Question on Mature threads

I don't really mind the mature threads... but the rape got out of hand.

Excessive violence really isn't a problem in a fight based board, and I've seen that crap pulled off everywhere without needing a 'mature' there. As for sex, that can easily be taken to PMs, and I personally find it to give more privacy. Besides, by what I have been seeing, this has been becoming a sex based board more than a fight based board.

I say take it out, but I could really care less either way, I don't read the threads cause I find them to be pointless, I am just thinking of what might be best for the board.

and as such is the reason I want to take them out, but as I see it, everyone is voting for the sex to stay. Almost sad really. Probably one of the few big mistakes I wont be able to change.

There is such thing as compromise if people are feeling uncomfotrable, but they have to remember, people have the choice whether or not they want to click the link and read it. That's their own doing and not the fault of anyone involved in a mature thread. As of right now, the ones that are up are pretty relevant to each character's storyline development from what I can see.

But you're the admin, John, you can make the decision to take them out or let them stay, and I doubt anyone's going to get too overly upset about it either way, or at least they shouldn't like the way some conversations have been (except maybe karel XD)

Edit: If anything, you could probably put a curb on it, since most of the people here seem to be under the age of 17. That's a factor to keep in mind.

Why do you'll want to cyber in public so much when you can easily do it through PMs? It doesn't make you cool if you cyber in front of the world, and once again, I stress this is a Xin board, not real life. Of course, maybe I just failed to see the sex in every single Xin session.

EDIT: And trust me... I don't read it. I just find it a shame people cyber instead of actually do some board wide development around here now.

It's not about the posts. I doubt anyone RPs here just to see a number go up. And again, who cares what we RP about? If your concern is it's becoming the only focus, say that. In addition, I've already addressed that, and so has Asiv. Personally I'm in three other threads. So the moral of the story is, RP 'bout other things, people. Not that hard to say. -_-

If that is the case, I once agree bring up, do it in PMs.

That way, the people who don't want it public are happy, and you guys can still do whatever the hell you want, it just isn't public.

You have only proved my point that we don't need it to be IC, you can easily censor the sex, put it through PMs, and then go back to RPing after it is done. I've done this before myself, so there for, I know that it doesn't take anything away from the meaning.

Unless of course you have to RP having sex publicly, and there for continue to want it.

I'm completely against it being public, proboards was meant for thirteen year olds up, and I don't care if it has "mature" around it, go to an adult fan fiction site if you want people to read your sexual fantasies. Oh, and I know they "don't have to read it", but there are some teenagers who are curious and read it anyways. You have to remember, we live in a crazy world, and I still believe that PMs it he best solution toward this.

@chi: I would take it out without you guys' input, but thats not how I want to run this board, I want every decision made, made with the help of the players, I dont want to run things like I am the almighty force, I want everyone to have equil say in everything.
