Bringing home a Mouse, Part Duo! Slowly the blue convertible Beamer pulled into the driveway of the good sized beach house. The driver parked the car before one of the garage doors and shut it off as the little girl in the back hopped over the side and scurried up to the door with a small sundae in hand. With a more casual pace Sky parted the car and shut his door before going to unlock the front door to let Reia scamper in while he turned back to make sure Mouse was okay. She hadn’t seemed to well during the trip… he would have to make sure she was okay before following suit through the door. The house itself was pretty simple construction. As one walked in the door to the garage was to the immediate right and a closet was to the left. Along the right side was a kitchen, and further on dining area, the whole first floor was open with an entertain center to the right back, which was all windows to look out over the deck, beach and ocean before them. Further to one’s left would be a half bathroom and the stairs to the three bedrooms, including the master bedroom, and two bathrooms, again including the master. That was pretty much the place that Sky and Reia had called home in California, now Mouse and Honcho could do the same. Once inside, Reia kicked off her shoes and dashed over toward the sliding glass doors to head right out onto the deck again to enjoy what she had left of her ice cream while enjoying the sounds and sight of the ocean. Which always made Sky quite pleased that she preferred that to sitting in front of the television watching… who knows what.

The ice cream in her hand had begun melting a long time ago but she couldn't life her hand long enough to lick at it. She had barely moved the entire trip, her eyes partially open, and her free hand dug so deeply into her pants, her nails had long punctured her skin. Her stomach ached and if not for the fact she had swallowed more stomach acid than anything, Mr Sky would have had a mess to clean- and she couldn't let him do that. Nor would she have allowed him.
Thankfully the veicle stopped, however, she was still wary of sudden movement. Watching Miss Reia spring from the car and Honcho following closly behind her, M.A.P. hoped Miss Reia knew ice cream was bad for dogs. But considering the food they had been eating, Honcho wouldn't be hurt. Slowly moving, she opened the door and stepped out, the melted ice cream on her leg not making a single spot on the interior. Gently closing the door, she could feel not only the glance from Mr Sky, but a trickle of ice cream and blood- one going down each leg. The warm and cold was different, but nothing to worry about- a bath, a good stitching and she, along with her clothing, would be as good as new.
Swallowing the last bit of nausea, M.A.P. looked over her melted ice cream- almost feelin bad for having let it melt. She looked up at Mr. Sky, and made an attempt at a joke? Is that what they called them? "Seems I forgot to eat it."

Reaching into his pocket momentarily, Sky turned on the car alarm with a loud chirp while smiling at the girl before him. It was quite endearing to see Mouse jest at having let her ice cream melt despite the fact that she had barely moved the entire trip and Sky was studying to become a doctor. He knew. Still he glanced at the marks she had left on herself due to the trip. Something about cars, or riding in them, bothered her greatly just the same as dogs bothered him. Noting that he lead the way into the house, never losing his gentle grin.
“Come on. Drop that in the sink and we shall get you all taken care of upstairs.”
There was a complete first aid kit in the cabinet in his bathroom, along with a tub and shower, separate of course. The simple pleasures of having a master bedroom. Sky would lead her up the stairs and show her where everything was and make sure she was all set. After all she wasn’t a little girl, though sometimes he wondered about that, and could take care of herself. However before leaving to go back down the stairs, the Englishman would pause at the bathroom door.
“Need help anything else?”

Having made note of clothing, medical kit and everything else, M.A.P. bobbed her head slowly. Mr Sky was different somehow- something about him seemed..more grown up than when she had last seen him. Blue-violets studied his every movement and she could not find a physical difference- there was something in his attitude and his reactions. She wondered if Mr Sky had stopped drinking- smoking was still an obvious thing but the drinking, maybe that was the difference?
She didn't know, but maybe it was simply being along with Miss Reia- being along with a child without help had the effect on people, making them either more mature or more defiant. Either way- she was here to help now and before a long moment of silence passed from his question, M.A.P. bobbed her head again, "Nothing more than something to wear, Mr. Sky. I no longer have extra clothing. If it is not a problem."
Outside on the balcony, Honcho shifted slightly. No longer sitting up but sitting and leaning against the little girl who smelled like cookies and dirt, he smelled his human and the tobacco man walk through the home- which he had yet to explore. The little human being occupied, Honcho sniffed around and went into the house. Sniffing at the ground, then lifting his nose, Honcho's ears went forward and he wagged his butt. Running down the hallway, he found a room that reeked of the tobacco man. Tobacco man's territory, but his human's scent was here. Darting past the man as the door to his human was closing, he ran and hid behind his human, before sniffing at the floor.
M.A.P. watched as Mr. Sky closed the door- she hoped he was alright but opening it would most likely lead to her seeing him panic. Mr Sky was a strange man with an odd fear but- she quietly guessed it could go both ways- being she didn't know why veicles bothered her so much.
Looking around, M.A.P. found the bathroom to be of an orient based style. The shower on one side of the room and the tub on the other. It was nice to see such a thing for this way all the dirt and such would simply wash away and disspear. For this she was greatful, turning on the water, M.A.P. exhaled a long breath and pulled her shirt off. Honcho simply sat under the newly running water, his back to his human- giving her time to undress.

