Kasumi did not take long however as she had already set the bag down and began to pull items out from it, it seemed as if the amount of things the bag could hold had no limit.
The school work was the first thing to get shoved to the side, next she pulled a delicately wrapped Katana from the bag and quickly propped it up against a wall.
All that was left was clothes, blankets, and various other things which she required to survive off of. With that in mind she simply tilted the bag-upside down and allowed everything to flow out of it.
Far too many bottles of hair-care products, nail polish, eye liner, lotion, and other types of make-ups and skin care products came up along with a flood of clothes of all different shapes, sizes, and types ranging from thong-type underwear to cutsie girl underwear; tank-tops, undershirts, a couple of Kimono's.
It seemed like she had brought her entire home with her and it wasn't soon after that she had done that that she had begun putting things away.
A short while later Kasumi had pulled the last object from her bag which had been kept delicately in a zipped up pocket, the item it's self was wrapped in fine white cloth which was decorated and a small smile spread across her face as she pulled the cloth away.
She still kept it with her, even after everything that had happened, it was a memory from what could be considered relatively happy times as she set the framed picture down ontop of the dresser folding the fancy cloth up she put it away as well. The picture was a photo taken of several of the students from #499 during their freshmen year.
"Thank you Jyo-kun." She said giving him a quick bow, it really was a nice room "If it wasn't for you I'd probably be in some crappy apartment!"

Jyo watched as Kasumi got a little setteld in. She definatly had everything besides her own home along with her in that bag. He was on the verge of making a crack about comparing her to Mary Poppins but in light of it literally being everything she had with her he decided to remain a bit tactful.
What really caught Jyo's attention was the photo. A picture of himself, Kasumi, Skylar, Octave and Evan. Probably the four tha impacted his life the most and apparently Kasumi's as well. "You still have that.. I lost mine during a break in at my old house when stuff got destroyed. I remember back then. Things were alot different." He said with an almost wistful tone. He looked to Kasumi at her thanks. "You're most welcome. I wouldn't let a friend like you just be in such a situation as stuck in some "Crappy apartment" as you put it. I hope you stay for a while. Unless you want to get some rest or something I can make some dinner. Since I adopted Lene I've actually gotten good at cooking to a fair degree." he said.

Crossing her arms she giggled a bit, tilting her head as she looked at the picture "Things were better back then.." She said with a soft voice, sure the school had been screwed up even in the first year but it only got progressively worse as time had gone by.
She had spent awhile blaming her self for alot of the problems in the school, hell, she still did blame her self but the past was the past and she had convinced her self that it wasn't solely her fault for the things that went on.
"Fine~ You can cook tonight but I get to cook some time!" Unlike some would thing Kasumi was almost good enough of a cook to be a chef, she knew how to cook all sorts of Asian foods but that was it afterall she had taken care of her little sister and her parents were always away on business.

"Jyo nodded. "Definatly better. But thats the past. No point in living in it. but it's a nice reminder. I'm glad you still have it." he said and they headed out of the room and Jyo gave a nod to her statment. "If you'de like to cook dinner every now and then or more often I won't complain about that. But this is something I'd like to do to welcome you here." he said as they went into the kitchen and he started pulling stuff down. if she knew enough about the meal she'd see the ingredients were for making a variety of italian food. It was interesting since people tended to like cooking food from their ethnic backgrounds and Jyo had no Italian in him. he simply liked the food.
"Hope you like italian. it's my specialty." he said as he removed his suit jacket putting it in a coat rack and rolled up his shirt sleeves and than began moving around the kitchen mixing and getting things cooking as fluidly and expertly as he could fight.

"Italian food is delicious." She had managed to have the Italia cusine once before despite the fact that she mostly prefered to stick with eating Japanese food, a little variety didn't hurt....though with her variety normally meant Chinese or Korean which really wasn't entirely different from what she was used to.
It took the convincing of her little sister for Kasumi to have ever tried Italian food and she fell in-love with it almost instantly, even if she'd only eaten it twice to this date....hey, she prefered the food of her people.
Kasumi had grabbed ahold of a chair and turned it around, sitting down on it with her legs spread to either side her arms folded ontop of the back of the chair with her chin resting ontop of them she sat there and watched Jyo cook.
"So....How have you been Jyo..?" She didn't really want to interupt his cooking, but she had to ask.

