Team 1 was sent in on the Eastern side of the 6 story building. The orders where to take down Hera to preserve the safety of 259. Finding a way in isn't hard considering one of the many power outages of Long Beach had occured and it was already night fall. A full moon would be a great source of light, like a permanent street light, but inside. Dark. They had everything open to them, sneak around avoiding all the other goons and gods int he building, or take them all down along the way. But one thign was for sure, Hera was the main target, if he wasn't taken down this mission would be a failure.
Team 2: Ichimaru, Veyugan Galyant, Zio Hiroshi, Karel Soresu, June, Replacements for lack of activity: Yzal, Woomin.

A fair distance away from the building, Karel gazed at their side of the building... their entrance point was but one. On the ground floor, anyway. He knew that if they were going to do this right, they'd need to be a little resourceful. Although he wasn't usually the type to talk... and damn well felt that he could do it himself, he felt he needed to share some strategy. After all... if you have dead weights in a team, all they'd do was drag the rest of them down. He couldn't have that. So why on earth had he agreed to do this in the first place? It was somewhat simple... you see, a gang comes in and tries to ruin the serenity of his world, it might as well be a big taboo. Just as stupid as bugging him when he's enjoying some coffee. Besides. He needed to stay fit somehow - and what better way than to crack some heads?
"... Our target is Hera. I've no knowledge of how many are in that building, and I'm not the type to exactly underestimate the opposition, so I'll say this. Let's simply assume that they've got thick patrols in there. If we're to do this quickly with the least amount of injuries, we can forget a direct assault. If we sneak up there and by some miracle not get caught... then we'd have to deal with a large number to deal with behind us, so that's out the window.
Fact is, we need to be able to move quickly - gain the initiative, and strike them before they're prepared. I'm guessing all of you should have some experience in a fight, and can at least hold your own... or even act as a decent distraction. That said, I'd say our best chances is if we split ourselves again - this should confuse them. There is... five of us here. If you ask me, we need a good pair to work together in taking down Hera, while the other three draw away the attention of the rest of them."
He spoke with experience. Of course, among those who were to assault this side of the building... this team, at least, Veyugan was the only one to know of the title Karel once held. Hoo boy. Just being together again was sure to bring this into a success. But of these five people that 259 had put together, they were for the most part strangers. Only... Veyugan and Karel had been in the same gang before... and what was more was that they were both, at one point blood thirsty war mongers.
The Hitman and The Future. Perhaps Reign of Blood's trophy figures in those times... they were freak'n role models for the rest of the gang. But now, their skills were once again needed - as his eyes looked up at a window... and an air conditioning unit, as well as more stepping stones to get them on to the fourth floor. Thing is, the entrance would be a little awkward there... making it impossible to sneak in and even worse if they all did so.
"... unless anyone has any objections, I think it best that Veyugan and myself climb up -"
Karel pointed out the root that they could take to make this as short as possible.
"-and take out Hera. I'm assuming she's strong, but I've got plenty confidence in my own ability. But if we're to do it, we can't have a legion of goons on our back, so... I'll ask this of the remaining three of you. Are you willing to give us a distraction and possibly catch up should you succeed?"

