Another practice, huh...?
Dressed in black sweats and a navy blue short sleeved shirt with black arm warmers, there she was, the captain, standing on the track field, watching as the members came by to check in. Yes, she was now taking attendance, and once they took attendance, they went off into their certain spots to get ready for today's practice. Like stated at last practice, the short distance runners would have to write down their times for the 100m and the 200m race, while the long distance runners had to run a mile or two today, and write down their times. At the end of today's practice, she would collect the packets and papers for the homework assignment they've been given - for the long distance runners, anyway - the minimum mile sheet.
On her little memo pad, she checked off the names that were currently here. It wasn't easy keeping track of two groups, especially if a couple of the members were reluctant to do as their told, but all in all, it wasn't that bad. Actually, it was easy for the most part - things just got a tad bit complicating after a while.
Hm, let the third track practice begin~!

Slouching out onto the track, Jacob's dull green eyes looked around, his hands moving up to rub them. He had just woken up from a nice nap a few classes before, and was now having trouble tugging himself over to the field. It felt like he could just collapse at the moment, though after a few warm ups he would most likely be springing back in that energetic state he was in like before. The last practice was strange, he ended up getting slapped by that girl who's mind he couldn't read, and then he was called mean names. He didn't like it, he decided he would have to just avoid her for awhile, maybe he would have better luck later.
He made his way to the captain, and looked lazily over to her, deciding he would just let himself speak.
"Yeah, you know me already."
Jacob simply said, not bothering with the name, and then scratching the back of his head as he moved out where other short distance runners were warming up. He would just sort of go where they were so he didn't get lost. It seemed like a good idea, and of course, he had on the school uniform, the same thing he had been wearing. Nothing too special.
"Bah, a horrible day to hold practice."

It was time for track once more, and June was feeling herself more and more ready each and every day. Sure, she hadn't really improved much when it came to speed, but her endurance had been shot up to a whole new level it seemed. She was ready this time around, but she was sort of praying that the guy wasn't there from last practice. Hopefully she scared him off or something, he seemed to avoid her since she gave him a piece of her mind. When she walked out onto the field, she of course went to the captain to let her know that she was there, the albino girl of the track team was in fact present.
"June Summers."
Seemed like a good thing to do. Unfortunately, she saw the guy over at the short distance runners, and felt an annoyed feeling go into the pit of her stomach. Oh well, she had to go over there anyways, and that's what she did. She was ready for practice this time around to be honest, it wasn't as bad now that the throwing up part was over, and she actually could run for a little bit. She was growing as a runner, maybe at the end of the season she would be one of the fastest freshmen on the team, it was worth a thought, right?
Anyways, June made her way to all the short distance runners where she quietly stayed off at the side while they all talked it up and the stuff. Besides the social crap, track was actually getting really fun!

Yzal glanced around the field as he saw a gathering a students begin to form. Dressed in his usual attire of blue baggy jeans along with a black two sizes too big shirt, he felt kind of out of place standing on the edge of the track. In truth, he had come to join the track team, but wasn't entirely sure how to go about it.
As he continued to look around the track field, he saw various kids stretching, chatting or just hanging out, probably waiting for their practice to officially start. There was only one person, a girl, who wasn't doing as the others were. She was writing in a pad as she looked up to glance around every few moments. Occasionally marking something down. Perhaps she was the track team's organizer or something. He didn't know....did track teams even have that? Or better yet, did that even exist at all?
Well that didn't really matter now. What did was him signing up to join the team. It couldn't hurt anyway, he'd just ask her who he would have to talk to in order to join. Simple.
"Excuse me..." Yzal said as he approached the slightly shorter girl, "...How does someone join the track team? This is the track team right?"

She had just about checked everyone off the list until a newcomer - supposedly - wanted to join the team, or it seemed that he did. There weren't any requirements or anything to join the team, as long as you kept your grades up and from failing, you're pretty much eligable for the team. There was no test to join, you simple walk up to Mitsuki, and say you want to join. Pretty simple, yeah? Though, she did require two pieces of information: His name, and whether he was a sprinter, or a long distance runner, that way, she can tell him which way to go - towards the track field, or towards the benches where the long distance runners should be getting ready to run their one or two mile. And, of course, she had to give him the proper information sheet.
"..you want to join? All I need is your name, and whether you're a long distance runner, or a short distance runner."