Jyo was glad he had chaosen a favorable choice for their meal. It wouldn't do well to make something she didn't like during her fist night here. He was grating the cheese when she spoke up again after stitting down.
"Well for the most part fine. As hectic as things are at #259 it's really pleasent in comparison to the past. Hell I'm not even a captain or a pillar. A system that we didn't have. but enough with school problems." he said now done grating the chess and putting it in a container and off to the side for a moment. He now was stirring some of the sauce before working on some of the dough for the rools. "I'm living off money from a new job that I do on weekends. Nothing illegal dispite the high amount of pay it has. It's working security at a research lab. I don;t know what goes on there but it's pretty high-end. Something to do with electronics I belive." he said as he put the rolls in the oven and went to work on something else. His motions were not distrupted by conversation. he was actually used to lene in there with him talking about her day at school. In fact she'd probably be home when dinner was ready.
"More or less I go to school and work and take care of Lene. It's nice having her around. I get a bit lonely. i'm kind of an outcast at school in a way. But since she came into my life things have gotten better. And you here adds to that." He said working on some Perogies now.
"I still keep up with my martial arts of course. I like to think I have imporved a decent amount, But thats hard to tell as I haven't fought anyone from #499 since I left. But overall I would say life has improved since moving here dispite the troubles I'm having here and there." he said turning back to stirring the sauce again adding some spices and herbs to it plus sme cut olives.
"How about you. Besides what we already talked about at school. how have you been doing. It's been quite a long time." he said.

She continued to watch, fixated on how well Jyo managed to carry him self whilst holding a conversation her head tilting a bit to one side as she listed to his story. Her's wasnt anything special and she gave a bit of a sigh
"Well...I returned to homeschooling for a little while....Eventually I left and wound up here, I'm not really sure why I chose here but it seemed like a good idea at the time and I wanted to get away from my family I guess.." She said out, her story wasn't near as great or long as Jyo's but she pressed on none the less "Other then that I've kept up with my Martial Arts, worked a few odd jobs and managed to get just enough money.."

"Sounds a little less eventful than mine. To be honest I'm a little envious about that. I really could go for a little less of a dramatic life for a while. I'm getting burned out every so often. And at my age that isn't good by any means." He said continuing to take care of thos last little odds and ends. "I'm glad to hear that at least during that time nothing bad seemed to have happened. Mabey a bit dull from the way you say it. But I think thats the way we are. You and I have been molded into people of action. Probably why we handle things the way we do. I'm glad to hear you kept up with your martial arts though. I remember you were the hardest person save Max to get a hit in. And after a while you became harder to touch in battle." he said chuckling at the memories of their battles. If she was up for it he thought of asking for a light spar later.
As Jyo assumed he was just getting the final touches of dinner done when the front door opened. "Jyo Kasumi I'm back." Lene said and she was soon in the dining room sniffing the air. "Oh Jyo really felt this was a kinda momentus occasion. he doesn't cook this meal often." She said winking. If anything Lene loved making things slightkly akward. She seemed to have a perputual impish grin on her face that got wider as she passed Kasumi and grabbed the plates and silverware then laid them out for all three of them. She laid one out at the head of the table where Jyo sat and then placed two other set out by each other and sat down motioning for Kasumi to take the seat between her and Jyo's spots.
Jyo brought the food out and laid it on the table then sat down and lookd at Kasumi. "Well have a seat. Dinner is served." he said.

"Mm....It's hard not to keep up with my Martial Arts...It's been apart of me ever since I was a little girl, I'd be lost with out it." She said honestly, her ears perking up slightly as she had heard the door open and then the girl calling out causing her to grin and then giggle alot at what she said about the meal.
Soon afterwards she moved from her seat over to the spot at the table that she was directed toward, smiling a bit as she looked at the food on the table, her head tilted to the side wondering if he had actually made all of that while they were talking a bit of surprise across her face as she giggles
"It looks delicious Jyo, thank you." She commented as she gathered of hers together and smiled over at the table at Jyo "So when exactly did you learn how to cook Italian?"