If there was any times to feel bad about the misfortunes life puts toward you, now would be the perfect time. She knew two people on the team, and these two people were a duo that she could truly not stand. The other one she recognized from the hallways, she didn't know why though, but something gave her that feeling he had did something that proved to be slightly important. That made her trust him. The other guy, the one talking a lot, he seemed to be attempted to suddenly become the leader of this team, but June didn't care, she just wanted to get this over with. She got the gist of what he was saying in the speech without really putting to much thought into it, all it took was pulling out the main details. Obviously, he wanted her to be a distraction, but with those other two... individuals...
Bringing her pale hand up, she wiped the bangs out of her face, seeing it would be first to answer to his little response. Too bad for the rest of them, she didn't have a long speech to say, but she did have sort of a request to throw in for the situation. You see, she may be a side character, but she was going to be an important one at that.
"That's fine, just give me the signal, and I'll make sure us three will do our job."
Though the words were in a soft spoken voice, due to this being June's natural vocal tone, she had enough expression to show she could do it without screwing up. Would he believe her? Up to him in reality. To simply put though, that meant June was going to take leadership for this little separate group of theirs. Sorry, but the last thing she wanted to do was take advice from one of those two, not that they were bad people, she just hated them.
Now June was different today than most days, it was obvious that she was prepared for this. She had on a black t-shirt and black jeans, she wanted to look a little bit casual to hopefully throw off some of the dumber they might encounter, and she wasn't carrying a doll around like she does some of the other days.
June waited for the conversation to continue, she had pitched into what she was going to say, it was up to the others to give the comments. She was secretly hoping though that there would be some sort of grace blessed upon her by getting away from the two students who she was teamed up with. Still, maybe she could put them to good use this time around, and who knows... maybe they will prove to earn some respect points.

listning to this, he figured whoever wanted to lead could without objection from him, he never was much of a leader and welcomed someone stepping to the plate. he thought about a few things, one was that he knew zio, veyugan and june, and he knew for sure that zio and him where hurt from their fight a little while back, he was sure june could help veyugan and the 'leader' with hera, what could be a better distraction then two badly injured fighters walking around. ichimaru was cofident that he could at least live through the thrashing, but couldnt volenteer zio as well as himself, but he could perpose the idea none the less.
ichimaru piped up and said "well, i've fought this girl here before" pointing to june briefly "and she's at least good enough to put me to shame so bad that i could take years and still get my ass handed to me by her, wouldn't it be better if she came with you and veyugan, while me and zio, as gimpy as we are, make fine decoys while you beat down the queen? the more people up there, the quicker it will be, and if thats the case it means a higher chance of the people stuck with the crappy job of being distractions to make it out just fine" he spoke more now than he probrably had in one sitting to someone from school now then any other time, and that probrably would be true for a long time yet.
he continued " i'm sure june would be able to mop the floor with anyone down here pretty well, but if that would be true wouldnt that mean she'd be better suited accompanying you two instead? i know i'm not nearly as good as you three, and i have no reason to argue where you set me in this plan, but i'm sure i can handle myself, or at least still be breathing, untill the end of this with zio down with me" he thought, he didnt want to speak on zio's behalf but he had to in order to make his point.
ichimaru took a deep breath, waiting to hear what karel may say on this, what veyugan may interupt with, seeing if june would protest his idea or not, and especialy if zio wanted nothing to do with the idea. he hoped he knew zio well enough to assume he'd be up for a challange, even a possible hopeless one. he wouldn't argue his case further if they decided to dismiss it, he would act as he was told and stick behind with june and zio taking out the thugs and goons.
he knew that he had a broken leg, a few more minor injuries and a broken nose while zio had a broken arm and some cracked ribs with other minor injuries, but he figured they could be suitible for the job at hand. his thoughts drifted back to the spar that lead to the injuries and wondered about zios eyes, the once red eyes that where now an empty black, he mainly wondered if his Qi would stack up and help more in the fights to be. another thought was relief, if they all went to fight hera, he was sure that he'd only get in the way, and if not the living daylights would be beaten out of him, so he was in full favor of the current plans ideas, take the stronger ones for the head, and have the less capable ones deal with the rest.