Looking over at the albino girl making her way, Jacob only gave a nod toward her, though he doubted she would care. She was still bugging him with the whole thing about not being able to read her mind. For a long time, he was once again lost again, he now knew how hard it was not to know everything again. Still, he supposed the mind reading thing still gave him many benefits he needed in life, so he couldn't complain about one person. He began to stretch himself, letting his body bend over, and letting his leg muscles get nice and loose. Since they were going to start sprinting sooner or later, it seemed like a smart idea to do.
He was stretching lazily, he really didn't want to do this, it just wasn't the right mood at the moment. To be perfectly honest, he was having trouble keeping his eyes open, it was like a fatigue was hovering around him at the moment. It was still pretty likely pass away by the end of the warm ups, and besides, everyone has their off days every once and awhile anyways.
Jacob was planning on just keeping up with the stretching, he figured Mitsuki would do something eventually to get them started. Another problem with track for him, being led by someone who was younger than him. Bah, he was really regretting joining track, but it would get better, it had to, right?

June ignored the man's little gesture toward her, not wanting to deal with him at the moment. That was the one problem with the track season at the moment, him. Still, maybe he was more of a good luck charm, she wasn't throwing up anymore, right? She began to stretch herself out without much waiting, letting herself sit on the grass padded ground, and then moving her left leg where she would reach her arms out to grab the toes of her foot. It was best to get her legs stretched out the most, she was going to be using them the most often again. She hadn't managed to cut her time down any since the last time they were here, and she was quite annoyed by that, though she realized she could keep up how fast she ran in a more constant way as time was going on. She was actually happy she was getting better.
Once again, she was waiting for the coaches word though, and until then she would just stretch out a bit more. She was patient, and it wasn't like coach was taking very long, June had just recently got there after all. Actually, she would much more appreciate more time, so that way she could properly stretch out and the likes. Even though June was content with the whole track thing now though, she still looked very dull and uninterested. When she showed interest toward something, it still didn't look like it, after all, she wasn't too great at expressing what she likes. This was especially hard since she was just getting content with it anyways.

"Name's Yzal...Yzal Corletto." The boy said as he kept his orange eyes on the girl, "And as for where I'm placed....well i guess short distance. Long distances are just too...well long." He said with a slight grin.
Those weren't really hard requirements for anyone to fill, now that he thought about it. Most teams required a physical signed by doctor. And also most track teams never usually accepted every tom, dick, or harry who would walk up to them and ask to join. By all standards, this track team was lenient, if not bending then breaking the rules by not even asking for a drug test. Yzal didn't really care to much about these things, for as the girl said, he was basically in already once she got those two pieces of information.
"So um...who are you exactly?" Yzal said as he brought his attention back to the girl who had answered his question about joining the team.
Maybe she was the girl who was filed all the important team documents or something. Like a secretary...but if she was the secretary...where was the captain. Usually there would be a captain for a team. Unless there wasn't one...which would be kind of weird. Yzal quickly turned his head around to glance around the field hoping to find a distinguishing figure or something. But everyone looked to be doing mostly the same thing, either chatting or various stretches.
"Um...also, where can i find the captain?" He said to the girl, wondering whether she was starting to get sick of his questions yet.

"Mitsuki Park, coach of the track and field team. Short distance runners are over by the track field - there should be one other member who's in a group of three - find that person and be their partner. You'll run three times for the 200m race, and three times for the 400m race while your partner times you with a stopwatch, and you'll switch off giving you time to rest. You need to write down your time on this sheet of paper, and return it to me by the end of the day."
With that said and done, she would give him a sheet of paper and look over at the other short-distance track members, that way, he'd know which way to go. She would check the time on her wrist, and once done, she would walk over to the sprinters along with him, to get them started. Once there, she'd ask them all to pair up and decide who's going to run first, and get them started on switching off and such. Not a very difficult task, and the whole thing in general shouldn't take them longer than twenty-thirty minutes, really. Not even.
The sprinters should know what to do after she gave the directions, seeing that it wasn't difficult, and Mitsuki would then go over to the long distance runners and give them directions as to which way to run so it would be approximately 2 miles around the city. Not that hard, really, but it could get confusing with the turns.

A loud yawn was heard, the one commiting this sin of sloth was none other than Jacob who was getting bored of just stretching more and more. He just wanted to get the practice started and then over with as quick as possible. This just wasn't one of those days where he was in the mood. He looked over at Mitsuki, and then indirectly just got the entire information of what they are going to do for the next twenty or so minutes recorded in his brain. It wasn't like he wanted that to happen, it just sort of did suddenly, and he couldn't really stop it. He wasn't locking on to any single person's thoughts, so the strongest ones he heard was those he looked at. It really sucked.
"Great, this is just going to be dandy, find a fucking partner she says. There isn't even anybody here around my age, I feel like I stick out like a fly in milk."
Scratching the back of his head in annoyance, and already stretched out to what he thought was best for him, he kicked back lying on the ground and staring at the clouds. He would wait until she got there, he was no where near interested enough to bother with anything until then. He would just relax, he needed to do it anyways, it's been awhile since he got some moments peace. On the bonus, he figured out how to get peace and quiet, just focus on the ablino girl, and then he wouldn't have a sound bugging him. It was nice having silence when in a crowded area for once.
"Heh, a bet I can't read her mind cause nothing interesting goes on in there."

