justin talked about you on the phone XD
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
said you two came up with a quest?
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
but he wont tell me what it is
Shikamaru says:
XD
Shikamaru says:
... Well, if everyone's down for it, I'll let him be in charge of the next quest.
Shikamaru says:
And, I didn't help him. All the credit goes to him.
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
sweet
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
player led quests might be cool!
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
theyd have to be approved first, like he talked to you about it so someone just sitn like "OMG ICECREAM SHOPPE QUEST!"
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
or something
Shikamaru says:
XD
Shikamaru says:
Question:
Shikamaru says:
Are we the ones who dole out the EXP then?
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
Id think so
Shikamaru says:
..This could be a potentially great system.
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
players make the quests, everyone participates, staff doles out exp at the end
Shikamaru says:
Exactly.
Shikamaru says:
You wanna post that up, or me?
=Kaleidoscope!Eyess;= says:
Sure I will.

Okay, so the thought is...because we want to have more player input on this board, and encourage ideas, do you think that quests should be player created? It would follow as thus:
-Player has an idea
-Player discusses/fine tunes idea with a staff member
-Player posts up Quest
-Staff doles out exp at the end.
I know y'all are going to say "BUT THERE IS NO STAFF!" and I'm not about to get into that right now, but that's to make sure that a quest idea is valid and in fact interesting but not ridiculous. For example, a quest to get drunk and have a rave party, or just race down the street and beat down people, or going to the ice cream store and omg!picking out an ice cream flavor are not good quest ideas.
The reason staff would be in charge of dolin gout exp (which could also be discussed with creator!player is to keep order over exp. Doling out 23897278 exp points for a quest is ridiculous, and it needs to be equal to all players participation. So yeah.
What do you think?