Post by Veyugan ~* on Feb 8, 2007 18:43:03 GMT -8
"So, this is their hideout?"[/color]
Veyugan muttered to himself, surprised that supposéd Gods would have such a tacky hideout. When briefed of the main objective, Veyugan imagined a large, elaborate mansion. What they got is a typical six story building. A scoff came from Veyugan as he moved in with the group from his car, thumbing the hilt of his kris with his thumb. He didn't speak, for he was scanning the building - looking for points of interest. Something he noticed was that there were no lights on within the building, or none that he could see from where they were. Nor were the street lights functioning. Odd. A power outage perhaps?
His attention was brought back to the conversation between the group. Karel had begun a speech - trying to construct a plan in order to take the building, and eliminate their target, Hera. However, she was not the only god that would be inhabiting the building. From the briefing, Veyugan caught a little more than half a dozen names - all Greek mythology Gods. The only two that really intrigued him - the ones that Asiv went on about and seemed the most concerned about - were Hera, and her husband Zeus. It was decided within Veyugan that these two would prove the biggest challenge. As much as he would have liked to fight every one of them, Karel made a good point about sneaking around the opposition, and heading straight for the target.
For the most part, Veyugan was glad to be a part of this team. There was at least one member he could work with perfectly - Karel. Veyugan knew the man, and the man knew him. They had quite a history back at PHS 552, but nothing was worth mentioning right now. This was no time to reminisce on old times. This was a job, and Veyugan had been hired to perform the job with his utmost expertise.
Karel was nearing the end of his speech - breaking up the five of them into two teams. The first - the infiltration team - consisting of himself and Veyugan, and the second consisting of June, Ichimaru, and another by the name of Zio. To Veyugan - it was a perfect match up. The three students from 259 take one route, and the two transfers take another. However, Veyugan didn't speak.
After Karel finished, the other members added their two cents. June agreed with the plan - while Ichimaru offered that June go with Karel and Veyugan. Ichimaru and Zio would be the distraction - letting Veyugan, Karel and June infiltrate the headquarters, and deal with Hera herself. In all seriousness, it didn't matter to Veyugan. He had a job to do, and he would do it regardless of who was with him. It fact, he would have preferred to do the job solo - as that was what he was most comfortable with. However - against almost a dozen Gods - Veyugan might actually need the team to have his back.
As Ichimaru finished his explanation, Veyugan chuckled - averting his attention over toward Karel.
"Well boss?"

The last guy that spoke, Karel could barely understand. Such insights were so... shallow. If he were ever a leader of a squad, God forgive, they'd all be dead. You see the thing is, it isn't a simple equation of having "the more the merrier", it was about power - the balance of power, the management of power, and the use of the said power. June could of been the Queen of Blades for all he cared, but that didn't mean she would be a great help. Simply put, she was someone Karel knew nothing about. Sure, he could mold to be someone's partner easily... but when fighting someone on a high level, perfect harmony was needed. With Veyugen - a practical war buddy, he could achieve that quite easily- but with June... well, he couldn't afford to take that risk.
Besides. There was still more than one "god" in that building, aside from Hera. If they ran into them, they'd be goners. If June was indeed strong as he had mentioned, then make no mistake - they would need her more. But all this was in and over their heads - Karel could care less if they could handle themselves. Heck, whether or not they were still alive after this business was none of his concern. Of course, this... Ichimaru didn't seem to see that. And it's not like any one of them could talk to Karel, either. Not that he was trying to play leader... he just didn't like screw-ups.
But then, it seems that Veyugen... or rather as he came to know, Vague was grabbing his attention once again. He looked, once again at the hideout they were to take. The lack of lighting was... a preferred condition for any assassin. But that said... if the enemy was intentionally doing this, then obviously they had someone or... even all of them could fight in the dark. Contrary to popular belief... this was something hard to do - but for Karel who had fought under worse conditions, this was a good warm up. And of the five collected here, he was the only one who could fight unhindered, if not - better in the dark. But with one word against another, he decided to let June pick herself. Although he did not turn to directly face her, it was obvious who he was speaking to.
"Your decision."
Whichever team she wanted to go with, was now completely up to her. Walking away from their vantage point, he began walking to the building - just next to the Gods' hideout. Vague already knew Karel wasn't one to talk much. If he was ready, he'd probably follow.

