Remarkable...
First time an opponent had used Qi on him. This had gotten Keith very much interested in his opponent even more. Especially very interested in his opponent's Qi ability. Keith could feel some pain surging through his arms as they felt a bit numb as if the blood stopped circulating. This was a very interesting Qi technique.
What Qi is this...? I'm starting to get very curious and very intrigued...
Keith got a taste of his opponent's Qi. But he wanted a much bigger taste of it. However first thing's first, keep himself from getting severely injured. He could feel himself starting to lose his grip. If you're going to lose your grip, quit holding on. Quickly, Keith would pull his arms back from underneath his opponent's arms and retreat back several feet away from him before he could do anything else.
It was about a good time to keep his distance from the person for the time being. But he wanted to see more of the opponent's Qi ability.

As Keith retreated backwards Cliff only smiled as he took in a deep breath, and then turned around to face his opponent. In a confidant tone Cliff then spoke, “I see that my attack finally connected, and you should know that approaching me in close combat is very, how you would you say it? Costly.”
After that statement Cliff spread his feet shoulder length apart for foundation, and placed his elbows against his rib cage as he tighten his fist and brought his hands up slightly. This position gave Cliff the natural foundation to hold his power along with the ability to control the flow of Qi in his arms.
In a cocky tone Cliff then offer to his opponent, “I will give you a chance to surrender. If you want, you may walk out to the dock hereby potentially saving your life. If that is your wish, then you should also know that by walking out you would officially be banned from entering the docks again.”
Giving a small breath Cliff then said in a lower and softer tone, “The choice is yours. Keith.”

“I see that my attack finally connected, and you should know that approaching me in close combat is very, how you would you say it? Costly.”
Costly? Somewhat... But with a Qi like this, Keith was going to have to play this one intelligently. But damn, this opponent was pretty damn sure of himself. However, this fight was going to prove to be pretty damn interesting. With a Qi like that, close quarters is pretty risky. But for now only go close quarters if you can't help it.
Coolly and casually, he kept his eyes locked on his opponent. Keith shook off the pain and let the numbing part of it subside. It was the best time to use his speed to the best of his advantage. However, Keith wasn't one to give up. Especially when witnessing such a Qi. He wanted to copy that Qi very badly now...
“I will give you a chance to surrender. If you want, you may walk out to the dock hereby potentially saving your life. If that is your wish, then you should also know that by walking out you would officially be banned from entering the docks again.”
Keith could only laugh inside. He was a gang officer and a soldier. Surrender? Keith would scoff at such a word. Keith's fought plenty of strong opponents and this person was no different from any of them.
What a cocky motherfucker...
“The choice is yours. Keith.”
"Tempting offer, really," Keith replied to his opponent. "But I have to refuse. You see if my boss ever found out that I surrended under any circumstance, he'd tear me a new one. Plus I didn't get a quick promotion to a gang officer for nothing."
He cleared his throat a bit.
"I have to admit your Qi is interesting. But I'm not ready to surrender the fight nor surrender my life. Besides, I've fought against many strong opponents, this fight is no different."

Holding his position Cliff had a small smirk on his face at the response he got. It was a predictable response, but an essential response in this little event. In any case the next move belongs to his opponent since each person should know the other’s strategy and should formulate a plan of action.
From what Cliff could gather Keith uses grappling moves in an attempt to suppress his enemy’s movements. To pull this off efficiently Keith would need to get up close to his opponent, and move around each of his opponent’s movements. Then using his own strength he would try to suppress his opponent. Unfortunately for Keith, it is hard to disrupt Cliff’s solid foundation, and if any of Cliff’s attacks lands a hit Keith would be in some trouble. All in all Keith would need to make up a plan real fast if he would wish to take down Cliff.
In a clam low voice Cliff then said, “I am sure you have faced many strong opponents, all giving you a hard time, but you should know well enough that every fight is different.”