Switching over from stretching position to stretching position, June was pretty much determined on getting her muscles nice and lose. The last thing she needed was an injury by doing a sport, she still had to fend herself off from the crazy perverts which roamed the school and all. For most people, this might be dull, but to June, it passed the time, she was content with that. She didn't mind stretching, she found it better than running, less work. Still, the better shape she got in, the better things would eventually turn out. She would keep everything growing at the pace she was, eager to get herself into a good and fit condition as soon as possible.
She glanced around, it seemed a few of the sprinters had decided to stop stretching for the time being. Well that wasn't very cool, but she decided to ignore it. She didn't like them anyways, and as far as she was concerned, they could go fall off a cliff and land into spikes or something. Almost everyone on track she hated, even those she didn't even talk to! They all could just die, why not, who really cares in the end!? They weren't important anyways!
Back to the point, June was still stretching, her legs completely lose, and her flexibility of girlness being shown off to the entire world bluntly and openly.

Yzal facial expression didn't change, but was she really the captain? She didn't seem like much of a captain, but eh....who was he to judge right?
~Okay....so I'm supposed to find a partner huh...?~
Yzal said with a slight nod, confirming he heard what she had said. Yzal hadn't fully understood everything, but he 'heard' it. Yzal was wondering whether he should be actually running in his jeans, but it didn't matter to him, after practice he would be sure to get one. That and to make sure he gave her that sheet of paper she wanted.
Yzal looked around for a bit at the members of the short distance runners as he followed along with Mitsuki. He waited till she had started toward the short distance runners because he still wanted to talk to her for a second.
"Well nice to meet ya miss couch." He said in a casual tone of voice. "So could you tell me who doesn't have a partner currently? I don't wanta wander around aimlessly.....and also, am i supposed to run in this or what?" He inquired curiously while motioning to his clothes. He didn't really care, but he would have preferred something lighter than his current clothes.

Eh - to start off with, she didn't know who was partners with who, and to tell the truth, what's wrong with running in jeans? Ha, kidding, kidding. Though, jeans would be uncomfortable to run in, though he should've been smart enough to think of that before he decided to join the track team. Jee, smart one. The track team having just been set, there isn't really much of a uniform going on yet, but she'll eventually talk to Asiv about it. Track is an official sport in this school now, and that means they'll compete in track meets soon.
"I don't know if people have partners yet, but the only girl is June. Jacob is the one with the ponytail, and John is the one with the blue shirt. Running in your jeans is your decisions, though, you should have thought of bringing shorts when you decided to join the track team."
Once she dismissed him, she'd turn and walk towards the long distance runners to go over the directions in which they'd run in. Because she was captain, she wouldn't be able to run in meets, unless the captain of the other school was also running, then we'll see what happens.

Just relaxing, Jacob found his eyes suddenly shutting, a drowsy feeling was still hovering around him. It was hard to shake, especially when they were doing nothing except waiting for instructions of the captain on what they were supposed to do. It wasn't too hard waiting for her though, she was bound to get there before he dozed off, and if she didn't, it wouldn't take much too wake him up. He was a light sleeper while it was light out, and there for, at the slightest unnatural noise, like someone talking where it was at least somewhat directed at him, he would quickly snap awake. Of course, the drowziness would only grow, but it was far better than staying asleep through out the entire thing, right?
Thoughts were wandering around in his head, just going that little circle, girls, fights, homework, job, gang, all of that stuff that goes on in his daily life. Not one topic he touched on for very long before drifting off to the next, he was having trouble concentrating, too tired. Track came up here and there, sudden day dreams popping into his mind, more girls, naked girls, occasional images that wouldn't settle in his mind, and it just continued to go around. By the time all of this finished, his muscles would most likely not be stretched anymore, but hey, Jacob felt lazy sometimes, this was just one of those days.

The seconds that went by were being used to successfully stretch herself out, and for the time being, it was really helping out for June and the such. It was almost to the point where she didn't even feel the point toward stretching them out any further, but she kept going so she wouldn't lose what she had been working to obtain for the time being. She was safe, it just meant there was less of a chance for injury, which was a good thing. June was a patient person, she could wait for a long while before they actually did something, even if she did want to start working out, it was hard to do so when the coach didn't tell them what they wanted. Wasting seconds were fine for her, it wasn't like she was going to use them for anything productive, she really didn't have any better places to go for the time being. All was well... for now.
