SO after being in school for 21 months and 3 weeks straight, getting my AAS in Graphic Design, job hunting, the death of my grandfather, job hunting, my Honey's visit, my grandmothers visit, job hunting, my countless posts, sigs, boards, studying, writing, designing, job hunting, cleaning, cooking, looking for a place to live, job hunting, request, classes, annoying gurus, stress that causes people to feint on stairs, breakdowns, pure terror of loss, and as always a whole OMFG load of IMrp (which I'm always game for ^^ )
I'M TAKING A VACATION! but I'll still be around.
I'm flying from Oregon to Arkansas tomorrow at 10:05 am. After a 6 hour plane ride, I get to sit in a car for 3 hours, just to get to my grandmother's new place in Arkansas, which is currently inhabited by my aunt (Carmen ), my uncle (Richard) and their two sons- under the age of 16. Jacob, 16, baseball catcher who's already been scouted. Auric, 10, baseball player on the rise.
I get to spend time with about....10 people over the age of 70. Not complaining- I love the elderly. It's just, their idea of fun- is way different than mine- OH! And I have to share a queen sized bed with my snoring grandmother who clings to you in her sleep. Yes. Clings. And. Snores. I'm boned for sleep. I hope there's a nice couch.
Then after two weeks in Arkansas (provided I'm not killed by a rattlesnake or bitten by a coyote), we're going to drive for 10 hours to Alabama to the house my grandfather died in. For the last time, I will get to see this house, before my grandmother sells it for a lump sum to some lucky military family. I get to see my uncle (Travis) and my aunt (Carol ), who're both using meth, stealing, but good people in the end- which is why no one confronts them. Their two sons, both under 14. Tyler, 14, ladies man. Kai, 9, heartbreaker in the making.
I get to meet my new cousin Jesse, she'll be almost 3. (Side note: My name is Jessica, her's is Jesse- >_< ) And I get to see Gavin, 13, and about 100 pounds overweight with a history of Diabetes. My aunt, Desiree, the woman everyone says I look like- she has a laugh that could break any bad mood. And my semi new Uncle Ross, who's funny and a philosopher- who takes everything a little too seriously at times.
OH! And my biological mom, Kriste! And the newish dad, Kirk. Latest news on Kriste: she may die in two years from some rare heart disease that is fightable but not cureable and she was recently bitten on the face by a hobo spider so the poison ate her cheek and *POOF* now she has a hole in her cheek.
Anyways.
Then to Florida! A wonderful 2 hour drive, to stay in a hotel for oh....a week or so. So I can visit my half brother, Jackson, (as my biological mother's been married...5 times counting the marriage to my biological father ) who's in 4th grade (god I'm old- I remember when I had to change his diapers >_< ).
I get to see his father (Tracy), and his step-mother (Bethany )- both of which are good, hardworking people. I don't really have much to say about them...mostly because Bethany used to be our next door neighbor. (get the point? )
So you asking the bad parts?
Since the death of my grandfather: My Grandmother and my Aunt Carol and Uncle Travis has been disowned by my mother, who has been disowned my Uncle Richard and Aunt Carmen.
And- my mother isn't allowed to see Jackson without a representative of the court but want to get pictures done, but since my grandmother is the only one who can do the driving- it's going to start a HUGE fight.
Annnnnnnnnnnd yeah- I'm going to get pulled into the middle of all of this crap. Be told I should go back to school because no one seems to understand the value of real world experience. I could be GOD OF THE UNIVERSE, THE QUEEN OF GRAPHIC DESIGN, but without experience- I couldn't get a job in any lifetime.
OKAY SO ANYWAYS!
THEN!
We drive from Florida to Arkansas! YAY!!
So!
In the end, if you bothered to read. I'll be enjoying a big bundle of stress and activity with my mothers side of the family. WHICH MEANS: low posting rate provided anyone even has internet service out there in the middle of Podunk, Nowhere.
Oh! So! Um! I'll be on all day today to make arrangements for stuff- I only have a few errands to run and a little more packing to do so I'll be around. Feh.
I hate flying >_< . At least it's a shorter flight than my one to Georgia. 10 hours in a plane is too much- bleh, especially when you can't do anything but stare into lala land- but now I have a DS...and I have HP7 to read... I heard about all the spoilers, luckily no one told me how any of it happened so maybe it'll still rock out loud.
Plus I have my MP3 player..ehe, I hope the people near me like death metal and honky tonk that or the scribbling of notes...I bet going out there will make me feel inspired. Because for a while now, my batteries have been on 2% and blinking dangerously towards 0%. A little dramatic I suppose but I think I need this vacation for recoup- maybe being in the middle of nowhere, where I can wander and climb whatever (I love climbing- give me a rocky cliff side any day and I'll try to scale it without equipment. )- and maybe I'll have the refreshed view of life I've been seeking.
Anywho. That's my announcement/ view into my life.