“I am sure you have faced many strong opponents, all giving you a hard time, but you should know well enough that every fight is different.”
Keith's opponent was right. Each opponent required a different strategy. So far most of his opponents grappling worked. The beauty of grappling using submissions and counter attacks is that little to no strength is required. The creator of Aikido was a short and frail man. The creator of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was also short and frail. And they managed to take down the biggest of opponents.
You can strike hard, but on the ground it's going to be negated. First thing's first, Keith had to get his opponent on the ground in order for him to do his work. However, Keith would have to take him on the ground whenever he has the chance and don't downright go for it. Keith had to admit, he had to respect his opponent's standing game. Only time Keith would have to use strength if he was going to use anymore Wrestling attacks.
Now it was time to change things up a bit. However, Keith didn't want to use up all of his tricks and aces. Seemed that it was Keith's turn to attack now. Keith wasn't going to surrender. This fight was going to emphasize the need and ability to adapt. Adaptablity is the key to surviving.
This is why water is the most powerful element because it can take on any size, shape, and form. Taking his cue, Keith dashed at his opponent at full speed. Getting close enough, would circle slightly towards his left and throw a hard Thai roundhouse kick to the gut.
Should that connect or not, Keith would quickly bring his leg back and throw a hard Thai roundhouse kick to the chest, quickly bring it back, and throw a hard Thai roundhouse kick to the face. The difference of Thai kicks compared with other kicks is that Muay Thai fighters kick with their shins when doing roundhouse kicks.
If the attacks connect, three Thai kicks should feel like getting smacked three times witn an aluminum bat. This was only the beginning of the fight and was nowhere near being over.

As his opponent dashed straight towards him Cliff immediately brought both of his arms up to form a cross guard. As he did that Cliff took note of the speed at which his opponent moved. It seemed pretty obvious that his opponent was a fast little thing, and that Cliff could never keep up with that speed. It was equally obvious that his opponent knew how to control his speed without getting tired quickly. In any instance Cliff knew that he had to wait for an opening to arise before he could do anything, so this would be another test of his endurance.
Ok he is coming in close, and turn.
At the moment his opponent moved into attack Cliff shifted his body lightly towards his right and lowered his body so that the first kick would hit off of his elbow. Before Cliff could feel the damage from that attack his opponent sent another kick straight towards his chest, which collided in the center of Cliff’s defense. The attacks were powerful enough to send Cliff sliding backwards along with his left hand went numb from the pain for a short period of time.
Now is not the time to worry about small hits like that since there is more to come. Now came the third kick. Once that kick came straight towards him, Cliff then opened up his palms and slides his hands underneath the attack deflecting it causing it to go upwards slightly. As the leg passed over his hands Cliff would then bring his two hands together, and slide them down Keith’s leg until then hit him.

Keith's speed, wisdom, and endurance were the main big things going for him. It seemed that the first two Thai roundhouse kicks connected but the third kick seemed to get deflected. That wasn't good at all. As soon as the third kick was deflected, Keith would quickly bring his right leg back to the ground. Keith was going to have to use every bit of his speed for this match.
Quickly as Keith brought his leg back, he would quickly step back about two steps, pivot towards his right, and throw a hard left roundhouse kick to the right side of his opponent's head, then bring the leg back and step back a few feet to keep some distance between himself and the opponent. Getting a taste of his opponent's Qi, Keith was going to have to play this very smart.
Can't go rushing in head first on this one.

Swinging his fist Cliff quickly retreated back into a defensive position as his opponent had jumped backwards to gain some distance. It is obvious that this opponent is being extremely cautious after just tasting a small amount of his power. In any cause it was all right, all Cliff need is one good hit with a charge hand.
Then as his opponent launch another attack Cliff then moved his left arm up to block the roundhouse kick, and lined his right hand up against his left forearm to give it more brace. As soon as Keith’s kick connected with Cliff’s forearm, a small burst of Qi would be release in an attempt to cancel out his opponent’s attack. This Qi is not only has an extremely strong offense, but it also has great defensive abilities that Cliff would be experimenting with.

