Welcome home. (Kasumi)

[Jyo]

Jyo stood outside the school in the parkinglot by his viper that was a gift from his parents back when he attended his last school. He had told Kasumi to go ahead and meet him after school as she needed a place to stay and he had the room to offer to her. He hadn't been waiting long really only a few minutes and the reason he was out here already was because he didn't have the last class of the day and had spent most of the time going througha few forms and then headed out here. he found it interesting that he would have someone besides Lene living in his house. he didn't mind in the least particularly as to who it was. But it would still be different.

[Kasumi]

It wasn't too long of a wait as Kasumi had come stumbling her way into the parking lot, seemingly having tripped on a crack in the ground as the girls arms flailed about in a comical manner whilst she regained her balance.

Huffing she straightened her shirt and skirt out before continuing her way to Jyo who was standing infront of a rather fancy looking car, why the hell did he have such a nice car? Did that Kazahana bastard pay him more then her?

She giggled as she stopped infront of Jyo, leaning forward slightly as the shirt exposed a bit of her cleavage her eyes examining over the car before she stood up straight again staring Jyo in the face

"Nice car."

[Jyo]

Jyo chuckled a bit seeing Kasumi regain her balance. He would of course not laughed had she actually fallen. but seeing her arms whirl about had ben kinda funny as he knew her to be grafecul in her movments for the most part.

He let her check the car out for a moment and then chuckled at her comment.
"Thanks. A gift from my parents last year for my birthday. I'll show you the chopper a friend built when we get home. thats a little more of my style to be honest. But it's being worked on right now." He said walking to the passenger door and unlocking it for her and opening it. He would leave her to get in. From what he remembered Kasumi wasn't very fond of the whole aspect of people opening and holding doors for her and all that stuff. So he tried to balance it by just opening it and getting in his side after that and waiting for her to be in an ready before he started up the engine and pulled out smoothly then headed out of the parking lot.
"So is there anywhere we need to stop before we head to the house? Anything you need to pick up?" He asked.

[Kasumi]

Kasumi had blinked a bit before tossing her backpack into the back-seat of the car before climbing into the passenger side of the car. Of course, she really didn't bother putting the seat belt on and really hoped that Jyo wouldn't make some boring comment about safety.

Leaning back in the seat she laughed "My parents didn't give me anything...cheapskates..." Kasumi huffed her arms crossed just underneath her chest.

[Jyo]

Jyo gave a nod.
"Alright then. Sorry to hear that." He said giving a small nod. It was sad when parents wouldn't do anything to help out their kids. But Kasumi seemed to have an ironic amusment towards the situation though he wasn't sure if it was genuine or if she was hiding how she felt. Either way she seemed to handle it so he left it at that.

He didn't do well with small talk so he told her a bit about the city keeping it short as he knew it wouldn't bore her like the little tour of the school and unlike last time he only needed to give basic info. he knew for sure Kasumi caught on quick.
"Yeah I'm sorry about back at the school. Ren or whatnot didn't exactly react favorably. i wasn't happy about that. Still poking her wasn't nice. You know I would have sided with you in a serious argument though right?" He said as e turned ont the avenue where he lived.

[Kasumi]

"That girl was strange." Kasumi murmurred out as she kicked back in the seat of the car still her eyes closed, she had a pretty good memory and she could remember what she had seen and she was almost positive that she had seen that girls eyes turn to black even if she had only caught a glimpse of it whilst Jyo wasn't looking.

"I know I know...But it was just a harmless poke." Rolling her eyes her head fell to the side, staring out the window at the things going back whilst giving a sigh "If she kept it up I might have lost my temper" Kasumi added with a small giggle.

[Jyo]

"You are reffering to her eyes I would assume. I know we've both seen wierder people. But that was different even than the effect my Qi has on my eyes. Like somone else was there." He said slowing down a bit as another car was now in front of them and he wasn't far from the house as it was.

"To be honest I would have been slightly amused to see you go off. I've missed seeing yoy in action." He said pulling into the driveway. The house wasn't lavish but comfortably large. Clealry three bedroom.
"Well here we are." he said getting out of the car and waiting for Kasumi to get out before heading up to the door. He checked his watch and figured the bus would have dropped Lene off already and she'd be home waiting for him.

[Kasumi]

Kasumi had begun to laugh at Jyo's comment about wanting to see her in action again, he was a silly boy though it wouldn't have really been a fair fight...and she didn't feel like sending that poor girl flying through a wall even if it was highly tempting.

Quickly grabbing her bag from the car she hopped out of it and followed up after Jyo looking at the house with a look of interest her head tilting to the side "It's a nice house.." She hadn't really lived in a house since her family left Japan, she lived in an apartment with her brother and sister before she moved and of course before her brother died "Thank you again.."

[Jyo]

Jyo nodded.
"Thanks. it's not the Hilton or anything but it's comfortable enough." He said as they walked up to the door and opened it for her and would allow her in first.
"And no need to thank me. Also.. Welcome home Kasumi" He said smiling and once she went in he'd follow closing the door behind him. Before he could call out Lene showed up.

