My friend just pointed out that with 100 this doesn't really work... You still make more with the million...

More like until 2737 years and 310.75 (round up to 311) days have passed...
2737.8507871321013004791238877481 (approx. 2737 y 310.75 d) X 365.25 (a year in days, including leap year factor) = $1,000,000.25 (decimal is due to factoring in leap years. round to the nearest dollar)