Jyo smiled at the compliment. "You're welcome and thank you as well. It's not often I get a chance to cook for others besides myself and Lene." He said piling some food n his dish like the others.
"And I learned to cook it over the course of supporting myself and Lene. I mean it wouldn't be good to live on take-out and t.v. dinners really. I found I had a knack for Italian food even when good with others. You should see Lene cook her Thai dishes as well." he said. Lene gave a smile at that.
She looked over at Kasumi. "Jyo's told me alot about you. He mentioed you were kind of the hothead of the school in ways. but you were probably better suited for cpatain than him. Is it true you actually used to lead the group he was with?" She asked curiously. and then grinned. "And what was he like when you knew him?" She added.

Kasumi giggled a bit as the girl had begun to question her, the curious girl would have to wait awhile for a reply however as Kasumi had currently had a mouth-full of food, she wasn't exactly known as being the most patient of people.
She swallowed the food down and gave a friendly smile over at the little girl "Yare yare....I was not hot-headed, I just liked to test my self...I enjoy fighting very much, it's in my blood...some people might mistake it for having a bad temper I guess....maybe I was a little hot-headed.." She added the last part on as a sort of mumble before continuing on "Mmmhmmm...Jyo was apart of the Schools enforcement group with me, we both tried hard to stop the students from fighting each other and causing more harm then good....But....Jyo-kun was nice, he always put other people before him self and he was a bit like a hero around the school...Which is alot more then anyone from that school would say about me..."
Now that she looked back on it she was more of a villain then she had been a hero, heaving a sigh she took another bite of food quickly silencing her end of the conversation...at least until she swallowed next.

Jyo shool his head. He never saw Kasumi as one with a bad temper. hence his description of hot0headed. Hell he was like that as well. It seemed a requirment back then to survive though. He couldn't dispute Kasumi's discription of him though. He didn;t find it particularly the smartest way to have acted back then. But he couldn't deny he cared for his safety less than other people's. At least back then. Lately while not selfish he had taken more care to keep himself at minimal risk if possible so he didn't have anything major happen to him and he could take care of Lene.
"Now Kasumi I wouldn't say that. You and I both made some mistakes. But you did alot of good for that place while there." He said. Jyo didn't much like Kasumi putting herself down. Particularly as they both had parts of their past they'de rather forget. "Lene I know you are curious. But can we drop the subject. #499 wasn't a place where good things happened. the only real good one is sitting right here. Kasumi and I met." He said not sounding upset. Just simply matter-of-fact.
Lene smiled and nodded. She knew the schol wasn't pleasent for Jyo to talk about though he told her bits and pieces at a time. it seemed the same for Kasumi. Lene brightend up. "So what do you like to study. Jyo likes anything to do with Literature and I got that from him I think. But what about you?" She asked.

"My best subject was always History, I'm not sure why but it's always fascinated me." Kasumi said, happy that the subject had changed away from #499, there weren't too many happy memories to be had from that place at the very least she hoped that at this new place she could make some newer, happier memories and so far she was off to a good start as she continued to eat her food before taking another break.
She gave a smile, running her hand through her hair as she did oh-so-often her eyes were softer then normally as she continued on "I'm mostly interested in the history of my own culture though, my family was very big on perserving traditions....." Which was another reason why she had left it was better to leave on her own then be disgraced and exiled from the family for what had happened.

Jyo chuckled slightly. "To be honest Lene as good as your marks are in History you would do weel to mabey speak with her at some point on the subject. From what I recall her knowladge in history was remarkable." He said.
Lene nodded. She knew of her intelligence but she wasn't like many who were smart. She accepted what she could learn and looked forward to speaking with Kasumi about the subject. Jyo looked over to kasumi. "So are you going to be looking for a job soon? I know a few places and could help you out finding one or at least getting you to them at the least." he said.

"Ah a clever little girl then, maybe I'll show her a special trick later." Kasumi smiled as she had finished off the remains of the food on her plate before leaning back in the chair, it was a dreaded question about employment that made Kasumi shudder.
She had to remember that Kazahana wasn't paying her anymore and she pretty much self-imposed an exile from her family on her self, so she'd eventually run out of a money and that was a depressing thought "I suppose I'll have to get a job soon...But I wanted to get a bit more used to this town before rushing out and getting a job."