This truly was an interesting Qi and Keith wanted to learn more. If Keith could learn more about how this person uses Qi then he could copy it and add it to his fighting arsenal. Bruce Lee said take and assimilate whatever works into your fighting style, that is the basis of Jeet Kune Do. He would find out that this Qi can also be used for defensive purposes.
That could possibly be helpful. But there is the speed factor. Your defenses is only as good as your speed and reaction time. As his left roundhouse kick was blocked, Keith quickly retracted the leg. At the same time, Keith would cup his right fist and throw a hard hammer fist strike aimed right for the right temporal plate of his opponent's skull.
Should that connect, it should prove disasterous. It says that the temples of the skulls are weak. Along with weak bones at the temple, a large nerve and artery lie close to the skin as well. A powerful strike to that area could unconsciousness and brain concussion. If the artery is severed, the resulting massive hemorrhage compresses the brain, causing coma and or death.
Hopefully his opponent would be smart and intelligent enough to block or evade it.
It was one of the vital points to attack in various military martial arts such as Green Beret, Navy SEAL, SAS Combatives, etc. And Keith happened to be very familiar with the various military martial arts.
Should the blow to the temple connect, Keith would pull his hammer fist back a few inches and execute a hard hammer fist strike to his opponent's right eardrum. A strike to the ear with cupped hands can rupture the eardrum and may cause a brain concussion.
If the blow to the temple connects, Keith would pull his fist back a few inches and follow up with a hard hammer fist strike to the area that's in the back of the ear and at the base of the skull. A moderate blow to the back of the ears or the base of the skull can cause unconsciousness by the jarring effect on the back of the brain. However, a powerful blow can cause a concussion or brain hemorrhage and death. But Keith wasn't going to hit that "hard."

Just as Cliff had block one attack he noticed yet another attack coming straight towards him. Apparently, his opponent delayed a few moments with his next attack, indicating slightly self-restraint on power, which would give Cliff a slight edge. It seemed like his opponent knew how to seriously damage people, but judging on his previous actions that is not something he likes to do.
In any case, Cliff did not waste this valuable chance to score a direct hit. As his opponent brought his leg down, Cliff notices the delay preparation with the fist. Loosing his foundation slightly Cliff immediately lean to his right, just as his opponent threw his punch, barely avoiding the punch. Then in the next instance Cliff perform a quick jab with his left hand straight into his opponent’s gut with a small Qi charge. If anything this attack should just severally weaken his opponent, and if anything throw off his balance with intestinal disturbance, vomiting.
It is try Cliff is not the fastest fighter on the block, but what gives him the edge most of the time is his natural ability to exceed his limits for short control burst. It is this trait that probably allows Cliff to use his Qi, and for that matter fight on the level he fights on. It does not matter what your natural attributes are, what matters in life is how far can you exceed them, and the price you pay.

Seemed that Keith put a wee bit too much restraint on his blows. But he remembered what this person said, if he didn't surrended he'd probably lose his life. Death wasn't something that scared Keith at all. We all will eventually die of something. Somewhat severe damage seemed to be inevitable. He was curious to see the effects of the Qi.
However, the best way isn't usually the healthiest way. Such as tear gas, they teach you the effects of tear gas first hand in military training. Keith was going to have to feel the effects of his opponent's Qi before he could do some research and keep a journal. Yes, Keith was going to keep a journal of the types of Qi that he encounters.
This was going to hurt but Keith took the punch to the gut as he felt himself get weakened. The guy definitely knew how to use his Qi. However, Keith could still cause severe damage without using his Qi. It would be Keith's speed and knowledge versus his opponent's strength and Qi. And yeah, the punch was painful as fuck.
I might as well fuck him up in the process too...
At the same time as he took the glow to the gut, Keith would throw a hard right hook to his opponent's forehead at full speed and force. A forceful blow can cause whiplash; a severe blow can cause cerebral hemorrhage and death.
Should the strike to the forehead connect, Keith would retract his fist back a few inches and bring it foreward and throw a hard hammer fist strike to the top of his opponent's skull where the cranial bones happen to be very weak. A forceful strike causes trauma to the cranial cavity, resulting in unconsciousness and hemorrhage. A severe strike can result in death. Keith was going to go for the forceful strike.
If the second strike connects, Keith would quickly pull his arm back and throw a hard elbow uppercut aimed for the bottom of his opponent's nose. A blow to the nerve center, which is close to the surface under the nose, can cause great pain and watery eyes.
Should the third strike connect, Keith would follow up with a hard palm strike to his opponent's throat. A powerful blow to the front of the throat can cause death by crushing the windpipe. A forceful blow causes extreme pain and gagging or vomiting.
Keith knew he was going to get hurt. But he intended to make his opponent hurt in the process.

