Blood. It was all over Chrynos. His shirt had gone a shade of red with all the blood all over it, and his whole right arm looked as if the graduate had dipped it into a tin of red paint. His eyes was closed, his mouth open as his breathing was heavy. His right arm was on the ground, by his side, his left arm across his stomach with his legs spread out in front of him. To his left, there was a blood trail, leading all the way back to the hallway outside a classroom where Chrynos had fought that ruthless and dangerous Valekin.
He opened his left eye slightly, his now-blur vision making out the words on the door in front of him. "Nurse". Now, where the hell was she? Here was a man dying in front of her room, waiting for her to finally open the door after Valekin had knocked on it. Talk about call of duty.
Yeah, well, Chrynos was not exactly a student here, but hey, he was going to work here. Might as well get to know the nurse before he started, right? And what a very nice way of introducing himself too. Hi, I'm Chrynos. And I'm bleeding in the hallways right outside your room. Nice to meet you.
Closing his eyes once more, he let out a small groan, wondering how much blood loss he could take before he would actually pass out. Yeah, true, he might get killed due to this, but it was not enough blood loss to kill him yet. Not yet.

Tap. Tap.
Letting out a groan, he turned his head, opening his left eye once more as he managed to make out a figure walking towards him. And with the attire she wore, she looked like a teacher, or better yet, the nurse! Letting out a small smile, he closed his left hand, keeping the card that Valekin had thrown at him earlier in between his fingers. Slowly, he placed it in his pocket, being careful not to stain it with too much blood.
And then, he felt himself being lifted up and could not help but open his eyes, only to find them laying onto one of the most beautiful faces he had ever seen. People get dumb thoughts when they are in pain and for a second there, Chrynos thought she was an angel. How corny was that? And how was she able to carry a 20-year-old 175-pound man and still hum? Wow. A wonder woman indeed.
He soon felt his body touching soft solid and guessed that she had placed him on a bed. His left eye slightly opening, he could see her rather clearly. Then, her words entered his ears. Oki? Who was Oki? Was she referring to herself? Ah, so she was one of those types who referred to themselves as a third person. Ah, well. Opening his left eye wider, he looked up at the ceiling, his raspy voice leaving his lips.
"It's Carlos..."

Duckling? Well, that was cute. Looking at her, he found that she looked older than he was. Maybe... 24, or 25? Who knows? But never mind that. Being called a duckling, though supposedly taken as an insult, felt more like a compliment. No one came to his rescue indeed, but who would, with the scene that Valekin had performed right before the fight the two had had. Speaking of which, that student would need medical attention too, considering that he would at least have a couple of broken bones in his body and a few deep cuts on his head. In fact, he needed it more than Chrynos at the moment.
Chrynos simply relaxed himself, taking slow and deep breathes as he tried to get rid of the excess adrenaline that had been pumped into his body during the battle. He was relaxing his body and was now trying to focus it to recover, instead of exerting energy. It may be hard, but hey, it helps, kinda. Then, as Oki touched the wound on his arm, he let out a soft hiss of pain, jerking slightly. That was unexpected.
So, despite the flesh that was torn off and the blood that had been spilled, no main artery had been hit? Wow, he was indeed lucky. And who was his opponent? Chrynos then reached into his pocket, taking out that card his opponent had given him before leaving him there for the nurse to take charge of. Wiping the blood off the card, he managed to make out a few words, despite the blurness that was affecting his left eye. Why his left eye only? Well, cause he was blind in his right. As he read it, he spoke it out, his voice once more raspy.
"Valekin."

As Oki took the card from his hand, Chrynos suddenly felt the urge to sit up. The pain had turned into a bearable state and with the amount of punishment that Chrynos put onto his body almost everyday, it was almost unnoticed. Taking a deep breathe, he placed his left hand flat on the bed, and then started to contract his abdomen muscles as he pulled himself up onto a sitting position, his eyes closing as he waited for his body to get used to the new position. He was dizzy and tired, after all. Soon, when the giddiness had subsided, he opened both of his eye. If Chrynos had not been wearing Crimson contacts, no one would have noticed that his right eye was blind.
Then, she guessed it. Chrynos was not from this school. In fact, he did not have any school at all. Being a college sophomore when leaving New York, it was rather hard to continue his year wihout having to repeat the first year of college. That would suck indeed. So, was he still considered a graduate? Yeah, well... Whatever. Might as well. He nodded his head, and then opened his eyes slightly. He ignored his right arm for a moment, knowing that whatever medicine Oki would put on his arm, there would inevitably be a scar there.
Oki lifted a cup of glass up Chrynos' mouth and the purple-blue-haired male looked at her, shaking his head. He had bothered her enough already. Her job was to treat the students in this school, and he was not one of them. All he needed was something to help stop the bleeding and a few bandages. In fact, he was already done here. He needed to go back and get that student earlier here. Of course, he was only stopped as he found that his body did not have sufficient energy to move yet. Wow, he was beat up that bad, huh? And then, she picked up a clothe and a pen, arousing his interest. What were they for? Then, she purred to him, attempting to comfort his pain. True, it was bearable, but that didn't mean that Chrynos was able to hide it.
As her words then entered his ears, he suddenly found his eyes widening as he looked at her. How did she know that he was blind in one eye? There was only one way to find out. Focusing his attention on Oki's eyes and face instead of the sting that was about to come, he spoke.
"How did you know about my right eye?"
