The blonde stood up, and carefully peeled away the towel she had been covering herself with. Turned away from Vale, so not to expose him to anything he wouldn't want to see. The detail... it was a wonder anyone could do something like this. Kate wouldn't have been able to.
"Amazing... yes, I love it. Thank you Valekin."
She hadn't used his full first name in awhile. It had always been Vale to her. What did it mean? Wind or something? He had told her long ago what it meant...but that was piled down from all the other memories crowding in her mind. She pressed the towel back to herself, and sat down on the couch looking at Vale. The shirt would have to wait awhile, as it would be too uncomfortable right after all the detail work. She smiled at him, bright eyes twinkling.

"You're welcome Kate. My absolute pleasure."
That was the response to her statement. A few moments passed by, where he let himself be put under her scrutiny. There had been so much that he had committed, yet she still liked him. He shook his head at his own thoughts, and got up to sit with her. The ellipses stared at her eyes for a moment before they focused in on the darkness of the iris, and stared into her being. The left one changed color for an instant. One would think it was a trick of the light. But it was Klaus' presence.
I remember her....[/color]
Begone demon....
"Kate.. do you still like me, for who I am?"

Kate blinked...had Vale's eye??? No...she was just sleepy from the drugs and was seeing things. The blonde smiled at him, chuckling slightly.
"Of course I do Vale. You aren't the same person you use to be... but I think he's still somewhere in there. You're still Valekin, and you always will be."
The blonde relaxed on the couch, pulling her feet up after her to curl up. The drugs were making her want to sleep, and they were slowly getting the better of her. Though every word she said, she meant. Drugs or not, Kate would always say the same thing.

"Thanks."
That's all he said, and all he needed to say. What he needed to do however, was plant a 'thank you' one on her cheek. He did feel extremely uncomfortable doing it. Because he had never kissed anyone other than his mother in the most appropriate way. At least to his current memory. Right now he needed a friend, and a companion the most. Someone that didn't judge him, and would let him change for the better himself.
"The feeling is mutual."

She clapped a hand on her cheek, surprised for just a moment. Vale had never... well, there had been that moment... way back when, but she had started that. Back when Vale and her feelings had been mutual. He had pressed a finger on her lips and kissed his finger. She had started that though.
"Good. At least I'm still a good person to someone."
At least one person. That was all she needed. If one person could remember the good Kate, the sweet Kate...then maybe she could still be that Kate. At least to that one person. And not such a vindicative bitch like she was to most people. Just maybe.
She returned the kiss on the side of his face, smiling. If she was still good in Vale's eyes... then she was fine. Kate was feeling better than she had in weeks.

"Yea..."
He didn't have much to say. What was there to say? He sat there, in quiet. Reflecting for a little while on what was going on. Valekin was a monster these days. He shook his head, and then rested it on her shoulder. What a mess, his life had become. He had to get out of that downward spiral.
"Rawr!"
He said, kinda... tackling her? It was a kind of tackle, I guess. More of a hug tackle. Or a glomp. But he wasn't in the air, more of a lean... thing.

Her bright eyes widened in a moment. Kate was shocked, at least for just a moment. Then a chuckle came from her and she just leaned right back. It was good to hang out with Vale.
"I'll always be here for you Vale, no matter what."
She pressed her face in his hair, trying to relax. For some odd reason, Kate knew that Vale didn't have any feelings for her in the way of a man and a woman...and it was nice. She had her best friend in the world.... right here.

"Thanks Kate."
He said, he snuggled against her for a moment. Getting comfortable. He had changed alot hadn't he? Not only mentally, but physically as well. Claws, fangs, even his eyes were a little different. His skin even had a different color to it.
"Let's do something."
By doing something, Kate should already know it's Valekin, and should assume his idea of fun usually involves criminal activity. Being as there are no tanks to drive through malls, and no rebels to kill off. This probably meant that he wanted to.. I donno, hi-jack someone's car, and throw it off a building. Or spray paint a big fat smiley face in an intersection. Something illegal anyway.

There was one thing, and only one thing stopping her. Drugs...they were still working their way through her system. She smiled just slightly, shaking her head a bit. It was time for a nap.
"You drugged me, remember? I need to sleep first. Do stuff later... okay?"
It was just about time for a nap...and the couch was perfect. She could already feel herself relaxing to the point of falling asleep. Sometimes, things were just awesome like that.

"Then sleep first. We can always do something fun later."
He needed to sleep anyway. He was probably up the night before hunting. Getting his fill. What a horrible creature lay on that couch with her. What a horrible creature remained her friend until the dire end. Some people were worse than he was though. Some people didn't give a damn about anyone. Valekin could take comfort that he could give a damn about someone.
It was unbelievably comfortable on that couch next to her. It was warm, and soft. Their hair intermingled. His pitch black hair, with silver tips. And her blonde hair. It was nap time. He drifted slowly, into the nightmare that he relives every day, when he closes his eyes. Too late to save them.
Too late to save any of them.

Kate smiled to herself lightly as she drifted off to sleep. Normally the blonde was plagued by her past as well, all the madness her father and other men had dragged her into.
But for some odd reason she was able to relax and just fall into a dreamless sleep. Smooth sailing, nothing to remember at all. How wonderful was that? It'd be the first time in over a week she had gotten decent sleep. Joy.
((OOC: short...but I couldn't think. ))
