They had set a second appointment. By they I mean Kate and Valekin. And by appointment I mean for the tattoo. Today of course, he was a bit more prepared. Hoping she remembered the way to the factory, and his room. Already the cart was prepared, two canisters of black ink, two towels. A pair of latex gloves, the gun, the tubing, and a large set of needles. All for ten easy payments of 19.95! Just kidding, he fashioned it all himself. What I would give to know what he knows.
"Should be along any minute now."
Today was for the detail work on the crescent moon. Which meant rose vines, and a little more detail on the actual moon itself. Right now the tattoo was kinda unsightly. When it would be finished, it would be a piece of art. He was thinking about adding some blossoms. But he'd have to ok it with his friend first. Ah, friendship. Most of his friendships ended in disaster. By land mine or tank shell. It was still disaster.

The blonde parked her mini-cooper outside, and when her high heels began to click inside the building, the car beeped as it locked itself and turned on the alarm. She loved that car. The moment that alarm ever went off, she'd be outside in a second, beating the shit out of some one.
Her feet followed the footsteps she had taken before, working her way to the small area Vale called home. The tattoo had stung, but over all, the basics were done. Right? She wanted to change herself so much because of this. Her hair... she wanted to dye it. Not cut it, because i had taken her too long to grow it back out. Her hair wouldn't be short again. Not any time soon.
Vale had dyed the tips of his hair silver-ish. That had given her the idea... why not just strip her hair of color? White. A pale, white-light blue like color. Maybe she wouldn't look so pale then. It'd be different.
Or maybe she should just stick to changing her clothes. Already she had began to buy different clothing, despite the looks from the pierced youths in charge. Why would such a rich, preppy blonde shop here? Kate wasn't that preppy, was she?
No.... at least Kate didn't think so.
"Sorry to keep you waiting Valekin."
She walked into the room with a feeling of ease. She felt relaxed, and ready for what was going to happen. More ink into her body, more detail into the work. Fun. A smile was on her lips for her only friend, it was good to see him.

"I wasn't waiting long Mon Cherie, just getting all the gear ready."
He pulled on the latex gloves, making sure they fitted well with a few finger movements. With that done, he checked his inks, then picked up the gun and began hooking up all the crap that was associated with it for the black ink. He'd run out of the first canister, the second wouldn't get drained though.
"So, what've you been up to lately eh?"

"Just shopping, doing what I do best." Her glossed lips twisted around a smirk. Kate loved to shop, it was the thing she loved to do the most. The blonde sat down on the couch that smirk still there. Her bright eyes were dancing as she looked over at Valekin.
"What have you been up to Vale?"
She cracked a few knuckles, in an unladylike fashion and waited for an answer. Truth be told, she was getting antsy. Kate wanted to get started on her tattoo again. The sooner it was done, the better it would be.

"What have I been up to? Same ol' same ol'. Seen the news lately?"
Of course he was talking about all the attention he's been getting on the new's broadcasts about the Cannibal killer. That was him, he looked like he could be a cannibal killer. Not that he'd ever hurt Kate. But the first person to touch her would get something ripped out and chewed on. That's called security.
"Go on and get ready for the needle. I'm almost done configuring it."
He said gently. Swapping the current needle for one non-hypodermic needle sitting in a solution of sterilization fluid. This was definitely going to be an interesting conversation. That is if she put together that he was the killer. And that's why people never ever saw him eat anything in restaurants.

"The news? No... I don't watch the stuff. Stupid and boring most of the time."
Get ready? Ah right, her fingers pulled up the edges of her shirt. Vale was lucky, she didn't strip for just any ole guy! That of course was a joke he would never get. The blonde sat herself on the couch, and looked down at the beginnings of the tattoo.
The pale woman had studied it for an hour or so in the mirror. Vale was doing a good job. It was a huge change for Kate... but maybe it was something that she needed. No, it was something that she needed.
"Ready when you are Vale." She set the shirt next to her on the couch as she sat down. Her bright eyes looked at him and she smiled just slightly. Everything would go well, as always with Vale.

Poor guy. Growing up in a royalty setting did not do well for his social adaptability. He made sure to look away when she stripped off her shirt. He loaded the tattoo gun, and checked it. It was working fine. Of course. He was only checking out of anxiety. Women did that to him. Mostly because of his past. But he trusted Kate not to die on him.
"Ok, I'm ready. If you'd lie down. Would you like morphine or an anti-histamine of some kind. It'll really begin to itch now since we'll be doing the detail work today."
It wasn't her body that made him feel most uncomfortable, but her eyes. Always bright and looking at him cheerfully. People never did that anymore. His appearance, and his aura killed that emotion around him.

"Gimme whatever you think I'll need Vale, I trust you not to drug me too badly." Or do things to her when she was drugged. Oh well, it wasn't like life could get worse for her right? With everything in her past... that was a laugh riot.
She rolled her shoulders to relax. Kate slowly closed her eyes and tried to think of all the detail work Vale would be putting into her skin this time around. It was really simple really, just lying here on the couch as the needle was jabbed over and over thousands of times into her skin. Hell, it could be millions for all she knew of needles and the like.
That was why Vale was doing this, and not her. The blonde opened her eyes and smiled at him, it was pretty much an open grin. She trusted him with her life, and maybe if she knew the whole truth about him... she wouldn't.
But then again she probably would. This was Vale after all, right?

