted."

I grinned as I stared down the long line to the cookingware store, my soldiers already galloping off to the far reaches of the mall to gather the other Christmas Party.

"Let's Party."

As a way to spread the name and safety that The Blades could offer within the city, Sage decided to patrol some of the danger zones for holidays, especially when Qi users could over power the normies living here. He helped some people by directing them to some deals he passed by earlier on his patrol, before making his way to the food court. He heard the store called Tropicana had good smoothies.

Until of course something had to happen. He however was not expecting samurai on horse back?

"The fuck?"

The fuck?

Sage drew his Crystal sword and stepped in front of the horses. The red jagged and obviously cut crystal of his sword would probably be eye catching at least, as he threw his white coat to the side.

"How about we get off the horses and be a bit civilized about this? You can't teleport in and raid a mall on horse back at the very least."

He'd seen some shit the last few years, or even during the War of Attrition as a child, but still some things were just... Odd.

I looked down at the man, my single eye fixed on him with a piercing glance. I was beginning to lose my patience and we had just barely gotten here. I revved the handle bar's on my horse's saddle. I took a deep breath and sighed, my generals stopping short and peering down at the man. I pulled out a note from my back pocket and held it out to the man.

"I have a note from my doctor. You realize I can press charges if you're going to be prejudice against me because of my medical conditions."

It was written on the finest scrolls of the Sengoku era. The brush strokes across it were impeccable, because of course the Date clan only held the finest doctors on retainer. I couldn't help but shake the feeling that this man was a little familiar however.

Sage would stare unamused by his presentation.

"One, I can't read that chicken scratch. Two, this is America, we don't even care about our own medical conditions. Three, do you realize how terrified everyone is right now?"

If Date cared to look around most people were cowering in utter fear, or outright running away.

"Portals have been opening up releasing savage creatures, and agents of the Conqueror, which has caused many death and lots of damage. So forgive me if you seem disingenuous to me."

"They're not terrified, they're just shy because they find themselves in the presence of the Great One-Eyed Dragon of Oshu."

God. Wasn't it obvious? I almost chuckled. Commoners, am I right people? I yawned as he droned on and on about this and that and death and damage. Come on man, it's the holidays. Can't he see he was killing the mood?

"Look man. My wife wants a pressure cooker, my daughter wants whatever that new Pokemon game is and my other kid has a very specific request at Build-A-Bear. Furthermore, I find it rather disingenuous that a mall was built on top of my magic circle. I know this is America, but does this country really have no respect for the people that came before? I placed that circle nearly 700 years ago. You guys couldn't even send a post card before building your monument to capitalism?"

I motioned slyly with one hand for the others to start shopping in the middle of my rant.

Resting his hand on the handle to his Crystal Katana he would wave his free hand to the side and out of nothing would appear Miyamoto Musashi who gave a respectful bow to Spike.

"You caught up?" Spike would ask the full grown Sprite.
"Yes." Was the calm reply.

Spike would draw the Crystal Blade and point it at the man on the horse.

"I'm not that into it, either stop or be stopped. It's that simple."

"...MUSASHI YOU ASSHOLE! AFTER 50 WINS, 49 LOSSES, AND 100 DRAWS HAVE YOU COME TO SETTLE THE SCORE?!"

I shouted, drawing my 6 fangs upon seeing my rival. But it was then that my nose picked up on something. I sheathed my swords again before stepping down from my horse. This qi, the blonde hair. How did I not notice this sooner?

"Hang on... you're a Sudeki aren't you kid? You smell an awful lot like Leon."