'How do I get myself into these things?' thought zio. He gave a sigh and looked at the other 4 members of this group. He recognized the girl known as june. She was someone that made zios skin crawl. Not that she was ugly, it was the fact that she may be psychotic. Never really changing the tone of her voice, making her a bit hard to read. The other he recognized was ichimaru. A sparring partner, and a good friend. The other two zio had never seen. Zios attention finally went back to what one of the unknown member was saying. "If you ask me, we need a good pair to work together in taking down Hera, while the other three draw away the attention of the rest of them." said the member. Zio looked at the area surrounding the building. He closed his eyes and sighed. "I have no problem being a decoy. My arm isn't fully healed. And if this hera is as tough as they make her out to be, I won't stand a chance.' thought zio. He felt a nudge on his arm and noticed ichimaru nodding towards the rest of the group.
"... Unless anyone has any objections, I think it best that Veyugan and myself climb up and take out Hera. I'm assuming she's strong, but I've got plenty confidence in my own ability. But if we're to do it, we can't have a legion of goons on our back, so... I'll ask this of the remaining three of you. Are you willing to give us a distraction and possibly catch up should you succeed?"" said one of the members. 'Ok so that's veyugan' thought zio as he looked towards the silent one. He had no problem being a decoy. But he wasn't so sure if ichimaru could be much help with an injured leg. At least zio could move around, but ichimaru would have to stand his ground. He would be worried for the girl, but she has already proved that she could handle herself. Zio stretched and cracked his neck. Ichimaru was talking to the others about the girl accompanying them to fight hera. Zio didn't care either way. He was just a distraction and nothing more. "Well...You can choose whether to take the girl or not. Personally, I'd feel more comfortable having her with us here as a distraction. I am injured and can take on only so many fighters. And ichimaru here has a broken leg. Granted we can fend for ourselves, but another person here could take some pressure off of us. Anyway...it's up to you. Just give me the signal when to start, and I'll do my job. Just make sure you do yours." said zio.

All June's eyes did was switch from person to person while they talked about where she 'belonged'. She wasn't really that good of a fighter, she didn't even know what they were ranting on about, and for the most part, she just wanted to get this done not caring where she was placed. Even worse, they were expecting her of all people to decide about this, why couldn't they tell she was content with any choice, and even worse, why must they waste time on this? She already said she'd be the distraction, why not just be happy and content with that, and stop pitching in other ideas? June would never know, but she had that feeling in her gut she was going to need to speak again. She hated groups. She took a pause to think of what to say, and then in her soft voice, she chose, little care actually being put into it.
"I'll stick with Ichimaru and Zio."
Yes, she was choosing to pair up with two people she was completely disgusted of, but some grudges had to be put aside to do what they needed to do. She could of went with the others, but June was much more content with people that she actually had relations with. Plus, she had little confidence on them doing their job which could also be classified as suicide.
She wouldn't bother to look at anyone, but she did begin to follow Karel who was on the move. She went slowly, minding her own personal bubble which she didn't like to be popped under many circumstances. The pace was going to be fast enough where she could get herself third in the center for many reasons. One reason would be that she had less effective eye sight than the rest, and another key reason would be to be able to break the two parties up once the signal was given. It was engraved into her mind that she would be needing to act the leader, and there for, she planned on making sure she got what she needed to do and did it quick and efficiently.

OOC: My apologies for my absence. School and my GF kept me away. Anyway, here's my post >.<'
IC: "I'll stick with Ichimaru and Zio." said june. Zio nodded and smiled. "It's decided then." said zio. He noticed Karel and June on the move. "Time to help out." said zio as he bumped ichimarus arm. The young warrior closely followed june. 'Don't do anything unless she does it first.' thought zio. His gaze looked around the area of the building. The space wasn't as big as he was hoping, but he could manage. He wasn't sure who was in the building and how many there were. He was blindly being led into a battle. 'Stupid boy!' thought zio. "You're not a man...you're a mouse...." mumbled zio angrily. He coughed and looked around, hoping no one heard. It was rather dumb to be led into a battle when he didn't know for what cause he fought. Zio shook his head, trying to clear his head. "You're here. Just take it like a man." mumbled zio. His gaze wandered to June ahead of him. Surely he was becoming his uncle. "Not bad." said zio with a smile. Before he could continue gazing, ichimaru bumped him, and he quickly returned to reality. "Damn...gotta keep focused." said zio.