Slowly Sky regained his composure from having the dog fly by him and into the bathroom. He had done all the therapy and everything to try to figure out why he had this fear. But all the shrinks he had seen could not find a single traumatic event in his life that involved a dog. The only truly traumatic event in his childhood would have been being told his parents had died, which is what one had concluded the problem was. She had assumed that either he had transposed his ache from losing his parents at an early age to something physical and common. Of course, her other guess had been that he may have been holding a stuffed dog when he was told… so Sky never took much of it to heart and dealt with it at his own pace.
With a deep breath, Sky headed back downstairs and out to the porch to see Reia finishing off the remainder of her ice cream, quite contentedly staring out to sea. The Englishman stood beside her for a moment simply staring out to the blue horizon as well. Upon finishing her treat, the little girl hopped for her chair and gave her father a big hug, glancing up at him while he gazed out into the distance…“What’cha thinking about?”
The young man shifted his gaze down to the little girl wrapping his arms around his waist and returned the hug. “Oh… about how silly I was as a kid trying to fix things I couldn’t… but uncle Tommie put that in perspective.”
“Really? He doesn’t seem like he could… he’s kind of childish.”
“Oh? And you’re a grown up young woman now, Miss?”
Reia giggled lightly and nodded. Sky chuckled with a small shake of his head, amazed at how grown up she seemed at times and how quickly that seemed to change. An example soon followed as she let go and slipped past him back inside. “I’m gonna go get cleaned up now.”
Sky smiled as the little girl went on her way and he went to do a bit of sprucing up about the downstairs. He still had his bad habits, the smoking and occasional drinking. What had caused the slight change, as he saw it, was being yelled at by his oldest cousin. Sky had planned to leave Reia with his aunt and uncle and mount a last attack on that evil he had sought to destroy, but having Tommie berate him after finding out changed his mind. When someone you consider completely irresponsible and childish calls you the same over your actions… it can be an eye opener.

She cleaned the bathroom as she clensed herself. The dirt and exaustion washed away- she seethed a skin found fresh air to taste and as old scars began to burn. Raven hair pooled, dragging on the floor even as she scrubbed away every bit of grime she could- using a minimal amount of shampoo, it was not hers, she did not need to much of it at all.
Honcho shook off, whined and barked as she washed him with careful hands. He protested to the removal of a few mats of muddy fur, but quickly calmed and sat still. Honcho was a very good dog. When she finished rincing him off, he waited patiently by the tub and snifffed at the floor- what had he been rolling in?! It smelled delicious! But as he licked the floor, a tang of shampoo and filled his mouth and he began shaking his head and pawing at his mouth.
M.A.P. stretched slightly, scooping up her hair as she turned off the shower, "We'll soak for only a short while." She told Honcho as she slipped into the hot water in the tub. Honcho's ears beked up and her jumped in with her but hung half way over the edge. M.A.P. stretched out and stared at the cealing.
She was still unsure of what had happened before she had woken up long ago by the river- all that blood, and the collars. But she wasn't in that place anymore- there was no longer a King of Smart- King of Dangerous- he was...she didn't know but he was not here. This was a new place, a new world- with the family she loved more than any other. How was she to serve this family this time around?
Raven hair twisting and floating around her limbs and covering her skin- almost like faux clothing, she continued to stare into the cealing as if pondering the very exsistance of it and their makers but in truth her mind was nearly silent. Honcho yawned.