As soon as Cliff’s attacked connected a grin appeared on his face, as he knew he had just won the match. Normally with this attack, no matter how brief, his opponent should feel the pain immediately, and a nice chunk of his power. This opponent however was experiencing the effects, but apparently it was being delay with this last vain attack. Victory was already grantee to Cliff, now it is just how he was going to claim it.
Now his opponent brought his right arm back to throw another attack. His opponent may not notice it, but his actions suddenly became more readable as the damage took more of an effect. In a few moments he should vomit, at which point everything would be over. Now is the time to wait and deal with his opponent.
Now as his opponent threw his right punch, Cliff would shoot up his right hand, charge with his Qi, and grab hold of his opponent’s hand. Upon contact Cliff would negate his opponents attack, along with his opponents strength in his right arm. Cliff would then twist it a little, and get ready to potentially break the hand, if it wasn’t for the sudden pain he felt in his back.
Not wanting to show off this weakness Cliff immediately let go of his opponent as he jumped backwards. The effects of his attack should take full effect on Keith soon crippling him, but Cliff knew he couldn’t stay.
Ata a safe distance Cliff only smiled as he tried to hide the pain he felt, “Ok this match is over. You can call it however you want, but I got something to take care of.”
Now turning around Cliff started to walk towards the door. At the door Cliff would briefly look back as he then said in a friendly term, “If you just vomit already you would feel better. Also I am going to be at the bar tonight at 8 if you are interested.”
Walking out the door quickly Cliff made sure he closed the door before he took off to a safe location to give himself his shot.

That punch bloody fucking hurt like hell. 259 seemed to be even more interesting since Keith is fighting a whole bunch of Qi users. Keith was in pain, but he hadn't felt the need to vomit much since he hadn't eaten anything all day. The Qi was good, Keith almost felt his arm get broken.
But damn, it felt like his insides were rumbling like a violent storm. At least Keith managed to figure out what type of Qi that is.
“Ok this match is over. You can call it however you want, but I got something to take care of.”
Keith was still standing. He hadn't fallen to the floor just yet nor did he have any intention. Plus Keith didn't tap out to an attack either. So yeah, Keith wasn't down yet. In a sense it could be a draw.
“If you just vomit already you would feel better. Also I am going to be at the bar tonight at 8 if you are interested.”
"Right. I'm still standing, so I'll consider this a draw," Keith replied and he added, "I'll meet you there in the bar at 8."
It would allow time for Keith to recover. Only thing was now that Keith would have to watch his back. He didn't want to be in a vulnerable spot.

Keith:
Your arsenal of attacks is extremely vast that you are able to adept to almost any situation you have been in before. When experiencing something incredibly new you have an extremely hard time, but don’t let that worry you because everyone goes through it. By facing a new opponent you are able to expand your horizon, and the more you learn the greater your power will become. As you face new styles of fighting your gem will adapt to them the best way it can. By facing this destructive power your shard has develop a new ability that should help.
When any attack using Qi lands on you, your shard will absorbed most of the energy limiting the strength, but be aware that if you absorb to much power, or at the end of a battle you absorbed I your shard will release the energy into your body. Depending on the concentration of the Qi, the pain and the duration will be different.
Cliff:
Your mastery of your style is impeccable. You approach every battle with a level head, and an effective battle plan that is easily adaptable. With your skills you are to be fear in any thing you put your head at. What makes you an even greater warrior is the knowledge you know of your strength and weakness. The higher the peak of power one possess the greater the pitfalls are. By managing your energy effectively you can climb higher then anyone else, but the falls are even worse. Every time you exceed your peak your shard will grow in power too.
Whenever your Qi gates are open, not only will the power flow into your hands, but also the power will flow through your shard on your right hand. This flow will filter you Qi energy allowing it’s strength to be greater, but more costly.