"Alrighty."
He said. Pulling out of a small medical bag on the cart, a small patch. It looked like a nicotine patch, but it was a slow release nerve numbing agent. Pretty much it gives the same effect as oxycotin. Without the hallucinations. She won't be able to feel a thing. He took comfort at that as he peeled the cover off the patch, and stuck it on her shoulder.
"It might take a few minutes for it to work. But you'll definately know when it's working."
He said, turning on the tapper. He held the needle like a pen, and flipped it's switch. It jabbed at high speed, and he began to draw on her skin. Putting in the detail work, one small bit at a time. He used a very fine needle. So the detail work would be ridiculously fine. A job like this would cost a lot of money. But it was all free. Kate was one of the only people in the world he trusted. He could trust her with anything.. right?
"Kate... I have been getting into a lot of trouble lately..."

Her eyebrows lifted. She felt like she could have gone to sleep...except for the fact that the blonde curled up in her sleep now. That would mess Vale up greatly with his work... so no sleep.
"What is it Vale?"
He had been getting into trouble? Funny... this was almost like a scene out of a tv show... except she wasn't his mother, and there wasn't ever a scene of a tattoo artist spilling about troubles to a customer. Oh well, real life was so much more interesting than tv anyways.
One thing was for sure. She'd be there for Vale no matter what.
"Somebody picking on you?"
The blonde almost snickered. Vale was a big boy, he could handle a bully. But if he asked for help...he would get it.

"I... have not been staying out of.... criminal trouble...."
That's all he could say on the matter, at the moment. The cops couldn't find him. The FBI couldn't find him. The CIA couldn't find him. It was true that if he didn't want you to know where he was, or who he was, then you wouldn't have a way to find out. His military training had given him some powerful skills. Skills that no one his age should have. And no one his age that has his current mental status should have.
"It's a mixture of oxycotin and anti-hystamines. You might get drowsy, and a little drunkish. Just warning you."
He was at the very tip of the crescent moon, working in the very fine details. He might get a fourth of the detail work done today. It would take a while to finish. Quite a while.

It didn't matter what exactly it was, Kate smirked ever so slightly. Drunk-ish? Oh that'd be interesting...considering if you got the blonde drunk enough...she'd dance on table tops. Very few knew that however, and the pale girl had grown to be able to hold her booze.
"Hmm...crimial trouble? You aren't dealing with the mob are you?"
Her tone got very serious... if he had, she'd slap him silly. Why did her mind go to the mob? Her father had been dealing with them, which is why her real mother died, her step-mother was in the hospital dying, and why he himself, was dead. The mob was a group Kate wanted to stay away from, and some people Kate would do everything and anything to keep Vale away from. You could call her a bit anal about it! She'd lock up Vale for his own safety if the situation got bad enough, to protect the cute boy. At least, he was cute in her mind.

"The mob? I don't deal with any kind of organization, Kate. If... my sanity is... obviously unmaintained, the only thing I am maintaining besides my body would be... my honor...and my emotions. So no.. no mob. They... wouldn't survive me. No one ever does..."
Hye ha ha ha ha ha....
He cackled madly. Yet, without an insane edge. His elliptical sapphires focused intently on the needle he was using to mark her skin. Imagining that in a far off reality, another Kate was gaining a better shield from a dear friend. At least that's what he saw it was. The work of his hands imprinted in her skin forever, but not violently. It was a benign touch. No matter who it was that tried to hurt her, he'd kill them. He promised himself that he wouldn't lose her like he lost his sisters, and his mother. [/color]
"Kate, I promise you. I won't let you die on me. The first person to touch you, will taste my cold wrath. The second... will taste it, and so will his family."
His voice was low then. It was more of a formal promise to himself, than a promise to her. But he meant it. It was something for his mind to hold onto. Those kinds of things save one's soul. And his was definitely at the very edge of the void. Previously a warrior for God, now a total madman. Maybe he was better off this way? Maybe not.

It took her a few moments. Just a few to make up her mind. Vale was different, oh so different than the person she had met so long ago in that detention room. Her free hand reached out slowly, carefully so she wouldn't move enough to disturb his work. Her fingers brushed the side of his face, her pale skin meeting his as she cradled his cheek. There was a soft smile on her lips.
"I won't die on you Vale. I'm not that weak anymore. You're the only person I've got left in the world now."
She had left everyone else behind in New York. But it wasn't like many of them cared for her or anything. Her father was dead, her step-mother dying... and Hiroko was gone. Her world had shattered and she held onto the one piece that was left in her hands, Vale. Insane or not, she'd be by his side through thick and thin.

He took a moment to himself. Finishing the work, then sighed. Grateful for her decision. At least now he had a companion that would stick with him through thick and thin. Like gum stuck to the underside of a desk. He cursed to himself. He wanted to be so much better, so much stronger. Why couldn't he be? Madness had made him powerful, had made him a force to be reckoned with. But.. it had it's negatives.
"Thank you. I'm done with the detail work for the day. That area might be a little irritated."
He pulled the needle away, and turned it off. Dismantled the tapper, and pulled out the needle, then stuck it in a disinfectant. He rolled the cart out of the room, only to return a moment later with washed hands. When he came in, he sat on his bed with his hands folded between his legs, elbows resting on his knees. Body hunched over.
"How's it look? Do you like it?"
