Fencing Club

This may be just a small room, but it would work well for the club Grayon had gotten okayed, amazingly. He stood in the currently unused wrestling room of the school. What if the wrestling team wanted to use it? What wrestling team?... And what if the school got one? Well, let's quote Grayon as he asked a teacher about it...

"If the wrestling team wants to use the room, let them spar us for it. It would be very interesting, and great practice for us... and maybe the wrestling team."

So, what now? Well, Grayon had already gotten some materials needed, a few suits of fenicing armor, and some different kinds of fencing swordsin a rack; foils, epees, and sabres. He walked over to the few sabres he had in the rack and picked one up. He began to practice a few lunges while waiting.

Grayon preferred the wieght of the sabre to the others. It may have been the shortest of the three blades by alittle, and a tad heavier, but it allowed the most difference in attack style. With the epee and foil, one could only score with the tip of the blade, meanwhile one could score with any point of the sabre. It also had a sort of sportsmanship about it, not allowing fencers to attack below the belt, which suited Grayon's attack style better.

But aside from that, Grayon just practiced a few swings and thrusts, trying to get a feel for the sword. He then set the sword down and picked up a metallic jacket to cover his torso since the sabre was also the stiffest sword of the three. He then threw a few more thrusts and slashes, getting a feel for the added weight. Until someone else came, this would have to do.

A young asspiring swordsman made his way into the Wrestling room, hearing about it. He was unsure if it was a good idea or not, but he needed to learn how to use a sword. The Platnum haired Freshman made hsi way inside, looked at the rack and instentaniousely spotted an Epee. his red eyes perfectly locked to this weapon as his hand and wrist made its way into the hilt, picking it up as if it where made for him. A bwildered and mezmerized look fell about him. His eyes scanned over the sword, his quick mind already grasping its use in sword fighting. Thrusts and if used right could keep a person at bay. Speedy little weapon it was, keep the wrist in a relatively small area flicking your wrist up down, or side to side, could block.

All that knowledge gained by simply looking at the weapon. His mind was fast, but he lacked the ability to use it when it mattered. He hardly noticed the other person there he was so mezmerized by the sword. He pulled it back the hilt touching his chest and he thrust it forward slicing through the air, the wind almost literally seeble from the precision, he pulled it back and did that a few more times in rapid succession. Moving forward step by step, not like a true fencer, thats one of the things he lacked, the proper discipline of movement a person must take to stay on par with other swordsman.

Once he was done, he swung it with hsi wrist from his left shoulder with his right hand, it went down curled back up and then whipped straight down.

Grayon watched as another young man came in and quickly grabbed an epee and used it with some proficiency. He looked the boy over, and saw that he did have some talent with the sword. He walked over to the pieces of fencing armor he had and picked one up, replacing it with the matal jacket he was wearing. He then approached the boy and held the jacket out to him.

"Nice form. You'll need some armor though, kinda a rule for good reason. The reason that yours is metal is the fact that my sword would easily piece through the epee armor, allowing you to greatly feel my blow. So, would you like to spar? If so, what rules? Normal fencing scoring for our weapons, or just something simple?"

((OOC: Wow... sorta sad for a first meeting... but I guess it was hard to make this work due to lack of members... Grayon recieves 2 exp, and John gets 1 exp. And remember, rping by yourself is perfectly acceptable, just as long as you don't spam due to it.))