Lene was roughly about eight years old. She was average height for her age with hair so blond it was nearly white and grey eyes that seemed to absorb everything around her. She had on a basic blue shirt and jeans. And had the obvious disposition of a tomboy.
"Hey Jyo... uhh Hello.. Who is this?" She asked. She walked up to Kasumi without waiting for an answer and though she didn't really get too close she walked right up to her and examined her in a way girls her age didn't tend to do.

[Kasumi]

Kasumi could have entirely too much fun with this situation as she stepped into the house to be quickly greeted by an eight year old girl. She giggled watching as the little girl examined her, a devilish little smile coming across her face before quickly sinking back into her face.

She would have to fight the laughter as she approached the child, closing any remaining grounds between them as her hand reached out and patted the girl on the head "Why I'm your new mommy Kasumi of course! Didn't Jyo-kun tell you??" And now all she had to do was wait for Jyo's reaction and resist the urge to break out into a fit of giggles.

[Jyo]

Jyo's reaction wasn't as amusing to some as it might be to Kasumi and Lene as they knew him better than others. He raised and eyebrow which was the closest thing he really showed to surprise and Lene's eyes opened wide and she tilted her head at this pondering.

The thing was that Jyo had indeed told Lene about Kasumi a few times when asked about his time at #499. So naturally this threw her off for a moment but then she grinned seeing jyo's reaction. between what she knew of Kasumi and Jyo's reaction she understood and started giggling.
"Thats pretty funny. you almost had me there." She said with a smile. Jyo chuckled a bit.
"As much as that caught me off gaurd you'll have a harder time doing the same to Lene here. her insight into things is beyond waht either of us could likely reach." He said with a small smile.

"But Kasumi is going to stay with us at least until she gets on her feet in this city. or however long she likes." He said. Lene looked at Kasumi.
"Really? Well thats neat. I've always wanted to meet you after Jyo told me about you." She said.

[Kasumi]

Kasumi had stopped to ponder for a moment whether Jyo had just called an 8 year old girl smarter then them but her only response was to shrug and continue giggling.

With a pout however Kasumi placed her hands on her hips and looked over her shoulder toward Jyo, sticking her tongue out at him "Oh? What'd you tell that girl? You're too good to be with me is that it? " She said, her voice filled with mock-anger at the subject before she turned again and leaned down, smiling "Hai, I'll be staying here for awhile. It's nice to meet you."

[Jyo]

Jyo chuckled at Kasumi's reaction. After all nobody could claim he was deviod of amusment and he went along with her mock indignaty.
"Why I'm hurt. I never consider myself too good for someone. But if you must know I just told her you were the only person I missed from that school and that we were good friends." He said keeping a pleasent tone.

Lene smiled at Kasumi.
"It's nice to meet you too. I hope you like it here." She said and checked her watch.
"Oh I was gonna head to Kristie's place for a while. My homeworks done and everything. Can I go Jyo?' She asked.
Jyo gave a nod and the girl ran to the door.
"Bye. I'm glad too see someone else here. Mabey you can get Jyo a little more lively." She said and left.

Jyo shook his head.
"As I told you. An interesting girl. I.Q. of 183 when she asked to be tested. I;ve never met someone like her before." he said.
"Well shall we get you set up in your room?' He asked.

[Kasumi]

Kasumi scratched the back of her head as she simply held up the bag, that was all she had with her and that was all she felt she needed. She had money of course, but that wasn't in the bag. In the odd bag was whatever homework she might have had, a futon, her prized Katana, and a bunch of clothes.

Needless to say it was a wonder that she managed to fit it all into the bag, even though it was more of a gym bag then it was a back-pack she shrugged softly

"Cute kid, nice house and a nice car; I'm jealous." Kasumi said, sticking her tongue out quickly toward Jyo before smiling "She's smarter then me then..." Kasumi commented on the girls IQ while blinking a couple of times "Alright, I guess we should...Lead the way."

Out of sheer habit Kasumi had taken her shoes off and left them at the front door, not really concerned too much about them though she was actually a bit relieved that her feet were finally free of the confined space of those shoes.

[Jyo]

"Well you don't have to be jealous. As I said the my hospitality extends to however long you need or want to be here. It's nice having you around and it's not like I don't have the room." He said and then nodded in response to her comment about Lene's intelligence.
"It's been a subject I am curious about. After all she grew up in the streets before I found her. It's odd how such people come around isn't it?' He said as they reached the door of Kasumi's room.

It was a pleasent room. About 20X20 with a nice sized closet and another door off to the right. A bed was already there twin-sized along with a dresser and a reading lamp. Basic but nice as nobody had lived in it. Every so often when Lene had friends over some of them slept in it but that was it.
"Kinda bare as it's a guest room but besides destroying it you are free to do whatever you want with it. It's got a bathroom. Not tub or shower just a sink and toilet. But still you'll at least be able to not have to walk trough the whole house finding it at night." He said standing to the side to let her look around.