Karel began his move - knowing that Veyugen would probably be close behind. Pushing off a large trash dumpster closed he leapt up on to the lid before jumping on to an overhanging ladder of the building just next to their target. A small run up, and he jumped the short distance - soaring through the air and latching on to the gutter units just outside the first floor. Making sure to avoid the windows, he continued on up before reaching an air-conditioner unit, just on the fourth floor. From here, he couldn't see any further way up save a super jump... and even he wasn't quite capable of that at his current position. He looked below him in search of June's gaze. He waved his hand to signal that they were ready. Now all he needed, was for the second group to make a large enough bang to get the enemy's attention...
OOC: Small. So what?

itching for a fight he figured to forget it and he rushed forward and burst through the doors, he didnt care who would be pissed at him, it would be something minor and would only effect himself, he figured that if he where to do something it would be this moment, if he failed he failed, if he sucseeded, the others would be ashamed, or so ichimaru hoped.

Yzal stood outside where the majority of team 1 had been just a few minutes ago. Now only stood Yzal and Woomin. Coincidentally they had both been late, and both shown up at the same time. Good for them eh? Yzal looked up at the building from top to bottom. From what he had been told, which really wasn't much to begin with, there were gods, they were bad, and now they needed to be taken out. It was as simple as that. The building in which the gods were supposedly in, was said to have multiple henchmen, and gods alike, scattered on each floor. Avoiding most of them was the smartest course of action that both Yzal and Woomin could probably take.
"Okay so lets go over this again kay?" Yzal said to the boy whom he had just met. "We stuff our pockets with rocks, smash in the first and second story windows with some of them while saving the rest, use the fire escape to get to the third floor, and then burst in and make some noise!"
Okay...so he had said avoidance was the best possible method. He still thought it was....just that now, they'd avoid the people on the first and second floors and fight their way up to the sixth where he was told their target was. Hera.
Honestly Yzal would have liked to have gone over the his and Woomin's plan with the original members before anything, but he didn't have that liberty. No point thinking about it now anyway, they had a mission to carry out, and thats what he intended to do. As Yzal walked to the fire escape he picked up various rocks along the way to line his pockets with. He was sure not to overburden himself with them so that he wouldn't be slowed down by having the extra weight.
"Hey man...?" He said as he was picking up the various projectiles. "..coming?"

CRASH!
A window broke open, and in the hands of the one who had let it smash was none other than June holding a crowbar. She found it next to the dumpster. She was careful though, she made sure it only hit against the bottom half of the window to protect the climbers, and to allow herself to actually keep the weapon for later use. It was her job to do the distraction after all, and now that she got it down, she would let the others do their job. She got herself prepared, they would be coming out to check on it soon most likely, and that meant they were going to be swarmed by an unwanted amount of fighters.
OOC: Bah, I just posted to get it in, sorry for being late.

IC:
He wasn't sure if Veyugen had been following... but right now, it didn't matter. The distraction had started and as of yet, he was waiting to make his entrance. Taking caution not to call attention, he peered through the window with the rest of his body hidden.... sure enough all the small fry seemed to be rushing down the stairs to meet their team's diversion. When they were all gone, he covered his head - diving through the wind, breaking the glass and then rolling in. Broken pieces of transparency somehow getting into his external pockets. So, who was the god for this floor?

((OoC: This has to do with Karel.))
There he was. the god responsable for kidnapping Mitsuki. Well mostly as he didn't bother with caring for her well being. The armor all over his body was alittle dulled from the latest fighting, and Hapheastus was dead and unable to repair it. Something Poseidon missed was the benifits of having that little geniouse around. But he was gone, and Poseidon laughed about it. Fool got himself killed by mortal children. Must not of been as smart as they thought. Blue hair alittle longer than shoulder length pulled back, dull blue eyes scanned as wouldn't you know it, someone came through the window. Poseidon had sent the little henchman who seemed to worship the gods as all mortals should.
No words would be made, as Poseidon knew this fool was a mortal and didn't diserve any sort of talk from a higher being.
