The first of smiles since she'd stepped through the door graced the girl's face. See? Not all therapy had to be in medicine form. Sometimes all people needed was to be talked to. She stood back up when he did, silently praising as the blood flow returned to her legs. She stretched them a bit, turning her small frame so she was looking at the wall when he went to change. Sure, he was behind a curtain, but it was only polite. She glanced at the door, the nurse was passing by and gave the girl a dirty look, narrowing her eyes and frowning. Chihiro merely smirked and gave her a wink. It was like defying authority, this woman, it felt good.
She turned back to face him, her black curtain of hair floating over her shoudlers with the movement. Her eyes were bright and her mood was considerably more lighter.
"So, where too?"

That was a good question. Saint hadn’t thought up exactly what to do yet, but perhaps something would come to him. After a short few moments, he felt his stomach twist and gargle. Not surprising since Saint had been out of it for the past few days, and unable to eat any actual food, IVs only did so much. With a small chuckle Saint scratched the back of his head in slight embarrassment. It was quite amazing how quickly he could forget, for at least a short time, things he didn’t want to remember. Sad, though, that it was a talent developed by a traumatic childhood that no one would want to remember, unless they didn’t know what it was they didn’t remember. Which was Saint, he wanted to remember, only because he was unsure of what he didn’t remember. Confusing. But simply Saint was hungry.
“Um… can we get something to eat? Then maybe… the beach or something.”
With the nurse gone for the most part, as long as he wasn’t identified as a patient it would be easier than Saint thought to leave. Once outside they could catch a bus or taxi to wherever they wanted. That was the great thing about urban areas, mass transit made it every easy to get for point A to point B without actually having to do the work, like driving. Having made his suggestion, Saint decided to let the girl lead the way out, but first thing first. Introductions had to be made!
“By the way… I’m Zachariah Rose, but everyone calls me Saint… so… uh… who do I owe not being locked away to?”

Chi clutched her empty stomach when the boy mentioned food. She'd gotten to the hospital fairly early this morning, and hadn't even managed to grab anything on her way out.
"Food sounds great. We can stop somewhere on our way to the beach and eat there."
She was happy he'd mentioned the beach, it was her favorite place to be. So peaceful, it was bound to make him feel bette rin no time. Not to mention something to eat, everyone knew that food was a natural comfort, and by the way his stomach was growling, it seemed he hadn't had that comfort in a while. Another smile lit her face as he introduced himself. She was wondering when she was going to learn his name, but she was patient, all in due time. Zachariah, that was a nice name. Unique, classic. A small musical laugh escaped the girl at the way Zachariah inquired of her name.
"My name is Chihiro Amuri, but everyone calls me Chi. You can address me by either you prefer."

((OoC: Time to hit the hay. I'll pop another thread up later today or something. Yay past midnight!))
“Chi… I like it. It’s short and sweet.”
Like you… that is what Saint wanted to add but there was no way the boy had enough courage at this point to say such a thing, so he left it at that. So they had decided on a plan, first to get something to eat and then they would be off to the beach. It had never crossed Saint’s mind to notify his mother that he was leaving, but he had his cell so she could always call. Having been lying down and a ball for the pat couple days, Saint took a moment to stretch before he gestured toward the door with his arms. He was motioning for Chi to lead the way as he had intended.
“Ladies first.”

Another smile. This boy seemed to be transforming right in front of her. When she'd first walked in, he was a complete meltdown, and now he was complimenting her and offering courtesies.
"Why, thank you.."
She offered in reply to both the compliment and the 'ladies first' comment. She stepped out of the doorway to the room, glancing down the hallway for any sign of the needle nurse. If she saw them exitting, she would be bound to know something was up. Luckily the woman with the overzealous syringe had just turned the corner down another hallway, her blonde bob of a hairdo retreating after her. She glanced back at Zachariah, beckoning him forward.
"Coast is clear. Let's get something to eat."
She winked, heading down the hallway in the opposite direction of the needle nurse. Around a corner and down a floor they found themselves facing the large glass slidey doors of the entrance. Once again she looked at him, a slight grin on her lips.
"Ready?"
She asked almost mischievously, as if they were kids about to set out on an adventure.

((OoC: the other thread is up!)) After being told the coast was clear, Saint made his out into the hall, following Chi since she had the best idea of where the exit was. He hadn’t exactly been awake when he came in, being unconscious had that downside. Once they got outside, all they had to do was catch a cab. It would be easy enough, since the hospital was in the downtown area. The boy already had the perfect place in mind, pizza was what he was hungry for and when moving in he’d passed on right next to the beach. Once a cab stopped, Saint did the gentlemanly thing and held the door for the girl, before hopping in himself and telling the cabby where to go. “ Paulie’s Pizzeria.”
